Rad Power Bikes UK Reviews 

I hesitated for a wee while before ordering my Rad Rhino as some of the reviews regarding customer support in the event of a problem here in the uk were not particularly reassuring. I decided to take the plunge anyway as I really liked the look of the bike on all of the you tube vids etc. My beast of a Rad Rhino-arrived within about a week of ordering ( I live in Manchester though where the uk distribution centre is) so maybe that’s why it was quick. I was a bit miffed initially at having to pay £50 shipping as I could have easily collected it myself in person though when I saw the size of the box I realised this would have been a practical impossibility as the Rhino is VERY LARGE.
The assembly was pretty easy and I think anyone who knows one end of a spanner from the other will be fine doing though due to its weight (HEAVY) two may be best of you are a smaller individual. I am 6ft 1 and 16 stone and it was effort for me to move so be your own judge. Also, I had previously seen assembly vids and knew that the torque (tightening pressures) of various bolts were quite specific so I had invested in a torque wrench off Amazon which was necessary I think if you want to do a proper job. The gears needed a bit of altering too after transit- but the Rad YouTube instructional vids are very good so I now know something of the dark arts of derailleur adjustment and my gears are sweeeet!
As to the bike itself- I just love it. It’s is a BEAST with the 4” tyres and heavy frame and in many ways feels like a motorbike in terms of how you manoeuvre it. I am lucky to have a garage so storage is no real issue for me but this is something to give serious consideration to if you live in housing with restricted access/ stairs etc. That said, I love riding it. It’s fantastic fun and increases your riding range massively. The gears are nicely spaced in terms of handling differing terrain and the pedal assist modes (1-5) are magical 1 gives you a little nudge with with 5 feeling like an endurance athlete is holding the seat behind you pushing all the way. My first three charges have given me a range of well over 40 miles. That’s with me thrashing the throttle boost and playing with the pedal assist a lot. I reckon if I was just out for a flattish bumble using an assist of 2 or 3 I would be nearer to 50 miles. So, yes. I love my Rad Rhino so far and would say that if you can handle a heavier bike and want something that performs great and looks cool ( be prepared for a bit of attention and heads turning) then go for it. I think the price point is pretty darn good value from what I could see as a comparison to other machines. My one wish would be that Rad could extend their customers support base to the uk so that in the event of any technical issues I couldn’t sort myself I could get some local help. However hopefully as they become more popular that will happen. So yea. So far so great! Go Rad!Mike in Manchester

Ordering , paying and delivery was spot on. Customer service on the other hand not good. We had a problem and i emailed . In 4 weeks we had 1 reply saying they were busy and had to wait. 6 weeks still waiting !!!!

Can't fault it to be honest.
From the research to ordering. Putting it together, and sending one item back due to me not needing it. Its been just excellent.
The bike is versatile, can be modded nicely and 3rd party equipment such as amazon pannier racks fit wonderfully. I'm excited to ride my bike again and with the 8.8 miles both ways to work it just make it that little bit more convenient, comfortable and flexible. With a good customer service and fast shipping (UPS are half assed but that's a different company) It's pretty much the way forward. The website is really intuitive and buying things off there couldn't be easier. Although you can get cheaper alternatives elsewhere, the racks are something you should stick with from the seller.

Having not cycled for thirty years +, i bought the Radrunner+ to ditch the car for short daily round trip journeys (mostly with child on back) of up to 10 miles, weather permitting. I’m using the bike most days, and actually look forward to the journey. I think the real test of both frequency of use and build quality will come after the winter had passed but first impressions are very positive. My only critique would be some grease should be supplied with the bike. Assembly was also pretty straightforward for a novice like me.

I researched every make and model. Rad bikes are cheaper but seem to put the money in the right places. I am getting the 75km range easily. Having a motor hub means the spokes are shorter and stronger. I don't have any hills but on the flat it's good, I can still work up a sweat. It's a heavy bike and you cannot ride it without power I feel. About to buy a second.

Radrunner+ arrived well before 2 10 days. Well pack, and easily assembled. I'm taking my 10yr old to new school roughly 10 miles day. Rad runner + is perfect she feels confident on back, and we turn many heads with our cool ride.

Ordered and received in Northern Ireland within 2 weeks. All good. Packaging, instructional videos online, build quality, materials used. Rad Rhino 5, impressive bike.

Generally I could not be more impressed, bought a City Plus 5, which is incredible I am not a MTB persob I commute every day and go for a chilled ride around the town when I can. Great in materials and assembly, electric works fine, price still a bit high but till now so far so good!

I had previously had a Radwagon 4 delivered and had enjoyed using it so much (still do, its a great bike for lugging stuff around) that I wanted a bike that would take me down woodland trails and across rough country. It ticks all these boxes and I am very pleased with the power, the twist acceleration (much used on my Radwagon 4!), the big big tyres and the suspension...looking for a rack for the car to take this and my wife's ebike on adventures far far away! Good competitive price, responsive and quick delivery from new UK base.

Great bike, Great Parts distribution, awful customer service sent an email 3 weeks regarding a purchase query and still no reply

I just love my RadRunner Plus. It arrived a week ago. I bought this model and my husband bought the RadRhino .He has the seat on the lowest setting and it looks really cool cruising down our 7 mile prom in Bournemouth, England. They are life changing . We are out daily on rides and love riding round , going farther than we would if we were just cycling . I have a huge wicker dog basket on order which I know can be fitted to my luggage rack . It will take either the dog or shopping or stuff for the beach . We have been out on them daily , getting loads of admiring glances . They are conversation starters for sure . We love everything about them . The power pulling away at lights snd junctions makes for a safer ride , in my opinion , than a non-powered bicycle and I find mine incredibly comfortable with lights, bell , gears and acceleration all to hand . Brilliant designs , thank you .

Order of Rad 2 delivered 2 hours before I received the email saying it was due. Very heavy box, 2 people needed to get it into the house. Unpacked and cut off all the plastic ties (disappointed at the amount of packaging) Then read first page of manual where it says bike must be put together by a qualified bike mechanic. I think this should be made clear when you buy as I didn’t notice this. Can’t comment therefore on Rad riding experience but I hope it’ll be amazing and that all the above niggles will be forgotten. 🚴
