I feel I must elaborate a bit.
My experience is mixed. Pilot Headquarters itself was excellent in every way.
The product, leaves a lot to be desired. I used to enjoy these balsa gliders a lot when I was young. We used to buy them for $.10 at the corner store. Today, the prices are ridiculous, but I wanted to pass the experience on to a grandson who loves planes. The manufacturer, Paul T. Guillow, has cheapened the quality considerably, compared to years ago. So much so, that they are almost unflyable as sold. Having much knowledge of model and full size aircraft, I was able to effect the necessary, and most basic modifications needed in order for the planes to fly. It was very obvious that cost cutting over the years, made the product almost useless.
My next issue was the U.S. Postal Service. The tracking had the package sitting at its initial terminal location for a week and a half. Had I not called Pilot Headquarters, it probably would still be sitting there. They ran an inquiry, which got things moving. Good company to deal with, will not recommend the product, and USPS had better get their act together!

I would significantly discourage service with these people. I ordered a book a few weeks ago and did not get it. I contacted customer service and they sympathized with how "frustrating" something like this must be, however they have done nothing to help me out. I have been fighting with the USPS by myself. They have not tried helping me resolve my issue. Good customer service is based on how they handle situations for the customer that does not go well. I can honestly say that fighting the USPS alone and being abandoned by pilot shows where their priorities are. If you don't have something go right, I can honestly tell you they are not a business that has your best interest at heart. They might be cheaper, but when you don't get your product, don't expect a refund.

Shipping was too long and not at all what was quoted. But is understandable with the magnitude of mail the USPS and UPS had to deal with.

Everything was great. The post office at this end messed up the delivery AND BUT your wonderful people helped track down the USPS's error! Will defiantly be my first stop from now on for some of these hard to find items. My struts thank you!
