Still a completely incompetent company to deal with. Despite providing them with who the occupier of a property was sometime ago (I own it) and them chasing the occupier over the past year i have now received a letter telling me I may be liable for a debt I have not incurred.
On top of this they have got the address wrong and stated it as my own business address which I occupy and do not owe them anything for.
I left pure utilities some time ago due to their ineptitude and constant harassment. Now they are chasing me for something which is not my issue.
How do they get a licence to operate when they are so incapable of dealing with basic things.
It's not difficult, find out the occupier, send them the debt letters, if they don't pay chase them.
Maybe everyone harassed by this company should just send them a letter saying you owe us money and threaten legal action as pure utilities seem to think that's an acceptable way to conduct business.

Can’t fault todays customer service but…
Debbie who I spoke to today was brilliant and resolved my issue.
However, it would have been 5* for overall satisfaction for the company had I not been wrongly chased for outstanding bill (which was paid weeks ago by DD) and it had been dealt with first time when I called last week without being called today with Debbie unaware I had already called up last week to try resolve and promised course of action never followed.
Last week was told likely data issue and the girl who can confirm is on lunch and will drop me an email to confirm, today Debbie called to chase payment unaware of any of this previous discussions.
Can’t fault Debbie’s customer service today though, just the processes and systems at this company.

Hassled us for money for months for a service we were not receiving despite informing them of such and providing photographic evidence. Threatened us with debt collectors and everything. Treated us as data on a computer rather than human beings. I hope never to have any dealings with them again

It makes an enormous difference when someone makes the customer feel like they matter and Debbie does this in bucket loads. If Debbie Harrop worked for me, I’d double her salary just to keep her.
