The Prodigy V2 is the perfect bike for those who love to ride.

The Prodigy V2 is everything that I could have hoped for. I live in a very hilly area and the power and performance of the Brose motor is exceptional. The setup and styling of the bike has the perfect blend of aggressive performance when I am in the mood for it but also comfortable enough for long pleasure cruising.

V3 Roadster matches most of the hype.

The 4 E assist modes work well and the throttle is effective when needed. The Continental tires provided a nice level of confidence. The front shock works better than I expected. I got 70 miles on the first discharge with mix of riding modes. My first charge took about 5 hours from a 5 percent discharge level.

Hunting for Lightweight

I first tried the Aventon Solterra 3. Though a bit underpowered it was amazing. Deal breaker was no low step version. Happily, the Roadster has a more power and a low step design I can live with (at 70). Very smooth power, starts from a stop so easy the throttle doesn't really matter to me (yet). Climbs hills with assist easier than I expected. Delivery was fast and customer service prompt. Very happy owner.

I've had issues from the beginning

I've had issues from the beginning. Every issue involves dealing with the the poor designs and cheap components. Things look sleek out of the package, but hidden damages, defects, and poor design will be the beginning of your headache. Not too mention their customer service is useless, and you're lucky to get a response in 48 hours.

Ride1Up responded publicly claiming this is "likely" just a failed cadence sensor and that the bike isn't poorly designed. That ignores the actual history of this bike. In three years I've already had two controller failures, one motor replacement, brake failures, and now a pedal assist failure, all before 450 miles. The condition of the bike is Used - Like new.

Support has repeatedly thrown me for a loop. The founder immediately jumped in to respond to my review and support email thread, then gives the conversation back to the original support member after not hearing anything for another 24 hours.

I have familiarized myself with this bike after multiple major component failures, and every mechanic resource has agreed with me on the design aspect. I'm not willing to continue paying for replacement parts on a bike with this track record. Judge for yourself, but my experience has been that the advertised value disappears shortly after receiving the bike. For me, it started after 25 miles on the bike.

Worst Bike Rack Ever

Received a bike rack for my awesome Revv1 FS. It was missing parts. They sent me a new one (wasn’t great customer service). The new part didn’t integrate quite right. I stripped the hardware trying to get it on. Now I have a partially assembled, dangly, unusable bike rack attached to my bike. Wish I would have never purchased. Will cost me more to fix than the rack cost itself.

I am absolutely in love with my Ride1Up…

I am absolutely in love with my Ride1Up Portola. In 10 days I have logged 300 miles on paved and unpaved trails -- hours of outdoors fun and adventure. I am impressed with the sturdiness, quality, performance, battery range (40+ miles easily with the bigger battery) and versatility of this bike. I couldn't be happier, it has exceeded all my expectations. All I think about all day is my next ride!

I’ve been riding the Ride1Up TrailRush…

I’ve been riding the Ride1Up TrailRush for a while now, and it’s an easy 5-star bike. The build quality is excellent, it’s comfortable, and it’s an absolute blast to ride. The Boost mode is where this bike really shines—it makes you feel almost superhuman climbing hills and flying through trails. It’s the feature that keeps me coming back for another ride.

My only real complaint is the battery life when you’re riding it the way it’s begging to be ridden. If you keep it in Boost mode and ride aggressively, I’m only getting about 20 miles before the battery is tapped out. That’s not necessarily a flaw so much as the price you pay for using maximum power all the time, but it’s something buyers should know.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the TrailRush. If Ride1Up ever offers a higher-capacity battery option, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Until then, I’ll gladly keep charging it because the smile it puts on my face is worth it.

The Vorsa is my second Ride1Up e-bike

The Vorsa is my second Ride1Up e-bike. Put 2600 miles on the first e-bike before selling it. Now this one is so much better. The instant I put pressure on the pedals, the assist is there. The ride is smooth and solid. Great on trails or off-road.

Absolutely Perfect

I was looking for an electric bike that felt like a road bike. I do a lot of gravel and road rides. I usually ride with a group of guys that can ride much faster than me. I am now able to keep up with them and get a great workout in. I have never been happier with a bike! When I go on a 25 mile ride I only use about 4% of my battery because I am able to ride it without using the electric due to having so many gears and how light the bike actually is.

Great bike, except for display

This is a review of the Vorsa (standard, step-thru) from the perspective of also having a Roadster v3 (step-thru) for the better part of the last 2 years, and before that 2 Giant eBikes since 2004, over 20 years ago. I have put about 10,000 km on each of the Roadster and the 2 Giants combined. I got the Vorsa recently for riding on "less than smooth" gravel trails.

In a nutshell, both Ride1Up bikes are absolutely great, especially when compared to my ancient Giant eBikes, with one big exception discussed below. The Roadster is by far my preferred bike, primarily because it is much lighter and therefore much more responsive. It truly feels like you are riding a road bike and you are just flying along but with less effort. The Vorsa, as I anticipated, is somewhat of a tank by comparison, especially when lifting it onto a car rack, but it admirably does the job of eating up those gravel trails more comforably (and faster) than the Roadster does.

With either bike, I ride almost entirely in Tour mode, class 1. I reckon either bike gives me in practice about 50-60 miles from a full battery with rides that typically have considerable elevation gain, up to 2000 ft at times, and purposely not running the battery down to less than 20% if I can avoid it, 10% max if I can't. Kudos to Ride1Up for that.

Battery life is great, at least for the Roadster. I only have a few rides in on the Vorsa, so can't comment on it. However, for the Roadster I have a standard ride that I do to measure the miles I get from the battery. After 13 months and 6500 km, the Roadster battery lost less than 2% of capacity, which, based on my experience with the Giants, is extremely good and very acceptable.

The ONLY downside of both bikes is the display. As a programmer I wish I could modify the software to make it much more useful (or perhaps useful period) to someone who is actually riding the bike at the same time as trying to read/use the display. I suspect the software was written by someone who never actually went out and beta-tested it while riding and/or was trying to maximize battery use/longevity.

One example is distance traveled. It is on the Roadster main page but in a font so small it is unreadable in practice. It is a big enough font on the Vorsa, but it is not on the main page so it is never visible w/o pressing a button! Unbelievable.

Which brings up another issue. While riding, both displays revert back to the main page after a mere 5 seconds, which while riding is way too short a time to read. The user should be able to set this timeout, including the option for no timeout at all.

Another serious issue is display of battery voltage, or more correctly, lack thereof. On the Roadster you can get to it fairly easily but on the Vorsa it involves a tedious series of somewhere around a dozen or more button presses. Neither of these can be done safely while riding. Battery voltage should, in my opinion, be on the home page, not buried at all and always visible. The State of Charge (SoC) percent display depends on whatever algorithm the programmer decided to use. On the Roadster it is a terrible algorithm: typically SoC will not drop off 100 % until after 15-20 miles or so and I have learned never to start a ride below 50% because it drops like a rock on the lower half.

Ride1Up seems to have done a better job with SoC on the Vorsa. Based on only two 45-mile rides it seems to be much more realistic but only time will tell. The Vorsa will also display amp-hours remaining (but unfortunately after the same tedious button presses needed for voltage), so that is one improvement over the Roadster.

But for goodness sake, why not also display the actual battery voltage on the home page? There is plenty of screen real estate to fit it in on either display. The speed is in a font so big you can read it from the proverbial mile away; that font size could easily be cut in half to allow the main page to be much more useful, with readable distance and battery voltage (both using 2 decimal places) among many improvements that could be made.

The only other comment I have on both bikes is I wish Ride1Up would allow a better choice of tires, even if they charged more for it. My Roadster got a flat on the front tire after 1 week, on the rear tire after 1 month. I replaced them with Schwalbe Marathon Plus and 10,000 km later have not had another flat, doing the same ride much of the time. Even though the Vorsa came with entry-level protection Schwalbe tires, I am in the process of upgrading them to the industry-standard best protection, the Marathon Plus. My second Giant has those tires too and no flats yet on it.

If it were not for the display issues, I would rate both bikes 10 stars, on a scale of 5. The display, however, is the all-important user interface to the bike, and it is so bad I knock 2 stars off because of it. I truly wish I didn't have to do that.

Vorsa ST with rear child seat and front rack

I made a mistake on my shipping address and customer service helped me get it corrected quickly to make sure it was being sent to the right place. Once the bike and all the accessories got to me it was fairly involved to get it put together, but after following the written instructions and watching the assembly video it was up and riding. It was packed well and has been great so far. After about 150 miles riding around the bike feels durable and reliable. It only needed a little bit of bike mechanic level work, which I was comfortable to do, and I look forward to being able to do simple maintenance and keep this bike running for many more miles. I wish Ride1up had a seat belt but I was able to find one from another bike brand for the captains seat.

Love my new bike

Love my new bike. Ordering was easy. Decided on the Vorsa Lite. Bike arrived on time, well packaged. Assembly was not too difficult. The build quality is excellent. The bike met all my expectations. The controls worked well and were easy to adjust. We have some serious hills in my neighborhood and the bike handled them effortlessly. The motor is very quiet. I liked being able to adjust my effort. I can work as hard as I want to, or let the bike to more of the work, depending on my mood. Riding position was very comfortable for me as compared to my other bikes. My wife is very picky about bike comfort so I ordered the touring seat and suspension which was way more comfortable than the regular seat. The only issue I had with the bike was I had to adjust the low limit on the derailer. Just googled how to do it. Just a few turns of the adjustment screw it it was fixed. We to order a second ebike for my wife. It will be the Vorsa. Best bike in the price range in my opinion. Customer service reputation had a lot to do with my choice as well.

I’ve been really happy with my Revv1…

I’ve been really happy with my Revv1 bike. The bike itself rides great, does what it’s supposed to do, and hasn’t turned into an expensive regret, which is always encouraging. We did have a small snafu with shipping, but their customer service fixed it quickly and handled it well.

Honestly, that’s what stood out most the support has been responsive, helpful, and surprisingly competent, which is apparently still a premium feature in 2026. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Ride1Up. Good bike, good company, and they actually seem to care after the sale.

I spent a few months shopping for a new e-bike and Ride1Up checked all the boxes for my preferences. Ordering was easy and shipping secure and fast. Went for a mountain fire road ride today but most of my riding is roads into town area. This bike is a beast and rides great.
