This organic farm estate promotes sustainability and has now become a charitable trust. I will never visit again after finding out they allow fox hunting on their land to torture and kill foxes for pleasure. How can a charity be breaking the law? They are only in it for the profits and certainly not for nature and wildlife.

Great place to stop along the A5, nice set up and clean amenities. Cafe and farm shop, a walking path around the estate to stretch your legs, and some electric car charging points.

I have ordered some meat since September, but part of it never arrives and without giving any reason.
After trying to contact them by email and phone over the last few weeks without success, I decided that more people should know this.
It's very sad that they mistreat consumers and don't really bother with any consumer service. Given such ignorance and irresponsibility, how can I ever trust that they are doing real organic and truly free ranging agriculture? How can anyone trust them not overdose antibiotics or use high quality feed, or care for the environment if they have no consumer service, not care if the consumers receives products or not.

A large rib of beef arrived via APC couriers. Oh dear! It was delivered to my next door neighbor even though I was waiting in, all the ice packs were defrosted and the meat was up to 17 Centigrade. However, customer service was excellent when I rang to discuss and within a few minutes had arranged for another joint to be sent arriving next day between 9-10 in the morning. Father's Day is saved! Of course, I haven't tasted the beef yet, but it is obviously high quality - well-marbled and dry aged, and I have no doubt it will be delicious!

Very rude and short staff on the burger van not what you need after a long drive

I have often used the farm shop for meat deliveries.

On this occasion I ordered some lamb. When the meat box arrived, all the icepacks were 100% defrosted and the meat was merely wrapped in brown paper. As it was lamb and the courier APC delivered next day, the meat was ok, but I would not have liked to get something like chicken in this condition.

In the past, the package has been received well insulated and their own T&Cs state that they deliver using insulated packaging. Their meat is not cheap but they neverless are trying to penny pinch and save themselves money on packaging.

I raised a complaint via a message on their website and they have not bothered to reply.

Although I love their meats, I don't think I am going to be treated this way again.
