Fabulous quality suit
Fabulous quality suit. Minor blip with delivery but Megan customer service was exception. Accessible, rapid response and very clear communication. So many companies get customer service wrong, this was so refreshing. As the customer facing representative for Rathbones she gets it, well done Megan I will use your services again because of you.

From start to finish, this has been a fantastic experience. I ordered 8 suits in total for my wedding, and we had communication going back over five or six months from when I originally looked at doing this. Every single email I’ve sent has been responded to quickly and all by Megan, I’m not sure how many other people work there but reading reviews on here you can see lots of other people think the same of her and her professionalism. So Im not sure who runs the company but she should get a pay rise for sure.
The quality of the suits were all very good. We had a few changes of sizes we needed to do and all that was handled very efficiently. No complaints here only praise.
And I would certainly recommend them to others

Best suits for our wedding!
We hired six suits for our wedding in Durham last week, and the experience with Rathbones has been perfect from start to finish. The range of suits on offer is excellent, the try-on process was seamless, and the suits themselves are stylish and very good quality (better than some rival suit providers!). Megan could not have been more helpful in giving advice and assisting us in changing our details over email - the suits arrived on time in great condition, and the returns process was easy! Everyone at the wedding was very complimentary of our lovely suits.

Fraud. Incomplete Order. Ruined my day.
I rent two suites.
When I received the parcel one night before my event.
There is only a pair of trousers.
No jacket??????
I spent GBP130 total with insurance, but this ridiculous company just ruined everything.
BTW. The quality of the trousers is much WORSE than HM or ZARA.

We are truly sorry for your experience and completely understand your frustration and disappointment. This is not the level of service we ever want to provide, and we are genuinely gutted that this has happened, especially the night before your important event.
After looking into your order, we discovered that a technical issue on our system caused the jacket size to be missing when the order came through to us. As soon as we became aware of the problem, we sent the jacket out immediately in a separate dispatch in an effort to make things right. Unfortunately, it didn’t arrive in time for your event, and for that, we are deeply sorry.
Please know that this was a genuine error on our part and not intentional, and certainly not fraudulent. We care deeply about our customers and take pride in helping them look their best for special occasions. It’s incredibly upsetting for us to know that we fell short, and we take full responsibility for the disruption it caused.
We of course will refund for the suit that couldn’t be worn, and your feedback on the trousers has been noted and passed to our product team.
Again, we sincerely apologise and If there’s anything further we can do to make this right, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Bad Service, Poor Resolution
Ordered a tuxedo which didnt fit, requested they send a replacement but got no response so ordered one separately off thier site so as not to miss my event deadline. New one arrived and although it was a different cut (classic, not slim fit) - the jacket size was the same and yet turned up as completely different sizing so that also didnt fit. Messaged to say I'd be returning both and now have to go buy a tuxedo instead which I did. Sent them proof that I had to buy a tuxedo as their rentals didn't fit, sent back their rentals and asked for a refund. After a month of back and forth, they agreed to give me a 50% refund and 50% score credit then refunded me under 50% anyway. Shame, poor service / principles. Won't be using my 'store credit' and would advise you use a better supplier.

We’re gutted to hear this experience didn’t meet your expectations, that’s never what we want for our customers, especially ahead of an important event.
We did try to help as quickly as possible once you reached out on the day of delivery, offering to exchange the suit and checking with our warehouse about options.
As our terms explain, once an item is dispatched it usually isn’t eligible for a full refund, but we made an exception to offer a 50% refund and 50% store credit as a gesture of goodwill. We're sorry that didn't feel fair given your experience.
That said, your feedback is important and we’ll be reviewing our fit guidance and support processes to ensure issues like this are easier to resolve in future.
We take massive pride in both our customer service and our quality of service in general, as attested by the number of positive reviews we receive.
We really hope you do use your credit, maybe against a morning suit for the races next year, or a lounge suit for an upcoming wedding. If you do, pop us a message beforehand to talk sizing so we can nail that for you.

I have nothing but praise for this company. From the start of the ordering process, navigating the website, and even correcting my mistake with the delivery date, they were outstanding in changing the day and ensuring the suit arrived on time. I was initially hesitant since I hadn’t used them before, but I would highly recommend them to anyone! Returning the suit was just as easy—packing everything back into the provided bags and box, arranging the return online, and dropping it off at the nearest DPD drop-off point was completely stress-free. A big thank you to Megan for helping with the delivery issue!

Not great.
Suit "delivered" by DPD. Ordered with their recommended time frame to allow for fit replacement. However, this was not delivered until 2 days before the event. Shirt did not fit, jacket barely fitted but did not have any option but to buy another shirt and wear the jacket large.
The box in which the Suit arrived was very flimsy and not fit for purpose considering the importance of the contents. This was further aggravated by the way DPD dumped the package the outside block on the path next to the main door leaving it open to weather damage and possible theft. When informing rathbones about this they seemed uninterested with an "oh dear" attitude. The Suit also did not come with a return label so had to request a QR code from them to return the item.
Overall poor experience. Albeit mostly DPD to fault, but you need to consider better packaging and definitely an alternative delivery partner.
Would not recommend nor use again.

Firstly, I am sorry you did not have a great experience with us. Our every intention at Rathbones Tailor is for customers to enjoy wearing their suit and have a stress free experience so to hear this was not the case is really gutting to us.
In regards to the DPD delivery, we are sorry this was delayed and that the box was left outside your door, I appreciate this caused delay with requesting size swaps and this is truly disappointing that this has let us down.
Since seeing this review, I have spoken with our warehouse manager to make sure our boxes are always handled with care by DPD as I appreciate the box arriving looking flimsy is not great first impression.
Again, we are truly sorry your experience with us was not a great one. I know you have said you would not rent with us again but we would love to redeem ourselves the next time you are in need of a suit. If you do, make sure to reach out to our customer service with plenty of time and we can have one of our stylists help with sizing and make sure this does not happen again.

Suit too small
The website was easy to use and the suit was delivered as indicated, however the suit was too small. I had measured myself as accurately as possible but was disappointed that the suit especially the trousers did not fit. The trousers were not able to be adjusted on the waste so I have had to return unused.

I ordered a tux for my sons' leaving…
I ordered a tux for my sons' leaving ball, however I ordered it slightly too early for the event leaving over 7 days for the return. I contacted Rathbones to delay the delivery but they quickly responded to say that we could have the suit for an extra day. The suit was beautiful and he looked fantastic in it. Returning the suit was super easy too!

Great experience - Royal Enclosure hire for Royal Ascot 2925
Our first hire for this year’s Royal Ascot and the service we received was amazing.
The Morning suit, waistcoat, shirt, tie/pocket square & top hat were delivered by DPD well in advance giving us plenty of time to make sure everything was there and fitted OK etc. (it was and did.)
The quality of everything exceeded our expectations.
So easy to return via DPD afterwards.
Will definitely be hiring again for Royal Ascot next year.

Suits me !
What more could you want? The suit arrived on time all ironed and ready of course I had the right measurements and then after the event I used the box it came in to drop it off at Argos for DPD to pickup using a bar code I generated from their webpage via my phone. I even got a receipt for the return and a confirmation email from Rathbones.

Ordered on Wednesday for a Saturday Event.
Was a bit reticent to order online on short notice but it seemed like a good choice vs going to Jermyn St etc.
DPD failed to make delivery on Friday (classic), but Rathbones were very responsive on WhatsApp and managed to get DPD to drop it at a collection point same day!

I hired a morning suit from Rathbones for a wedding yesterday, and the whole experience was great. Clothing is high-quality and arrived early. Rathbones did make an error in sending the wrong size waistcoat, but they were super-responsive in sending out the correct size in plenty of time. Excellent service all around, with good value for money.
