Long-time customer
I have used Ranch for 9 years. In terms of customer support and not waiting in queues, it’s great, and the upload/download speeds are ridiculously fast. Customer support is fast and personal.
My criticisms are technical: you don’t get your AOVs/passes from Octane, quite often I have had black frames that are corrupted by one server blade, and you have to preload so much credit rather than getting the render amount debited from your credit card.
In spite of this, I’ll probably always use Ranch, because they make you feel respected and listened to and treated personally - no other render farm I can name does that.

Pour vos 2 derniers projets, malgré une anomalie d'affichage due à une coupure réseau, soyez assurée que vous n'avez été débitée que du montant réel des rendus.

the customer service from Ranch has been very helpful and they were able to fix the files for me so that the rendering was possible.
I have taken 1 star out as it is more expensive than others and 1 start because it took several days to get the benchmarking completed.
But 5 stars for the customer service!

After two days of trying a simple benchmark rendering to work, it was impossible, even through several support contacts. I give a thumbs up to the support they provide but a big thumbs down to the system and software they use. I didn't have any issues rendering the same files in five other farms. So, I can't recommend this service.

The GPU nodes render my Maya render job very fast. In 8 minutes, I get all the 100 frames with no errors. The setup and installation of the software is easy and instructions given is clear.

In my opinion the price is well justified for the service delivered and all the expenses we have.
This said, I have noticed that you submitted one project with the 30€ free credits with 11 images to render.
For information, one computer renders one image independently. So 11 computers rendered the 11 frames here.
It can go up to 14 computers for a given job x 4 GPUs per machine = 56 GPUs per project maximum, with the GPULow formula.
Which means the scene loading time has been charged for the 11 images.
However, when you have multiple frames to render (let's say 500 frames), the scene will be loaded only once on the machines and the render time, thus the final price will be lower for all the remaining 486 images (14 images have been rendered by the first 14 computers with the scene loading time included).
I do not know the exact scene loading time here but if it takes like one minute, it would represent a significant difference in the end.
Eventually, we also offer nice discounts with our prepaid refills to help you out lower the projects prices.

Also, I invite you to choose the CPULow priority to get a lower price as you selected the Medium priority for your test project.
Eventually, the MultiBand option is more expensive (but faster) than the MultiCam option.
With regard to the Noise Threshold, RANCHecker informs you if something is incorrectly set.
A quality noise limit must be set beforehand.
