Clear and friendly telephone manner with prompt action

Relative Connections were upfront about the costs from the beginning. They were very good with communication and keeping me up to date with their findings. Unfortunately my grandad passed away when my Dad was 5 so we'll never get to meet him. Relative Connections kept preserving with different angles to help to try and get my Dad some answers. Finding someone

I contacted Relative Connections on Thursday 26th September 2024 and thought it would take ages to find my Brother and Nephew.
After writing a contact statement for if they did find him the weekend came and went. I was surprised when on the Tuesday 1st of October 2024 someone phoned me to say that they had spoken to my Brother and that he would be delighted them to pass his phone number to me.
I phoned my Brother the same day and we met up again on the Friday 4th October 2024 after eleven years of not seeing each other!
I cannot believe how quick Relative Connections got onto my case and traced my Brother and Nephew and would recommend them to anyone who is trying to find someone who they have lost contact with!

The service was great, everything was handled very professionally my person was successfully found and I am very happy we are now in touch again.

I had been trying to find my dad (who I had never met) from the age of 18 with no joy (now 52) spoke to relative connections on Monday and then Tuesday morning I had a call from Sue who said they had narrowed the search down to 2 people. I then got a call from Sue who said they had found my dad and that he had a wife called Debbie who had said Ian had a massive heart attack two years ago and had to have a leg amputated and was in a nursing home being tested for dementia and that Debbie would like to speak to me first so that I could find out about the real Ian (my dads name) before I met him. To say I was gobsmacked and overwhelmed was an understatement. I spoke to Debbie on the Monday and I met my dad on the Saturday,. When I saw my dad he said give me a cuddle, I have waited for this moment for over 52 years. I managed to get the perfect outcome thanks to Sue and her search.

From the initial contact with Relative Connections, I was told what to expect, timelines and price and communication with all members of staff was excellent, clear and proactive.

They found a certificate I had been looking for very quickly which helped me to fill in blanks in my family tree. The service they provided was second to none and I would highly recommend their expertise and professionalism.

They took on my search for a old friend with whom I'd lost contact for decades and on whom I could provide them with only basic information and who I was uncertain if still alive. To my surprise they located him in two days. The outcome turned out to be a disappointment (through no doing of theirs) but Sue in particular handled this sensitively and sensibly, and it was very helpful to take up the offer of a debrief with her. They kept me apprised at every stage by telephone. I am glad I engaged them and was impressed with them.

I was stunned at how quickly Relative Connections was able to locate my friend, and, from the beginning to the end of the process, everyone was kind and communicative. For all my life I wanted to know the name of my father. I did a DNA test with Ancestry and got no where so started a search to look for a company who had the experience I clearly lacked. I came across relative connections, from day one they talked me through every step and showed amazing support and care. My husband was apprehensive that they could find out the answers I longed for, as he didn't want me to be disappointed and upset. However, 10 months later we gained the answers I was looking for, my family were so chuffed and amazed. John was there to guide, support and advise every step of the way. When at times I was feellng anxious John arranged for me to speak to Sue and She was also just amazing. I started this Journey wanting to know answers before I was 50. I have just celebrated my 50th birthday knowing who my father is and so much more I could have ever of dreamed of knowing. I can't thank John and relative connections enough.
