This is my second review. After running the Pettracer for just under 1 year the battery developed a fault. I contacted customer services who advised that i could have a free replacement or upgrade to version 2.0 for a small fee. I chose the upgrade. Once arrived, really easy to deactivate the old equipment and set up the new. New equipment has the bonus of additional tracking options to save battery life further and also a beeper. I am currently in the process of classically conditioning KimChi so I can call him back by activating the beeper 😁 (also help in finding the collar if it comes off) I highly recommend Pettracer for the customer service and product. For those who have issues with the GPS, I'd stick with it. Try moving your Homestation somewhere different. Mine tracks really well, its positioned on the 3rd floor of our house under a Velux. I appreciate not everyone will be able to do this!

On Sunday 11th May, our cat went missing for 3 nights.
During this time we thankfully had the cat tracker callers which showed our cat in one area, indicating he was trapped in a building.
With the help of James White from pet tracker we were able to locate our cat and bring him home.
Ultimately if it wasn’t for the pet tracker and the help and advice we’d not have found our cat who was in a building unknown to the elderly resident and would have not served without food or water…

I chose petTracer after a lot of research and it came out on top for reliability, design and battery life. It isn’t the cheapest, but it’s worth every penny for that peace of mind. My cat lost his collar and switching to radio mode was a little slow and clunky when I was trying to find it (hence 4 stars not 5), but it was great that I could take the home station out on my search. James from the support team was instrumental in helping me use the app and the home station in different ways to find the missing collar. I followed the signal which led me into a dense border of trees, shrubs, ivy and bramble but I couldn’t see the collar. I switched the LED on and spotted it flashing straight away at my feet from under some leaves! James persevered and I was thoroughly impressed with his level of customer service. Highly recommend this system for any cat owner.

Fantastic company and product
Because of my difficulty I had problems setting it up but Anna was incredibly helpful & patient. Once up & running it works extremely well. I recommend this system for anyone with cats. The collars are extremely lightweight & don’t bother them at all. I’m extremely impressed

The help and support that the company provide is exceptional. They answer quickly and are efficient and always continue until the issue is resolved. Issues happen rarely, when they do I find them tricky to fix on my own, but as mentioned the support is excellent and is resolved quickly.
I find the location on the GPS is very close and the app is easy to use. I also love that you can switch to radio mode if the gps is not working due to lots of concrete/buildings getting in the way. My cat likes to get stuck in garages and the gps has literally saved his life. Highly recommend! Only a 4 star due to the occasional issues. Full 5 stars for the support and use day to day. Recommend for everyone. The collar is also light and doesn’t block the cats movement or weigh down their necks which was very important to me.

Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt und Service. Meine Katze toleriert das Halsband ohne Probleme. Am Anfang hatte ich etwas Mühe mit der Installation, aber der Service ist super, sehr schnell und äussertst hilfsbereit. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Pet tracking is a complex technical challenge, so whilst not perfect, Pettracer is a good solution. It’s not cheap but it gives us confidence to know where are cars are most of the time.

It’s helped us find our cats locked in neighbours garages etc a few times.

Things to be aware of:
- cats will lose their collars occasionally. I have almost always managed to find them but it was not easy and often very time consuming, and you need to be prepared to search through undergrowth and bother your neighbours to search their gardens!
- They tend to lose them going under wire fences and hedges, so it’s reassuring to know the collar release works. I’ve had to buy one replacement collar.
- the collars need to be charged every couple of days on medium tracking mode. The “slow” mode does to really work for us.
- the flashing light option is very useful for finding a missing collar, but you obviously need to look after dark.

We can really recommend Pettracer.
It is giving us peace of mind while our 2 gorgeous Norwegian Forest Cats are enjoying their time outside.
The app allows us to see exactly where they are, and we can change the communication frequency if we need more real-time information.
The collars are lightweight, but still sturdy and safe to avoid the cats getting stuck with it.
Customer support is very quick and friendly.
We've had these collars for 5 years now, and never regretted it.

Brilliant on all fronts. Easy to use. Cat doesn't mind the collar. Battery life brilliant. Range more than enough. Also if you need help you can ask for help by email. Anna was great really went the extra mile I would give her a millions stars if I could. PetTracer should make sure Anna gets a promotion!

We worry about our cats and tend to keep them indoors. When they do go out, they are wearing petTracer collars. These give us lots of reassurance and have saved a lot of anxiety over the years.
We've used petTracer (one base station and two collars) for over three years and find it easy to use and reliable.

I have been using Pet Tracer for my two cats for some months and the piece of mind knowing where they are at all times is indescribable. I love knowing each of their own roaming areas and found out one of my girls is a regular visitor to a home a few streets away where I visited to make sure they knew she had a home. I found out it was an old couple who love cats but due to their age didn’t want the responsibility of their own cat and my girl likes to sit with them on their couch and in their garden and even sometimes has a cheeky snooze on their bed!! They knew she was loved due to her condition and she has our details on her collar but they love her visits each day and the smoked salmon they buy her explained her weight gain!. A brilliant piece of kit and really excited for the new features on the next collar just about to be launched. Can I also add their customer service is outstanding and always reply when contacted for support.

We have used Pet Tracer now for over 4 years. Its without a doubt the best on the market it has the longest battery life which makes sense as when you really want it to work is if you are away! Our little girls has lost it from time to time as its important it has the quick release as with normal collars but we have always been able to track it down (sometimes at the local pub carpark...). We have had the odd issue from time to time but Anna has always come back super quick or if they know of the problem they send out an email. Highly recommend and much better than other brands (which we had also tried)

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem petTracer, obwohl unsere Katze schon 2 Bänder verloren hat (und Kater ist seeehr wild), das eine mal war in den Ferien und als wir dann zurückkamen, war die Batterie leer und somit hatten wir keine Chance mehr das Band zu suchen.
Das andere Mal hatten wir super Support von PetTracer, sie gab uns Tipps, sendete uns eine Karte, wo dass wir auf jeden Fall suchen müssen und eine nochmals eine Anleitung, wie wir die Homestation mobil machen können. Das Band liegt im Kreuz 3er Gärten, wir konnten es immer wieder bis zu 98% orten, haben es aber einfach nicht mehr gefunden.
Zusätzlich bekamen wir das neue Band dann zu einem vergünstigten Preis!
So ein Kundenservice ist selten zu finden, vielen lieben Dank für Euren Support!!

I bought this collar because I believed it was the best product available. I now know I was correct. With a very long battery life, this is an amazing product and worth every penny. Like all Tom cats, ours has fights. On one occasion, during the cat grapple, his opponent held him with the cat collar and it came off. Using the radio system we easily found the collar very quickly and it was about 300 yards from our home in leaves under a tree.

It is worth the money just to see how far your cat travels. You may be surprised! Ours travels up to 3/4 of a mile away but we have the piece of mind knowing that he never crosses busy roads. My wife and I sleep much better knowing this, and knowing this has saved him being neutered. Ouch!!

We did have a problem with the collar once and the support we got was amazing.
I can't recommend enough. Great product, great company.

Das System ermöglicht es, den Standort bzw. die Bewegungen unserer Katzen zu ermitteln bzw. zu verfolgen. Die Halsbänder sind klein und leicht und wurden problemlos angenommen. Wir sind mit der Funktion wie mit dem Support sehr zufrieden und lassen unsere Katzen nicht mehr ohne die Pettracer-Halsbänder aus dem Haus.

We used Pet Tracer for 2 years after our cat went missing for 2 days (got shut in an empty house). Although we never had to use it in its 'find' mode it was very useful to see the range and area our cat was covering and gave us peace of mind. Our cat was perfectly happy wearing the collar and only lost it once.

I have found customer services truly great. They have spend hours helping me locate a lost collar. The situation was very tricky as someone had picked up the collar and placed it inside their garage. Nonetheless the radio technology allowed me to trace the collar to the outside of that particular garage. Because I have now located a lost collar twice, I have confidence that I would also find my cat. In fact it has already once saved my cat after he was stuck on a roof with a dog preventing his escape.

The collar was not suitable for my cat, the returns process and help I was given was first class.
