This platform appears to operate using misleading and non-transparent subscription practices that raise serious consumer protection concerns. At sign-up, users are prompted to pay €1 for a “trial membership,” while the material terms of the subscription, including automatic renewal and cancellation conditions, are not clearly and sufficiently disclosed at the point of purchase.

The cancellation process is not clearly explained and appears to be structured in a way that makes immediate cancellation unavailable. Users are required to wait up to 24 hours for cancellation processing, which creates unnecessary procedural barriers and lacks transparency.

After approximately one week, a €39 charge is applied without any clear or prominent notification of the end of the trial period or the commencement of a paid subscription. The presentation of pricing and renewal terms appears insufficiently transparent at the point of transaction.

Phone support appears to be non-operational, as calls are not answered and the contact number appears inactive or disconnected.

From a consumer protection perspective, this may constitute a misleading commercial practice that intentionally obscures key subscription terms, thereby potentially misleading consumers regarding the nature and conditions of the subscription agreement.

In my case, I was charged again after one week. I will be contacting my bank to dispute this charge and initiate a chargeback procedure.

I will also be submitting a formal complaint to the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority for review of the company’s subscription and billing practices.

I canceled my subscription yet I've been charged 39 euros after several weeks! I can't even log into my account on the website because it keeps freezing. My email was met with an automated email completely ignoring my request for a refund. I will be reporting the charge as fraudulent and I'm still waiting for my refund.

This website is a straight up scam business. Months after cancelling a subscription i wake up to 40 euros taken from my account. I already started a lawsuit but people beware.

They are a scam

They are a scam, charged an exorbitant amount in subscription fees when it was never disclosed. Phone number on their website is fake and emails to them only come back with generic responses.

The worst experience

The worst experience. This company’s policy isn’t to provide transparent, reliable service, but to extract as much money as possible during the trial period by exploiting customer inattention. Customer support responds with scripted messages and disregards consumer protection laws, shifting all blame onto the customer. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my bank to get my money back. I’m giving this a 1 because it’s a dishonest company that shows no concern for its reputation and treats its customers with complete disregard.

Like many others here I unknowingly signed up for a subscription. I was charged €39.99 twice without my knowledge.

After contacting my bank they informed me that since the charges are buried in the fine print they are unable to get my money back.

If your service is worth the money you would not need to hide your charges and trick people into thinking it’s only a 1 euro fee.

In my opinion, Rentola, operate completely unethically and have dirty business practices, and it’s clear from other reviews here I’m not the only one who feels that way.

I’ve tried to reach out to customer service by email and all I received was an automated response with links to most asked questions.

Definitely avoid!!!

A Masterclass in Hiding a Scam


A truly stunning lack of business acumen is on display here. The website and smartphone app have gone to Herculean efforts to make the subscription options completely invisible, and the important details are so well-hidden deep in the T&Cs that they might as well be written in invisible ink. The "seven-day deal" confirmation is a similar work of art, somehow managing to not mention the subscription details at all.

This is a scam, plain and simple, even if it's technically legal. £35 every 28 days is a joke, and it's clear they spend more time fine-tuning their website to be as deceptive as possible than they do on providing any actual service. If this were a good service, they'd be upfront about it being a subscription, not a £1 trial designed to harvest your payment details.

If you're still determined to try it, here’s my advice: sign up and immediately cancel. You'll get the begging offer to stay for another 14 days for free; take that, and then cancel again. But whatever you do, screenshot everything and use a pay-shield service like PayPal so you can get your money back when they inevitably try to take the money anyway.

It's also worth noting that the rental offers are just copy-and-pasted from other agents, not private landlords. A simple crawl algorithm could tell you if the properties are still available, but I guess that would be too much effort when there's a new, more deceptive website layout to design.

Avoid this service at all costs.

They told me to pay £1 for just one…

They told me to pay £1 for just one time to talk to landlord and when I clicked it’s not a landlord it’s some third party rental website and the house listed is 6 months old AD I ignored then today after 5 days the deducted £35 in name of Subscription which i never told.
