Mr Chris from West London centre is a star 🌟
Today I was assisted by Mr Chris in West London Centre and I was treated like a king 🤴. In this days you don't find so easily people so professional like Mr Chris!
I whish to give 10 stars but maximum is 5😅
Warranty Refund ?
I have always associated Porsche with engineering excellence and premium customer service. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Porsche Cars Great Britain has been anything but premium.
Following the sale of my 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S to a non-Porsche dealer, I requested the cancellation of my Porsche Approved Warranty and Porsche Assist. Porsche's own warranty terms state that the warranty cannot be transferred when a vehicle is sold to a non-Porsche dealer, so there was never any uncertainty regarding my entitlement to a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.
Despite that, Porsche had all of the required documentation and my bank details, I was left chasing for updates, receiving no acknowledgement and virtually no communication throughout the process. It was only after escalating the matter that I was eventually provided with a timeline explaining what had happened.
To add insult to injury, I have now been advised that, even after the refund request has been processed, it can take a further 4 to 6 weeks for the money to be credited to my bank account. In 2026, when electronic payments are made almost instantly, expecting customers to wait several weeks for the return of money they are clearly entitled to is, in my view, entirely unacceptable. Had the situation been reversed, I doubt Porsche would have been prepared to hand over a £200,000 vehicle and then wait 4 to 6 weeks to receive payment.
The issue has never been the refund itself. It has been the unnecessary delays, the lack of transparency and the complete absence of proactive communication. For a brand that commands premium prices and prides itself on customer experience, this fell well below the standard I expected.
I sincerely hope Porsche reviews both its refund process and its customer communication. Premium products deserve premium customer service.
⚠️ THINKING OF BUYING A PORSCHE TAYCAN
⚠️ THINKING OF BUYING A PORSCHE TAYCAN? DON'T. ⚠️
I need to share a massive cautionary tale about Porsche’s current state of "customer service" and vehicle security. If you are considering a Taycan, please read this first.
While parked and charging at an InstaVolt station in Syon Park, Brentford, my car was broken into. The thieves managed to completely jam the car alarms and security systems—meaning absolutely nothing was triggered, and I had no idea it was happening.
If the security vulnerability wasn't bad enough, the absolute failure of Porsche's support network has been staggering:
Porsche Centre Nottingham: Complete silence. No response whatsoever.
Porsche Centre Leicester: Told me there is nothing they can do. The replacement glass is on backorder, and they apparently "can't escalate" the issue to Porsche UK.
Porsche UK: Completely unreachable by phone or email because they are having a "training day" and have decided no one needs to be customer-facing.
Auto Windscreens: Confirmed there is no aftermarket glass available anywhere. I am entirely at the mercy of Porsche Germany's supply chain.
Porsche Assistance (The AA): Slapped some plastic film over the shattered window. It’s neither secure nor waterproof, meaning I am now effectively left without a car.
When you buy a premium EV, you expect premium support when things go wrong. Instead, I’ve been met with a brick wall of bureaucracy, zero urgency, and a £70k+ paperweight sitting on my drive.
Do yourself a massive favour: avoid the headache and don't buy a Porsche Taycan.

PORSCHE at Colchester offered to take…
PORSCHE at Colchester offered to take me home while my car was being given its first service then pick me up later in the day to collect my vehicle. Within 48 hours the Porsche dealership withdraw that offer - and offered my "free barista-type coffee" for the many hours of waiting while they serviced my vehicle. Appalling customer service from this dealership.
I have now seen on Trustpilot the huge number of negative reviews about Porsche - clearly the brand is dropping negtaively like a stone. Colchester Porsche has just added to its dismal reputation.
Porsche Bristol
Porsche Bristol. I referred a friend who bought a £106k car but as the salesman had left they did not pay me a fee!! Absolutely crazy and not one follow up on my purchase and zero customer service. Very disappointing so bought from a lovely Porsche dealer in Leicester.
Wanted to buy their E type Jaguar
Wanted to buy their E type Jaguar.
Bashir said it was sold and the price jumped from £39,995 to £59,995.00 the next day. Now on EBay.
Very disappointed.
It doesn’t ring true.
To many stories for me.
Utterly disappointing
Took my Cayman to the Newport Centre for a straightforward job on a door latch. Car was returned with airbag light on, a missing battery panel cover and a door card that was hanging off. After some debate, the Centre agreed to ‘repair’ the door card and replace the battery panel- but refused to take accountability for the airbag light. When I picked the car up from the door card repair, found it had just been glued on. A couple of months later, the glue had melted off, and the door card is hanging off again. Put in a formal complaint to Porsche and have since been engaged in a pointless back-and-forth where they are taking no responsibility at all, even accusing me of lying about the errors being caused by the Centre. From what I expected to be a simple job of improving the opening and closing of my door has turned into an absolute mess which has left me with an airbag light on (which will cost me over £1400) and a broken door card. Would not recommend Newport Centre at all, has left me with a bitter taste about Porsche as a brand. Given the volume of negative reviews, it appears that the brand’s attention to detail and care is no longer applicable.
Porsche service is worse than private Porsche specialist
If you value your time, money, and sanity, think twice before bringing your car here.
My recent experience with this Porsche South London center has been one of the most draining and frustrating customer service encounters I have ever endured.
A Complete Breakdown in Communication
It took three months and five different advisors just to get a clear answer about my vehicle. Instead of the premium, professional service you would expect from Porsche, I experienced a systemic failure in basic customer care. I was repeatedly ignored, passed between staff members who had no clue about my case, and forced to relentlessly chase them for updates. You should never have to beg a dealership to do their job.
Misleading Advice and Wasted Money
The most unacceptable part of this ordeal was the contradictory information that led me to authorize the wrong repair. Initially, a technician's video explicitly stated my car was fine. Later, I was advised to replace the wishbones. It was only after relentless pushing that I discovered the wishbones—while worn—were not the cause of the noise I brought the car in for in the first place.
Because of their poor advice and failure to provide clear information upfront, I wasted my money fixing the wishbones when I should have been prioritizing the actual suspension issue. I authorized work based on incorrect and confusing statements from their own team.
Too Little, Too Late
I will give credit to the Aftersales Manager, Kevin, who finally stepped in, brought clarity to the situation, and provided the photographic evidence I asked for. He did a good job, but it is deeply disappointing that it takes escalating a case to management after a quarter of a year just to get basic facts. If I had been given that exact same evidence three months ago, I would have made a completely different financial decision. Kevin's apologies for the "communication gaps" do not refund the money I spent based on his technicians' misdiagnoses.
I am walking away from this experience completely exhausted. I have no desire to debate with them further because the energy it takes to get a straight answer is simply not worth it. Avoid this service center if you expect transparent, timely, and competent care.
Ceramic treatment of cars.
Ceramic treatment of cars.
Bought registered new Macan GTS from PC reading. Treatment failed within 6 months, went back and lasted 3 months, filed a claim with Gteknic and went to a company who knew about ceramic treatments. They done a video and found that failed treatments was placed over failed treatments. Swirl marks you name it. Had it corrected and paid for a new treatment plus PPF OVERLAY. Car went in for service and they blasted the pod up close with jet wash causing it to bubble. 3 weeks on after admission of damage they done nothing. Note: PCR uses detailing companies to administer the ceramic coating in a non sterile environment. If you want your pants pulled down and royalie shafted pay PCR for ceramic treatments.
Porsche GB / UK - embarrassing to the brand
Porsche GB / UK - Customer ‘Relations’ named I guess to avoid the word and implicit meaning of ‘Service’. Very disappointing. Ironic that OPC staff work hard to get positive reviews that (likely) affect manufacturer standards payments, but at the ‘brand centre’ no one cares, no accountability? I’ve generally been impressed by OPC’s in UK and Belgium / NL. But PGB? If they were a franchised outfit I doubt would survive….most country offices want to set the standard….guess they’ve decided to show what ‘bad’ looks like. Come on Mr Bodhani, this isn’t good enough….
PORSCHE SOUTH LONDON SERVICES
I want to thank Bobby R, Grace and Karen at Porsche South London services. I have been using the service section there for a number of years now and the staff there alsways go the extra mile in helping me. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I would go nowhere else. A great team and the above represent the very best of Porsche.
I visited the Porsche Centre South…
I visited the Porsche Centre South London today in hope to find a used Boxster, I had one years ago, which I gave up when I had my children. Unfortunately there wasn't anything suitable, but whilst there I thought it useful to see what the current service costs would be if I were to purchase one. After speaking with the friendly receptionist she took me over to speak with Karen, who works in the service department. She was very knowledgable and accomodating, and gave me all the information I asked for, so I was informed if I were to make a purchase in the future.
During our conversation, Karen noticed my car crazy son watching the mechanics working, when I mentioned his passion of cars and mechanics she offered to show him around the workshop, wow! this experience for my son has cemented that this is the career he wants to do. How lovely she went above and beyond and has really made a difference to my son's outlook, he is now hoping to work for Porsche one day.
Dear Porsche,
Dear Porsche,
I would like to express my sincere thanks to your team at Porsche York, and in particular to Adrian and Kate, for their outstanding service.
Adrian was extremely helpful in fitting me in at short notice to replace the battery in my key and to check the car’s computer system. His assistance, along with the thoughtful gesture of topping up the screen wash, was very much appreciated.
Kate, as always, was exceptionally professional and welcoming. She has a wonderful way of making customers feel genuinely valued, and nothing ever seems too much trouble.
It is truly refreshing to receive this level of care and attention without even having to ask. The team consistently goes the extra mile, and it does not go unnoticed.
Please pass on my thanks to Adrian, Kate, and everyone at Porsche York.
Kindest regards,
Roger
York
Brand new 911 (992) in Aug 24…
I bought a brand new 911,992.2 in Aug 2024.
911s are supposed to be serviced every 2 years, however they 'forgot' to reset the car service system.
I now have to drive around for 6 months with dashboard warnings or get a service 6 months early.
The reason for 1 star? Porsche UK Customer Service.
Disastrous experience with Porsche West…
Disastrous experience with Porsche West London: my headlights were stolen before Christmas, and it still hasn't been fixed. The contractor must complete the bodywork, but they refuse to adjust their estimate in line with the insurance assessment. They will not reconsider, and Porsche, having outsourced the repair, accepts no responsibility for the delay or lack of communication. I am asking Porsche to resolve this issue promptly, ensure clear communication, and take accountability for their contractor’s actions. They do not care. This is the first and last time I'm buying a Porsche; their customer service has destroyed their reputation, and, disappointingly, they don't seem to care.
HUGE PORSCHE DISCOUNTS IN 2026 FROM EVERY DEALER
Bought a Porsche Cabriolet 992.2 last July from Listers Hull Porsche. The list price of the car was £134k and after an accident on my bike I needed to sell the car and the offer from Listers was £102k. Record depreciation over 8 months of ownership! Porsche has increased the price of their cars to such a level they now have to be discounted by over 10% in every dealership due to over supply and under demand.
DO NOT BUY A NEW PORSCHE 911 WITHOUT AT LEAST £15k OFF LIST PRICE and avoid LISTERS HULL at all costs
Shocking service Porsche Sidcup
Got a phone call about my taycan saying service was due required a loan car as part of my service so I booked the soonest available date which was 4 months away.. was then told that date would invalidate my warranty as needed to be serviced within a month of the service due date.. after explaining this was Porsche Sidcup not me that couldn’t meet the date before then they Miraculously come up with a date 3 months earlier and booked me in.After my hour and half drive in I arrived at Porsche Sidcup on the day of service to be told the loan car wasn’t available I explained I needed a loan car due to work commitments and that this was booked far in advance they asked the sales department if they could loan a car but unfortunately they don’t have any. find that very hard to believe with the amount of cars stacked up out side the place. For a premium car brand the service from Porsche Sidcup is the worst I have experience.
What is it with Porsche sales people?
I love Porsche cars but their sales people need some serious ass kicking.
I bought my first Porsche back in 1977 and have had quite a few since. Apart from Porsche Belfast the buying experience has been shocking. Service dept not much better. I could actually write a book on their failings but here’s two examples.
I bought my last one in 2012, I specified factory collection, it was almost treble the price of the quoted option. They said it was because I was coming from Scotland and wanted to use the Ijmuden/Newcastle ferry on the return journey and the option price was based on London flights to Stuttgart and using the Channel Tunnel. Fair enough.
Time for collection, tickets arrived - return tickets! Now I knew why they were so expensive! I called Porsche Glasgow saying these are return tickets, I'm not taking the car back to Stuttgart. They said sorry we will refund you the difference. 14 years later and lots of emails and phone calls, nothing has ever been returned.
About 10 years ago I sold my Porsche and said to myself I'll never have another.
About a month ago I succumbed into wanting another one. Being disabled but using a Brompton bike instead of a wheelchair for mobility, I had to find out if my bike would still fit in the front boot. I emailed Porsche in Perth. No reply. (and still no reply) So I went through at the weekend on spec. 80 mile round trip.
After some time a salesman came over, said it wouldn't fit. I said I'd come all this way can I at least have a look, he said I'm telling you it wont fit. But went away and got a key. We went outside. It fitted fine. He asked what kind of Porsche I wanted. I told him Its been some time since I last had one and a bit out of touch but I really preferred Caymans to 911's.
He walked away. No asking my name, phone number email address nothing. Just wandered away.
What is it with these guys?
Do not take financing from Porsche - if your car is stolen they prevent new car replacements and cost you £000s to protect a a side deal with one provider
Do not take financing from Porsche if you buy a new car.
When my car was stolen in the first year, Porsche's finance company stopped my insurer from providing me with the new car replacement I was entitled to under my policy.
Porsche Financial Services has done a side deal with one car replacement provider, Vizion, and if your insurer doesn't happen to use them, you will not get your new car but instead have to settle the agreement and probably lose £000s and £000s, as I have done.
Have discovered that insurers and car replacement providers only have this issue with companies owned by Volkswagen Financial Services.
So if you're buying a Porsche, look for finance elsewhere and avoid Porsche/Volkswagen Financial Services at all costs!!
AVOID SOUTH LONDON PORSCHE
AVOID SOUTH LONDON PORSCHE, and if you can avoid Porsche all together especially if you are a woman. I have had a horrendous experience with the above dealership and Porsche HQ refused to take any responsibility. I bought a crayon coloured Cayenne 72 reg which had issues from day one, condensation inside the car leaving windows foggy, condensation covering the majority of the headlights, windows refusing to go down when cold, boot getting stuck, sensors not available more often than not, radio not working, screen going blank with red messages appearing. Literally dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree. I had photo and video evidence and all I was told was that it was normal. Like I didn’t know what I was talking about. That it was user error. I ended up rejecting the car albeit they tried to drag their feet. Less than 24 hrs after I’ve seen they put the car back up for sale for more than I bought it. They could not have possibly even looked at it never mind fixed any of the issues. They are negligent and just simply don’t care.
