I really enjoyed my training it was nice training the instructor was very careful

I unfortunately had a disappointing experience with RideTo’s customer support and booking flexibility.

I accidentally booked the wrong training date and realised outside of their cancellation window. I completely understand policies are there for a reason and wasn’t expecting a full refund, however I explained that I was offshore and out of the country at the time, and even offered to provide flight details and company evidence to prove this was a genuine mistake.

What disappointed me most was the complete lack of flexibility or willingness to help find any reasonable solution. I even asked if I could pay the additional £49.99 “Peace of Mind” cover or pay a reduced rebooking fee instead of losing the full £195 booking cost, but this was also refused.

The responses were polite, but ultimately there was no effort to accommodate exceptional circumstances or retain a customer in a fair way. For a company operating in training and customer services, I expected at least some level of discretion or compromise for genuine cases like this.

Just something to be aware of before booking, if you make an honest mistake, even with supporting evidence, don’t expect much flexibility.

Had my CBT today with Ian. Absolutely brilliant! I was extremely nervous at first, but he put me at ease in no time. He was so encouraging, patient and kind, made the whole experience really fun. I now feel a million times more confident and would absolutely recommend 1st Motorcycle Training to anyone looking for training, but especially those more nervous and uncertain. Fantastic experience, thank you so much!

The guys there were really informative but in a casual way that helps you understand a bit better. The trainer I had, Pete, was amazing, really funny, very knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun whilst also being safe. Would highly recommend doing your test through these guys.

I have been scammed by RideTo for my money. I paid RideTo £190 for my CBT which I planned for a while, due to unforeseen circumstances and delays on my bus journey there I was late by 20 minutes. During the journey the realisation hit that I would not be able to make it on time so I tried to call the phone number that was provided by RideTo to inform them of my lateness. Nobody Answered. When I arrived I was greeted by a very kind individual but he was not from RideTo but instead from Pheonix Motorcycles. When I later contacted RideTo to talk to them through the live chat I was informed that all the £190 was gone. Lost. Forgotten. I would understand loosing the £34 that the DVLA charge for a CBT booking but the rest £156 not being refunded is a scam as I never got to borrow a bike, never borrowed a helmet, never borrowed gloves. RideTo deserve to be out of this business for what they have done and I deserve my compensation of £156.

I had a brilliant day being taught by Jethro who clearly had allot of experience riding and teaching, he knew exactly when I personally needed to speed up in one section and equally slow down and explain a bit more or in a different way. Amazing day and I had fun along the way

Really easy to book online and quick too. Followed the step by step instructions and managed to book in under 5 mins. Earliest slot I found was through Ride To. Thank you very much!

Ignite motorcycles:

No other business compares to these guys! I’ve had lessons at 3 other companies, tried many instructors and no one matches the patience, genuine care and support that ignite gives.

I decided to book a lesson with ignite after struggling a lot with other companies during my ITM’s, and genuinely can’t express enough how much ignite has helped me- within one lesson I was riding with confidence and they were cheering me on, it truly meant a lot.

Their care, patience and passion quickly helped me to be more confident and trust that I actually can learn how to ride despite my previous challenges at other companies. Now my best friend is also learning with them and she’s having the same experience! Beyond grateful for these guys, each and every instructor has been a huge part of my learning journey, I passed my CBT with them a week ago and I feel confident to go on the roads with their guidance. I’ve come so far because of their help, and they’ve been my biggest supporters throughout it all. I definitely recommend!!

One of the worst service provider I have ever seen. Rude trainer with no good customer service. Take a moment before you book your CBT with them.

Web site is very misleading ..shows dates and when you click on it and go to next page and book it changes date without you realising ...no way to call to speak to someone and get it changed and won't give refund. Contact live chat and Jess says she will inform instructor you won't be there on date booked and failed to do so.
Glad to say the training school on the day was very good and would go straight to them in future and not use this company

Done my CBT course first time and really couldn't ask for more. Everything was explained and instructed clearly. Big thanks to Noah who had great patience with me.

Quick test sorted had to travel away from my area but all good booked and completed within 2 days whats not to like brilliant

Instructors instructors instructors. Kumar was mine, took as much time as needed to get me doing things right before moving to the next thing. Genuinely caring and patient yet safety first approach was perfect. Russell also helped a bit, and overall it's clear that the instructors here care about you getting as much value as possible from your day. Perfect for someone who has never ridden before!

Great instructors, friendly and super helpful

Booked my CBT training and had a very disappointing experience.

My session was scheduled for 8:00 AM. Due to traffic, I called ahead while in an Uber and informed them I was actively on my way and would arrive approximately 5–15 minutes late.

Despite communicating this in advance, my booking was cancelled before I arrived. I was then told that if I wanted to rebook, I would need to pay the full amount again.

What disappointed me most was not just the cancellation, but the complete lack of flexibility or customer care, despite me clearly making every effort to attend and keeping them informed in real time.

I understand businesses have policies, but customer service and fairness should still matter—especially when someone is genuinely on their way and communicating honestly.

Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that the focus was more on charging again than finding a reasonable solution.

Jay in Perry Barr was an amazing instructor. He taught me everything I needed to know. I’d never ridden a bike before, but now I feel very confident riding. If you follow his instructions, you’ll do great. Will definitely be coming back to get some training for my A license

The instructors were friendly and very knowledgeable! Made us feel very relaxed during our CBT and really gave the feel that they wanted us to pass so made it all less stressful. Couldn’t recommend enough!
