I recently had a new kitchen installed by PiloN, who was contracted by my local authority. Unfortunately, the project felt rushed, and there were several oversights along the way. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this agency. Communication was particularly challenging, as the staff's command of English was limited, which made it difficult to convey my concerns effectively. I also felt that, as a woman, my input was not taken seriously, which was incredibly frustrating. Instead of addressing issues or seeking solutions, the team was defensive and unhelpful, often treating me dismissively. Based on this experience, I would not recommend and would never allow them entry to my property again.

I am suspicious that the 5 star reviews are not genuine. I've had pilon working in my home for 3 months now and everything they touch is made worse and has to be redone and it's still poor. The work they are suppose to do is completely ignored and they just do quick fixes. Poor painting, poor plastering, poor tiling, poor plumbing, poor sanding. Every hole is filled with sealant instead of the correct materials. They have yet to collect the rubbish from their "work" it's still sitting outside my home. And when they think they have done a good enough job and believe they are finished when they are not even close, they shove a customer satisfaction survey in your face expecting you to sign off the work. Absolutely disgusting company.
New bathroom fitted
Had a new bathroom fitted and cannot fault the process. Work began 31st Jan and ended 12th Feb. All workmen were polite and efficient and left the area clean after they’d finished. Kept completely up to date daily by Monica, who was so nice! Very pleased with the overall result.

Had a bathroom installed . At every step of the way I was notified about what would be happening and who would be there.. Everyone I came in contact with was prompt and always cleaned up after themselves. Very grateful for all of their hard work and finished product
New kitchen in progress... Still!
New kitchen in progress. This is my 3rd week; started on 20th January, and was supposed to be completed 2 weeks later. The painter failed to mist coat the plaster, so the paint is peeling off the wall in chunks. RLO came and agreed that the work is awful and that she'd get the painter back to sand the walls back to do the mist coat... Still waiting 4 days later and today the RLO has failed to respond to my text asking what's happening - even though on the day, she told me I should be angry about the state of the kitchen (after I told her I'm patient and understanding and that I can appreciate that mistakes happen)! Now my patience is running out and the anger I "should have" is here... and being ignored.
My kitchen is a shell and my flat is a mess. None of the workers speak good enough English to communicate issues with; they turn up outside of allocated times, aren't happy that I haven't left a key for them to access MY home when I'm not in! They let you down, lie about communicating with you, don't keep you informed whether or not they're returning, cut corners and then refuse to come back to fix their sh**ty workmanship. If I could go back, I'd stick with the previous disaster they fitted before I moved in... at least I HAD A KITCHEN!! I'm about to write a formal complaint, but I doubt they'll care... why should they, hey?! Terrible. How this company got awards, I'll never know!

I have a shiny new bathroom thanks to all the guys at Pilon - plus Monica she deserves a massive shout out for calling me every evening with was due out & when to expect them.
All the workmen were polite friendly & very hardworking.
I had one minor issue that site manager rectified asap

I had pilot Ltd come and install a new kitchen..im truly amazed at the hard work these guys have put in..the kitchen was a total wreck before wasn't an easy job for them..Devarda and the site manager Constantine have been truly amazing from start to finish..Devarda has been on the end of the phone at any time I needed to ask a question nothing was too much trouble..
All the guys working were extremely hard working..never stopped for even a drink..they all communicated so well with each other its like a fine tuned machine..one guy finishes in comes the next..very polite workman very tidy and cleaned up everyday..I cant thank them enough for there work I have a beautiful kitchen and can't thank them enough..Devard messaged everyday to let me know who was coming that day and wether it was am or pm so I knew what was happening. I'm with South essex homes and I have to say I can't thank them all enough..what could have been very stressful hasn't been due to all the teams efforts..so thankyou to you all
Pilon ltd bath renovation
I had Pilon ltd come out to my property ripped my bathroom out and replastered all the walls and decorated and reinstalling new bathroom and flooring in both toilet and bathroom nearly finished but very satisfied with the work and professionalism of the people employed they are very polite and very hard-working always on time communicated through call or text from denada to say who was coming that day and whether am or pm appointment and constantin,protected my flooring as well ,previously hired for my kitchen to and that is 2 years old no problems with it thoroughly recommend thankyou to both denada and constantin south Essex homes for completing the works and brilliant communication thankyou again

Wow what a shower of s**t if you need a company to cut corners and I use the word loosely tradesmen that can't speak English when suits and no good at there jobs this is the company for you good luck if you are having any work done by them
PiLON ltd is not a skilled company and…
PiLON ltd is not a skilled company and I do not recommend them. They fix a new kitchen in our property last year around November 2023. They left the sockets by the sink unwired and coming off the wall and to date I am unable to connect my washing machine. They suggested to buy a new cooker extractor and it was never connected: to date i can use it when cooking and I can’t use the extractor inbuilt light to help with my low vision impairment. They changed by electric switch box and also left wires out and a hole in the wall. I have been trying to contact the company several times and send messages to the organiser Denada Lika but I was ignored. I complain to one housing/riverside and no response yet. There are also other issues to address but it would be too long on this site. Really bad customer experience. Plus health and safety issues still standing with the electrical part. Not recommend hazardous company.
Rubbish cheap cowboys
Rubbish cheap cowboys don’t know there job.. lack communication as can’t speak English.. they cut my internet cable left me with low water pressure put up damage units didn’t grout tiles properly or seal them didn’t screen my floor .. just cowboys don’t use them

Messed my family around saying one day job next don't turn up never clean up having to wait around all day to be told nobodys coming to do the job or when they disconnect items to ask if they can put back to then be told it's not our job when clearly they no how to disconnect items never tell u what time they are coming then turn up unexpected some nice and willing to allow my special needs kids to watch what they do some rude even when ur trying to help even when one becomes ill and u try to help yes they are Romanian guys but they understand English ok plus they don't need to be rude towards my kids

Poor workmanship and lack of communication and co-ordination. One of them trying to get private work. Ripped out everything without consultation, and no like for like replacement. Bare minimum. Housing Associations appear to have procured the cheapest outfit rather than best value.
The option is All or Nothing. So much wastage by ripping out stuff in good condition. Housing Associations WAKE UP. Use our Service Charges fairly and sensibly..
There were a couple of good workers who unfortunately will get tarnished with the same brush.
Absolutely loving my new kitchen!
I’m very pleased with my kitchen refurbishment I absolutely love it! I’m with Notting Hill Genesis housing association. Pilon attended my property in April to conduct the surveys, at the beginning of May I was contacted with a start date for my kitchen. They started on 05th June and was completed by 24th this was a lot quicker than I expected. The communication was good every day the resident liaison officer Adrianna would text and advise which trade person would be attending on the day. There was only one day during the 2 weeks that nobody attended my property. The workers were friendly, polite and respectful they worked really hard especially the handyman and the carpenter. I did experience a few minor issues along the way but these were resolved Adrianna was always at the end of phone happy to assist with an immediate resolve. The site manager Andre visited my property a few times he was polite and happy to assist with any enquiries. I have had a pleasant experience with the company.

Do not let them into your home . I do not know where to begin . They were constantly late or didn’t show up . They did a shoddy job , they broke things , spilled paint all over the patio , burned the floor , the shower still doesn’t work and the job they did was unsatisfactory

I would like to say how extremely happy I was with the service received from Peter at PiLon. The company accommodated my request for an early appointment as I had to visit the resident in hospital. The electrician in fact turned up at the property before my taxi had dropped me off, very impressive.
The professionalism shown by Peter was second to none. He completed a full electrical check in the property, noticing that the fire alarm had expired years previous to when my relative moved in. He immediately inserted a new fire alarm, independent of the communal one. Again, extremely pleased as my relative is elderly.
I would definitely recommend this company in particular for their understanding in accomodating me when I was only availalbe at a certain time.

Kitchen Replacement
My Housing Association Southern Housing Group: SHG have an ongoing contract with PiLon they sent a Tenant Liaison woman to "Survey" my home, when I pointed out that I'd only be interested in the Kitchen units pictured on their website, not the cheap one's listed in our mail-out, she became rather aggressive. As if I should in some way be grateful that she'd turned up to do a job she obviously wasn't qualified to do (no tape measure, a bit of a giveaway), needless to say I gave her, her marching orders...

I am so bless that my bathroom has finally been done it was worth the waiting for it look better than I thought it would thanks to all at pilon staff and workers I am sorry to heard about other people kitchen taking so long as I recall when I did had my kitchen done in the past with another company it took two months for them to finish it it should of been finish in three weeks when it was done it was worth the waiting for as it look better than it was before you all have a blessed day 🙏

Currently going through having a kitchen put in, planner done the planning wrong as I had a oven and grill and the plan said just oven so now Iam getting a larder that takes 4 weeks to come to I will have half a kitchen done.
They started the work 31st jan and ripped kitchen out and I have had no hot water in the house since then only hot water in the kitchen, and the date today is 13th Feb, I have called numerous times and nothing, it’s a good thing I have an electric shower.
They don’t communicate with each other meaning the carpenter and plumber, electrician don’t talk to each other to know who is to come and what is to do next. u leave messages with them and no one calls back, if they do it’s 2 days later or when you leave more than 2 messages. They don’t take instructions very well and they don’t keep you updated as to what they are doing. Very bad company to do work for you, I would not touch them with a barge pole.
Very disappointing, so angry with them.
DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
