At first i was being sceptical about the trailrush as if it will meet my expectation, but it did! Alot of power climbing up through hills with it’s powerful motor. Components are good enough to perfor... Toon meer

Not R1 Ups Best
I have had the bike up and running for about 3 weeks. The battery power is suboptimal. It's a fun ride, but the battery power is terrible. I've adjusted the power settings and work harder on my own. I cycle the same route I road with my old 700 Series bike. The 700, would use 80% on a day I used It's power more than my own. The Vorsa eats 60% battery power and I have to economize and pedal harder to keep it in that range. I don't think I'll keep this bike for long. Not comfortable taking longer rides. Really wish I had gone with Aventon, Euphree or Velotric.
Overall the bike is nice
Overall the bike is nice and great for the price point! it works! smooth and handles the uphills! my only 2 complaints are 1. the chain pops off and gets wedged between chain ring and motor cover...its hard to get out.... they need to fix that issue ...2. the advertised power...says 90nm torque...its more like 70nm-75nm.... I have a mtn bike with a bosch cx at 95nm and it actually rides at 95nm.... On Prodigy its underwhelming power assist...

There is no warranty or recourse for them sending me two duds for e-bikes.
Chipped and scratched in a well packed shipping box, yes. Both bikes with derailleurs out of whack requiring a visit to a real bike shop to be repaired for $100, yes. One of the bikes had a bad star nut, requiring repair before it could even be put together, yes.
Read the fine print before you pull the trigger on buying from this company.
And do not pay attention to all the dumb youtube videos on them. If i had to do it over again I would have bought locally. Ride1up has no business selling direct to the customer when they DO NOT back what they sell!

Rear derailleur was bent and tire rim was chipped on shipment and had to pay 200 to fix. But rides well after all the fixes.
Great bike having a lot of fun
Great bike having a lot of fun. Only thing I would change is this battery it’s not great. I will be buying another battery soon to run dual batteries.
My bike works great
My bike works great. I wish I had ordered the larger size frame though. A sales person talked me into the medium frame, saying that with the comfort seat post I ordered that a large frame would probably not work out for me. Also, as a note, the mirrors that came with my upgrade kit are crap and don't work. I bought a pair of Briskmore bar-end mirrors on Amazon that work great.
Still waiting on a replacement tire…
Still waiting on a replacement tire (punctured during shipping) and the bolt locks for the rear basket (never sent) after my vorsa was delivered may 14th. It's June 10th and I haven't even been able to take it outside yet. Customer support moves at a glacial pace.
So far this bike has been doing a solid…
So far this bike has been doing a solid job. It’s not as powerful as my wife’s ebike but it feels like I’m riding a bike. Getting 30 miles per charge but also towing a dog trailer.
I am worried about the ip rating.
Ride1up lists this as big enough for a 74” rider but it isn’t. At least not as configured. The 350mm seat tube is probably only good enough for someone like 5’9”.
The seat is a weird combo of kind of bike seat shaped but too big and soft to pedal efficiently and not futon sized like some. I don’t like it. It puts my weight on my glutes not my sit bones.
I gave this Portola a 3 Star rating and…
I gave this Portola a 3 Star rating and that is because of two things that bother me insanely.
First is the ridiculous horn that comes with the bike. It is cheap and honestly something that should be on a kids starter bike.
Second, is the No security for this high priced e-bike. The power button just shuts the bike off. If a thief was trying to steal the bike a key isn’t needed to turn on the bike to unlock it because the fact is the e-bike does not have have preventive issues or protection. Seriously? What a waste.
Now, the good stuff. Compared to other e-bikes this Portola is solid. I love the badge that gives this Portola an exotic expensive feel minus the security detail. The paint job just screams care, detail, love. Riding the Portola is amazing. A hill climb at a 30 degree slope is nothing to the Portola. Carrying groceries in the Portola is a breeze not affecting power, stability, comfort, or ride feel. It’s just amazing.
For those who want a good e-bike I definitely would recommend the Portola. For those that want an e-bike with great security assurance and a good horn that doesn’t sound so childish then a Portola isn’t a good idea.
Unpacking this Portola, it’s light feel, its easy assembly, the maneuverability, the representation just gives its owner to be proud of ownership. I have owned three other e-bikes and this one just represents classy and showmanship.
The bike is really cool looking
The bike is really cool looking. The assembly for me was a breeze. The brakes were true, the shifting is smooth, and the controls are super easy.
The ride and power is perfect. I rode on Eco mode and did 30 miles. The resd out shows 75% battery temaining. Wow. With the battery out I can move the bike around easily.
So far I am very satisfied.
We love our new Vorsa's
We love our new Vorsa's, the setup was easeful with the instructions and the video, and we are learning all the driving modes, and having fun trying all the features.
Pleasant Surpise
Shipping was ultra-quick. Packing was secure, Assembly was easy using Ride1Up’s video instructions. Front brake disc is not centered between brake pads and rubs slightly. There’s a bit of creaking or clicking in pedals when climbing hills.
I really like how light weight the bike is. In a few weeks of riding, have yet to use pedal assist. Only the boost throttle, which surprisingly pulls my 210 lbs easily.
I’ve looked, researched, and thought of an e-bike purchase for years. So glad that I waited and went along with the Roadster. Superior build for the $$’s!!
I've finally found the perfect Ebike
I've finally found the perfect Ebike. I'm 67 years old and own or have owned many ebikes. However enjoyable they were to ride, I didn't feel as though I was getting enough of a workout benefit with them. It was TOO easy. After a lot of research, I finally sprung for the CF Racer. Let me tell you I couldn't be happier. It rides and performs flawlessly. Also, I have no, ZERO range anxiety. I purchased the range extender and haven't even installed it yet, in fact, I haven't even had to charge the main battery yet. I've ridden 67 miles and still have 85% battery life left. The CF Racer is so smooth and fast that I barely need help from the motor. I just did a 25.5 mile ride and used assist 1 time to help my old butt up a steep and long hill. Do your homework. You can't find a bike this good, with it's impressive list of features for under $6000. Completely happy with my purchase and highly recommend.
I like the quality of the bike
I like the quality of the bike, feels secure as you ride, plenty of power for the type of riding I do with plenty of rolling roads with hills, I like that you can go into setting and set control unit to the type of settings you prefer, So far really enjoy it, I'm 71 years old and happy with everything
A good experience and performance overall.
Well. I had difficulty connecting the controller cable to the battery cable . I tried with fingers and failed . Logged a ticket and then called customer support. The technician explained that it’s a common issue but that most people were able to connect after trying a second or third time by pushing much harder. I achieved a connection by using a set of needle nose pliers to grab both ends and much harder . I also loosened the container screws to allow more slack . Everything else was a no brainer for assembly . I have used the bike on mostly pavers surfaces albeit rough potholes and the 40cc tires have performed well.
The only issue now after two weeks of use is that the derailleur will require adjusting as there is now a bit of an alignment issue with the last 3 larger cassette rings and the the smallest one as my chain has dropped off twice now while on rides. I have tried many settings for the rider assist and all have performed well. Can get at least 40 miles of battery on settings 1-3. Settings 4-5 do suck the battery a lot som glad I ordered the additional battery for my longer rides of 50-70 miles. But overall I’m pleased with the sleek design and the performance. Most people I meet on group rides can’t tell it’s an e-bike.
City Biking is an experience.
First of all, I put this bike together on my own. That creates a connection. Every day, I become more confident and proficient at navigating the city streets. What Ride1Up got right is the overall design. It is sleek. Most people are surprised it is electric. The brakes got me out of a collision, and I just kept on rolling.
The customer support was great
The customer support was great. The product arrived damaged and the company response was great
This is my second bike from Ride1up in…
This is my second bike from Ride1up in less than a year. I know that sounds bad as an opening sentence but it’s quite the opposite. I bought the roadster V3 last year as my first E bike and could not have been happier. I love that bike and everything about it. When the Portolas went on sale recently, I realized that I liked the idea of having a second bike geared towards strictly commuting, and the occasional fun ride on a dirt trail. I will say that the geometry of the bike was not something I was used to and all the reviews I saw said that it might feel awkward for taller riders. I’m 6 feet tall and I do feel quite comfortable on it. It’s a zippy little ride, great looking, and light enough, that I can maneuver it wherever I want when it’s folded up. The only thing will say is the steering has take a little getting used to since I’m coming from years of riding tradition styled bikes. Also love the the fact that all the bikes come with a good set of tools for setting up the bike, a nice beanie and also, all the videos on YouTube are great.
steer clear of this company!
I wanted to love my Ride1Up bike, but the ownership experience has been incredibly disappointing. The biggest issue is the warranty process, which feels intentionally evasive and designed to avoid actually helping customers. When problems came up, getting a straight answer was nearly impossible. Support repeatedly delayed responses, shifted blame, and made the process far more difficult than it needed to be.
Customer service was also surprisingly hostile. Instead of feeling like they wanted to solve the issue, every interaction felt defensive and dismissive. The owner of the company ignored me when I asked could he help get eyes on my issue (he sarcastically asked did I expect him to deal with my issue himself when he finally did acknowledge me), but then tried to assault my character when I gave someone pondering a purchase my unfiltered review.
Asking basic warranty questions turned into arguments, and I was often made to feel like I was the problem for expecting support on a product that was still under warranty.
What’s especially frustrating is that the warranty is essentially “parts only,” which isn’t made clear enough upfront. Even when Ride1Up agrees something is covered, the customer is often left paying labor costs, troubleshooting themselves (sometimes with needing to purchase a specialty tool to do the job), or finding a shop willing to do the repairs. For an e-bike — where repairs can be specialized and expensive — that’s a major downside.
The bike itself may look like a good value initially, but the poor support experience completely changes the equation. I would strongly caution anyone considering Ride1Up to look carefully at the warranty limitations and think about how much post-sale support matters before buying.
The amount of issues I've had with the bicycle in less than a year would entitle me to lemon law protections if this was an automobile.
Bike been a the shop for 2 weeks straight and is still there. Got it less than a month ago.
My bike has been to the bikeshop for 2 weeks straight because the front brake can't stop squeeking and the wheel, in motion, is doing a weird noise when turning right and left a 25 kmh +. Workers don't know what to do.
