So I get to have my first week for $10 right and I choose to pay bi-weekly which would be $60 even every two weeks it's funny how the first week okay $10 but the whole week that I pay $10 for it's going to take them to deliver it to me I shouldn't have to pay a damn dime unless it's in my home and I'm using it that's not a deal and also I'm starting bi-weekly payments a week after the first $10 week I get no I should pay next week half of what bi-weekly should be and then after that start my bi-weekly but I shouldn't have to pay anything until it's in my home and I'm using it I shouldn't have to pay for the time it takes to deliver it to me that's not a deal

We’ve been a customer for about 20 years. Up until recently they have had all our business when we needed something new for our house. Would’ve never dreamt of going to another rent to own store

A few years back we got a living room bundle, sectional, end tables, tv and fireplace tv stand. Our sectional started to unravel and I called to see if someone could come out to repair it, they apologized and said they would have their repair guy call me, once he finally did it was one excuse after another as to why he couldn’t get to me. I was aggravated and let it go and kept an eye on where it was unraveling at. Several months go by and now I have a huge hole in this sectional that I find out was recalled. I call again. The repair guy canceled on me the day he was suppose to show up, requested pictures which I sent and he said he’d order a whole new cover for it. Great! He tells me it will take 7-10 days to come in. Finally after about 4 weeks of waiting I just give up and tell my rentacenter to come pick everything up. I hated to do it because I had round about 700 bucks or so left on it, but at that point I am way too aggravated to even wait any more. I got about half of a forced apology. Didn’t even try to replace the furniture for us. At one point I withheld payment on the furniture and told them I was doing so until it was fixed, felt bad and ended up paying the 2 weeks I was holding, because their repair guy is incompetent. In the process our washer combo that we had just paid off the week prior went out and it was cheaper to get a new set vs fixing what we had and of course because it had been paid off they offered no assistance whatsoever
Never again will I use them for anything, I’d rather do without

However AARONS has stepped up to help and have had a wonderful experience with them

The thing that made my experience great is they are friendly but one girl. Some will get on in the store and help each other. Like I was in there the other day and Teresa Spicer was helping out

My landlord threw me in jail n whe I got out he changed all the locks the address is 3100 Versailles ave mckeesport pa 15132 his number is 901_800_0123 his names Fred I'll pay for the sofa but he won't give back the fridge an dryer

Hello, I went to the store located at 6831 Taft St. Hollywood. Florida 33024. (954)983-3900, to try to rent some furniture for my new house. A lady named Leonida was very rude and disrespectful towards me, other customers and an employee that was present at the time. This lady treated her co-worker like garbage in front of a group of customers that were in the store, including me. I tried to approach her, because I applied for online credit, and she told me in a very rude way to wait because she was busy, while she was cursing to her co-worker in front of all the customers. I kept waiting and she sat on one of the chairs and started eating. Finally, I left, and I decided to go to a different store (not Renta center) just because this lady horrible customer service. Hopefully in the future Headquarters will hire a better person in this location.

I got a washer and dryer set in Knoxville TN and I agreed to make monthly payments well they continue trying to charge my card weekly after numerous texts and calls telling them I agreed in writing for monthly payments I made a payment of over $300 3 weeks ago and now they are saying they will pursue legal action and that I’m stealing the items, because I’m supposedly past due when I am supposed to be monthly and I made a full payment less than a month ago how am I past due? I don’t believe you can just have people arrested for falling behind on payments and I don’t believe it’s legal to even threaten such. I’ve never been in legal trouble and this company threatens all that I’ve worked for over a payment that should not be counted as past due for a washer and dryer. If they want it that bad come and take it. I would love to have someone above this store manager Kathy contact me please!

I would like someone to contact me about the store manager Jeff of hanover pa location who contacted my employer asking an employee about verifying my job and was very unprofessional and rude to that employee.

Highly-priced items are 25% more than actual prices around and then double or even triple for one item. 90 days same as cash is a lie hidden fee. Delivery always fails, they always seem to damage items upon delivery
The 1800 number is no help nor speaking to the DM or RM. I have lost $3,500 in false promises discounts the manager for got to add to my agreements. I spent over $600 to have my lawyer draft a letter this was not taken serious.

Rent a center hit my work truck. Instead of your working with your insurance I’m the one battling your insurance company. Now they have stalled out ignoring my emails and phone calls to where I’ve been a month out of work. So far I’ve lost over $7000 worth of business and now your insurance company sends me a email stating that I should release you from all damages outside of the truck.

I tried to order from this company several times. Orders were canceld by company for not having them in stock even though I was fine with waiting for delivery. The last time I attempted an order I accidentally an contract for an item i did not want, the emailed me the contract and I was not notifying they were trying to give me something else. I made a down payment that I have never received refund for after MONTHS. I have contacted numerous time with no response. Glad I didnt get stuck in a contract with them after all.

UPDATE: STILL HAVENT RECEIVED MY MONEY. And RAC wants ME to get ahold of THEM? After I already said Ive attempted SEVERAL times? Ive called AGAIN, emailed AGAIN, not one single response. MAIL ME MY DAMK REFUND CHECK ALREADY.

I got an mac os from them with a cordless mouse they didn't furnish the charging cord for the mouse. The new store manager whined for having to look for a cord and none can be found! I am deducting the cost of the charging cord!

I was curious how much for a washer and dryer? You guys sell the set for $2500 it was something like 108 pymts of $24 (rough figures) ..That same Amana set is under $1000 at lowes..I understood this as you screwing ppl with little to no credit,That says a lot about your company

Rent a center, This company attitude is so bad, they don't know how to talk to their customers, I was paying on time every month, still got a bad attitude from them, So I gave up, come and get yo chit, And I was still bless the same day.

You are supposed to deliver a couch on Friday but you guys kind of ran into some trouble and I said that's okay you can deliver it Monday you still have not delivered it and it is after 6:00 p.m. Monday July 3rd this is getting ridiculous I think you ought to give me a 2 week free rental on my couch for my inconvenience

FREE BED BUGS WITH EVERY PURCHASE. Hello my name is William and I worked for Rent-A-Center in May and June of 2023. Anyone who has purchased from this location is risking adopting an infestation of BED BUGS! The BEDBUGS and COCKROACHES have taken over the backrooms of this store and have been seen inside the furniture by multiple employees. THIS PROBLEM IS KNOWN! Yet they are still here casually selling their at-risk merchandise to unsuspecting customers. I recently refused to continue working at Rent-A-Center until they exterminated their infestations. I told the manager this on June 18, 2023. These BED BUGS have been in the store for MONTHS! These BED BUGS have also INFESTED ANOTHER EMPLOYEES HOUSE and THEY'RE STILL THEIR AFTER WEEKS! Honestly the level of disrespect for the customers, merchandise, and employees here is unmatched. NONE OF THIS WAS TOLD TO ANY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS! Now it is June 28, 2023 and have NO WORD back from the manager on site. Complete and total ghosting after she asked if I would come back to work if the bugs were gone. All my inquiries about the BED BUGS and coming back have been met with complete silence. The SAME WAY SHE'LL TREAT ANY DEAL WITH YOU! Do not buy here. Do not come here. If you bought here and you have bugs call Rent-A-Center and have them send a bug exterminator to your location. For all the good it has done for my fellow employee... Return your items before you catch them. We can all imagine what can happen after months of BED BUGS colonizing a local rental store.

Rent a center took down my review about me suing them. I am actively suing rent a center for allowing someone to illegally use my identity and open several accounts with them. I have asked for contracts to see for months. Never got nothing back. Never got back to any manager. Corporate was a joke. They said they didn’t believe me. What is there to believe I have NEVER in my life stepped foot into a rent a center. So either it was a person they knew with my identity and or it was someone In the store. I was told I owed money for a piece of crap ass lap top then was told it was actually 3 last tops and a king mattress! . How is that even Possible. I’m poor but I’ll never take out any merchandise from these companies ever. I have begged and pleaded with rent a center to get this taken care of. Instead they threatened me and harassed me. Andre one of the store managers at a location in Austin Texas threatened me and was trying to get me to come in to the store. The contract they sent me was dated for 12/2022 they started harassing me about a lap top back since November 2022. Then I was told i have 4 other contracts. Because I supposedly returned them and took out more contracts. Idk that’s what the stupid dummy at corporate said. So I will say rent a center messed with the right one. I am quite a devil and a monster when my life is being taken advantage of. Rent a center will have to pay me when I’m done and they will all have to find a new job.

Ohhhh best believe my attorneys have sent you a demand letter 05/09/2023.

I recommend more people sue eventually they can get a class action law suit against them. Seeing as there is many reviews as similar as mine. Smh.

The only person rent a center that needs to provide more information is you guys! How the hell did you let some one open an account with my name and stole information. You sent me a fake agreement with the wrong date. You been harassing me since 11/2023 how and why was the contract you finally sent after months of begging to see what I “owed” you went months with not showing me a damn documentation or agreement. Then come to find out it’s not one account but 4. Lmfaoooooo. You guys are going Down. I never ever in my entire life have stepped foot inside a rent a center. Let alone that sketchy part of town. I see why your employees acted unprofessional the way that they All did on the phone. It’s in the hood and y’all just hire any one. I see a Dre has been a manager there for years he’s the dumb Fxck that harassed me every time I called to get clarity on what was going on. Y’all demanded money and when I wanted to see the contracts that’s when y’all started acting shady and funny. I wouldn’t put past it being an inside job. It seems like this must not have been there first time. 3 store managers 3 laptops and a mattress one for each of y’all and the mattress was took or divided by. Must be the mattress you use to sleep with the one female coworker that swears She was the one that sold Me the one of the 3 laptops. Bet you if it was tracked and found you’d find the video of them fornicating. I digress. You guys really really messed with the right one. I am the biggest Karen and I have all the time in the world. You guys will not win this.

I have been dealing with RAC since 2016. We recently moved to Eminence Ky and switched our account to the store in Shelbyville KY. They have been extremely nice and helpful. When I was looking for a certain item, they went out of their way to accommodate me. I love this company and will continue to do business with them. Thank you for all you have done for me and mine.

I love rent a center because they customer service is great n they are very polite n have great personalities n is very clean as well as great prices and deals for they customers I will rent to own from them any day I'm loving my furniture and looking to purchase more from them.

Wife wanted a livingroom set which retails for 2300 at the most places I looked. When we bought it, it was unassembled still in the boxes. Fast forward 80 some weeks I was late, came knocked on my door threaten to call the cops for Theft, after I told them I'm keeping the set at the time I had paid over 5000 for. I told them they were trespassing to leave which the refused. Will never buy from them again. I never seen my agreement, manager doesn't know who filled it out. Avoid Rentacenter at all costs. I am currently filing a law suit. Which is cheaper than my livingroom set.
