THIS IS A SCAM

THIS IS A SCAM. Please stay away from this website. I wanted to find an apartment. In the fast life we have, I did not mind them taking 2$ for the service. However, this is a trick to get you to provide your card information and also agree to terms (which anyone rarely reads) for them to take 55$ in a week as a monthly subscription. If they were genuine they would warn you via email a day or 2 before the charge. Please stay away from them for peace of mind.

On the same day I was charged 55$ I immediately cancelled the subscription and emailed Rentola to return my money. They seem to have an automated reply that says the 55$ is in their terms and conditions. I then wrote this review on Trustpilot to warn others. Only then did Rentola email me basically trying to take down my comment which I refused. After a series of emails the lady offered to return half the money which I also refused and instead contacted my credit card company about this fraud. Thankfully, the credit card campany has accepted my claim and I will get a full refund from Rentola. This shows that I was right and Rentola was wrong. What if Rentola's terms had said the subscription fee is 1000$ or 10,000, or 1,000,000$? Does that mean that by clicking 'I accept' I would be indebted to them that much? Just clicking I accept but not consuming any of your services should be enough grounds to fully refund my money especially if I cancel the same day. Rentola you are wrong and a fraud causing so much pain for your greed.

We’re sorry you aren’t satisfied with our service.
When creating a subscription with us, it costs a lower amount in the intro period - afterwards you are charged standard price for each subscription period until you choose to cancel the subscription. This is brought to your attention when you register and it is also stated in our terms and conditions which you have to accept in order to create a subscription. When the subscription is created you also receive a confirmation email with the terms and condition clearly stated.
If you do not wish to continue the premium membership, you can cancel anytime via your account settings or by contacting customer service.

We have been in contact with you via email and offered you a solution which you did not accept.

I think your customer service is great

I think your customer service is great. I issued a complaint that I had been wrongly charged and detailed what happened to Ron who eventually helped me get a partial refund while explaining to me the terms on which the charge was made. He was kind, professional, and patient, and thanks to him I received the partial refund yesterday.

I didn't read the terms and conditions of my subscription to rentola.ca and they started charging my account. I contacted rentola for help and Rohn was very attentive and kind to me and helped me solve the problem. Thank you Rohn for your help, you helped me a lot. P.S. I don’t find any benefit with rentola

I don’t find any benefit with rentola. I canceled my account and got the confirmation from them but that are keep trying to charge $55 on my credit card.

Follow up from my previous review.

don’t use this. 90% of the properties are fake and they hid how much you will ACTUALLY pay for this pretty well. seriously just use kijiji this is a waste of money. edit. judging by the other review posted after mine i will be calling my credit card company in the morning to inform them of this unauthorized $55 charge they are trying to make. DONT DO THIS THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR NO GOOD REASON.

this business is absolutely desperate for me to change this review. news flash i won’t. they shouldn’t need their customers to check if their adds are scams, they should be doing this before they even allow them to be posted. stop contacting me this is just making me more mad about the absolutely poor service this website provides.

The step/phase-structured company/website

I came across this company while being in desperate search of an urgent rental place for me and my husband. The website seemed to be very helpful with our this need. As per this website, in order to be able to contact the landlords, one had to subscribe and make an instant payment of CAD$2.00. It seemed to be a small for such a well-equipped company with a large clientele. But it turned out, that this initial subscription won't give me access to landlords:(. Now, I was supposed to upgrade my status to VIP for another payment. That was when I got mad and contacted this website, having decided that it was a fishy and untrustworthy one. I was pleasantly surprised by getting the prompt reply and professional customer support from this company/website, along with the refund as was requested.

Search for a place to rent on one level. A mobile home is a great option

U at least answered and I’m looking for my daughter who lives and works in Red deer and needs a pet friendly for her her pet cats and an employed adult son

Beautiful Pics & Detailed Descriptions

Beautiful pics on your site with very detailed descriptions of each unit. I'm a Senior & haven't figured out how to check for new offerings as they all seem to look the same when they come through. I'm also trying to figure out how to receive them once per week & not so many daily. But I love your buildings & units you have. I'm hoping to apartment show this summer...thx

My property was fraudulently posted.

I am an investor and real estate broker. My property was posted on Rentola fraudulently and I contacted the website about it by finding the posting and reporting it as fraudulent. They did not respond, so I paid the $2 required fee to contact the fraudster directly to remove my property. Then Rentola demanded I pay a $55 membership fee after they repeatedly did not respond to my emails and complaints. Rentola went as far as to send me daily 2am collection emails stating they would send their claim to Collections!! The gal of this company is inspiring! I would not be surprised if half of the properties listed are fake.
