I am sorry that your question was not answered, to clarify the car you enquired about was not an ex-rental vehicle. Most of the cars we stock are 3+ years old, rental vehicles typically only appear on the second-hand market when they’re 12–18 months old.
We take data protection very seriously. A dealership was recently fined £3000 for breaking GDPR rules, due to a customer contacting the former keeper using information found on the V5. We now blank out personal details on V5 documents as a precaution and in some cases, when we purchase vehicles for stock, the previous keeper’s details have already been removed from the V5 document before it reaches us.

I recently bought a 2024-registered MG electric car from PCS Car Supermarket, and the experience was far from smooth. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the parcel shelf was missing, there was no charging cable, and only one key was provided. Considering the car was practically brand new, I found it disappointing that these basic items were missing.
When I raised the issue with the delivery rep, Darren, his initial response was quite dismissive – essentially telling me “it is what it is.” Not the kind of customer service you’d expect when making such a significant purchase. I had to escalate the matter to the car finance company to get any traction.
After several calls back and forth, PCS eventually agreed to knock £150 off the admin fee to help cover the missing charging cable. However, I still had to purchase a parcel shelf and spare key myself, costing me an additional £450 out of pocket. Darren later tried to justify it by saying they never advertised those items – which is a bit ridiculous, considering no one advertises every single part of a car.
All in all, the car itself is fine, but the lack of transparency and poor customer service were a letdown. Three stars feels fair – decent car, but a frustrating buying experience that could have been avoided with better communication and support. Can do better.

In the used car market, it is unfortunately quite common for vehicles to sometimes be sold without parcel shelves, spare keys, or charging cables. We always strive to price our vehicles competitively, often below Auto Trader’s retail evaluation, taking these factors into account to ensure fair value for our customers.
That said, we regret if this was not communicated clearly enough during your purchase. While we do display this information on our website, we appreciate that not everyone may review the website details if they found the car through an advertising site we use.
