Great Customer Service but a little disappointed
Customer Service was reachable within minutes and very helpful. I didn't give 5 stars because I'm a bit disappointed that I have to buy new firmware equipment in order to pair my app with my garden since it is outdated at 5 years old. This is my first hydroponics system, so I don't know how much they usually cost but the system wasn't inexpensive to start with for me. Overall, I do like my garden though.

I absolutely love my Rise Garden
I absolutely love my Rise Garden! I have the 3-tier family model, and it's been a fantastic addition to our home. The customer support from Rise Gardens is truly exceptional. Every time I've reached out, they have been incredibly responsive and resolved my issues promptly.
Most recently, I contacted them about a part I needed, and even though my system is *four years* outside of warranty, they sent me the parts for free! That level of care and commitment to their customers is rare these days, and it speaks volumes about the company.
If you're considering a Rise Garden, I can't recommend them enough—not only for their amazing product but also for their top-notch support.

We just purchased our Rise garden
We just purchased our Rise garden and found the instructions to assemble very clear. It did take my husband a couple hours but everything very well constructed. We did have one minor issue with magnetic latch on cabinet and support service was very responsive and sent a new part immediately.

Many problems with the Garden and Company
I purchased a Rise Garden earlier this year, and have had nothing but problems with it. Among these:
1) The setup is difficult. The smartest builder I know couldn't put the Garden together in less than three hours.
2) The plant food and materials are EXPENSIVE.I spent over $2,500 on a three level Garden, supplies and seeds, only to produce some tomatoes, lettuce and one tiny cauliflower/turnip four months later. The other veggies would not grow because I was told there wasn't enough space for them. Which brings me to the next point....
3) The company states that you can grow 16 plants on each level, expandable up to a 108 plants total. This is an outright lie. If all you grow is oregano or lettuce, you might get 16 plants on all three levels. But if you want to grow veggies or fruit, you might as well cut that number down to eight or fewer plants per row, AND JUST 2-3 OF THE DOUBLE SHADE PLANTS ON THE BOTTOM ROW. NO MORE. They do not fit. So that's MOST veggies! The company says to leave a space between bigger plants, but they really need several spaces at least.
4) My plants have been growing tall and fast, but not producing any fruit after 4 months (only the tomato plant and cauliflower/turnips). I have to cut them back every 3 days and give them a gallon of water every other day (so I don't fail to prune, though they said only prune monthly) because the grow fast and into the lights. I was told I was giving them too much food, and then not enough. The App is NOT accurate BTW, it says to harvest when plants are not ready, and does not change the food requirement based on water added.
5) It takes forever to get your concerns resolved. I am a medical writer and the last thing I want to do after writing all day is write an email or chat! What happened to good old fashioned phone service?
6) I have done everything right, invested a lot of time into this Garden, and followed all of the customer service recommendations only to have marginal yields on most of the plants, if at all (except tomatoes which are growing and overpowering every other plant, despite pruning).
It has been one very expensive experiment that has failed. Oh and...
7) THERE IS NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL ON HOW TO GROW PLANTS. You have to find the info in the Q and A section on the website, print it out, then ask questions.
Still, this is a great concept, but Rise Gardens, you need to do much better. This Garden is too much money for what you get in the end and does not yield the advertised results.

Great customer service
Great customer service. My water pump was failing. I contacted the customer support team and they sent me information on all the things I could do to resolve the issue. When none of them appeared to work, the support team placed an order for me. A new pump is on the way at no cost since my garden is under warranty. I couldn’t ask for better support. We’re enjoying our first harvest and enjoying the experience.

Great customer support
I’ve had a Rise Garden 2 since May this year and it has been an amazing addition to my gardening. I recently experienced a pump malfunction and web troubleshooting steps were not able to solve the problem. After contacting customer service and explaining steps taken, they immediately sent out a replacement pump for me. Thanks for the prompt attention to help me save my plants!

Rise garden is a fire hazard
My Rise Garden 2’s power supply overheated and melted. Had I not smelt a burning smell and unplugged the unit, it easily could have started a house fire.
Customer service has not been great, they are reluctant to give my money back for the Rise equipment I have purchased.
I don’t feel that the unit is safe to have in my home after this experience.

Upgraded from a two-tier to a three-tier unit with some obstacles but support from customer service
I gave four stars because there was a few points of miscommunication regarding the discounts on current rise Garden 3rd generation versus second generation (their website vs Amazon), however they were able to be very straightforward about it. Also, I decided to return a second generation two-tier unit and purchase a three-tier unit. It was unfortunate that I could not just purchase the additional extension to my two-tier for the difference in price to expand my two tier unit to a three-tier. However they made the return and new purchase very seamless and I ended up saving money in the end. I would have given five stars if customer service was flexible enough to just allow me to purchase the extension for the same price difference to make a three-tier unit. Since I had to go through the whole return and repurchase it was extra work on my side but they were very supportive and responsive throughout the process. I recommend for them to have better price consistency between their website and Amazon moving forward. Also they should not hide older generation models on their website if they are still selling it. I needed to go through customer service to find the original link. Still happy overall and I would still purchase from them again moving forward.
In my personal opinion the design and build of the second generation looks more contemporary and pleasing than the newer third generation unit. The third generation looks more like an Ikea shelf that is hacked. Very happy that I snatched the second generation while they're still selling it because from my understanding there is very little technical differences in the performance. I'm suspicious that the third generation is potentially due to more cost savings in manufacturing and there were sacrifices in the design. It would have been helpful for them to lay out the differences between the two Generations on their website instead of me having to email customer service and ask for the differences in components and dimensions.

I was away on vacation for 12 days
I was away on vacation for 12 days. I had someone add water and some nutrients while I was away. When I returned I had 2 dead plants and 2 basil plants with brown spots.
I contacted Rise Garden and sent pictures. They immediately identified the problem as a potassium deficiency and told me how to fix it.

Honestly, amazing
I have had my garden for almost 2 years. And I love it. The garden it’s self is efficient, quiet and looks good (I got the white shelves)
The customer service has been amazing, every single time I have had questions, they have been quick, polite and to the point with responses and have solved the issue quickly.
Love the garden, love the service, can’t wait for another 2 years of yummy fresh veggies/fruits

My honest review about Rise Garden
In reviewing the three-tier rise garden, I find it aesthetically pleasing, well-built, and easy to maintain. I have achieved excellent results using their dry nutrients, and I have harvested a substantial amount of vegetables. However, I must highlight the company’s unwavering commitment to its products. When I encountered a unique issue with my garden that they had never encountered before, they promptly provided me with instructions and replacement parts. Their timely and thorough response resolved the problem. The only aspect I would suggest they improve is the inclusion of an “alive agent” to facilitate communication with customers beyond email. Overall, I highly recommend this company.

After getting over an early learning…
I got the Rise Garden primarily to produce fresh lettuce greens throughout the year. Being able to grow a variety of herbs, vegetables, flowers, and fruits is a plus.
After getting over an early learning curve, my Rise Garden is successfully producing fresh lettuce and herbs. I haven't had it long enough to see how the fruiting/flowering vegetables will turn out, e.g. tomatoes, strawberries, broccoli.
The system is great if you can get accurate advice from the app recommendations or from your own measurements of pH+EC on how to adjust the nutrients and pH level of your water. Once you figure that out, things feel very easy to manage. But I think I still have more to learn to keep a high productivity indoor garden. The customer service is great. I've engaged with them several times for technical advice on diagnosing issues with garden growth. They also replaced my 4-pack of Sorrel because my pack did not germinate the first time. The variety of seed pods they offer also keeps me excited to try and grow new things. I am currently subscribed to the membership to see if I feel it is value for money, and it so far seems to be. It's easy to manage and tailor and seems to be designed well for my garden needs. If I venture out and try growing with my own seeds, I may find that the membership no longer suits my needs, but for now I think I will stick with it.
Very happy I made this investment.

High quality product
Some pretext: I own 3 tier Rise Garden and 1 Rise Roma. I have owned them for 3 weeks now. I have also been an owner of a Gardyn 4.0 system for 2 months now.
Actual Review: I was really impressed with the bang for the buck Rise Gardens provided. The product is high quality. My wife and I have built a few DIY projects through the years and considered making our own cabinet hydroponic system. Well I don't think it was going to end up being any cheaper and definitely was going to be a ton more effort.
Below I will point out what impressed me about Rise. I will compare to Gardyn since that's what I have and they are in the same price range(base rise for gardyn3-4.0). That will give you a good idea of what you get for the money:
1. Rise comes with a nurseryfor each level you order!(gardyn asks for $80 for 1). The rise nursery is super low quality plastic but realistically that's all one needs.
2. Rise comes with covers for the empty spots where one does not plant anything. Gardyn charges $4 per cap(they have 30 spots on the system so a $120).
3. Rise uses the following materials in their system - metal, wood and plastic. Gardyn only uses plastic and wood. As such Rise feels higher quality and looks nicer.
4. Rise has engineered their product better. The company has hidden their computer inside a cabinet, away from water. Gardyn's computer is on the bottom of the lid just above the water.
5. Rise came with tds strips so I could see the hardness of my water, my water is RO so I did not need that but again pointing out one more thing that Rise gave for free.
6. Mobile app - Both have a mobile app but Rise's is much better organized. It measures your EC(not sure how accurate that is so I bought my own EC meter) and tells you how much to square from the pH down solution they give you and how much of the food to add. You need to remember to do this with Gardyn every week and they always ask you to add the same. Well EC in water can vary so that's not a good sustainable approach.
7. AI - Gardyn continuously tries to sell an "AI" model that will tell me when to feed my plant. That model is not very good, like I said it does not offer any EC reading, no pH reading. Costs $35 a month(membership cost)!!! Rise does not try to twist my arms to buy into a useless AI and has reminders and everything.
8. Food - Plants need different nutrients during different cycles of their life. Rise comes with "sprout" and "blossom" to address the different stages. Gardyn comes with just 1 food. HOWEVER Gardyn gives you more food versus Rise. However Rise's is more adequate.
9. Looks - That's the only reason I kept my Gardyn. Because it's like a vertical system so one can admire all of their plants at the same time. It's sort of like a vegetable painting on your wall. So I would say Gardyn wins here if this is what you are after. Rise looks really good too but you won't see all your plants at the same time after they are fully grown.
10. Rewards program - Rise has a very adequate rewards program. I will next use my rewards to buy some trellis where I don't recall such a program with Gardyn.
11. Support - I liked Garden's support better. More on point and quicker.
12. Maintenance - I think that would be subjective. Depends on how often you maintain your system throughout the year. Seems like Gardyn will be more difficult to do deep cleaning of but I am not sure yet.
13. Parts - Both companies sell parts and that is great.
14. Configuration - Rise hands down. Rise allows you to upgrade your system from 1 to 2 or 3 levels. And now even allows you to upgrade from regular system to Rise Roma. There's 0 flexibility with Gardyn.
Overall I think Rise Garden is likely the best indoor hydroponic system right now. Gardyn is probably second best. Aurogarden has smaller, less impressive systems so I did not even consider them. Rise's quality is superb and I feel that I got all the value for my money I was looking for, maybe even a little extra.

Initially Loved my unit- We purchased the large unit off of Amazon We planted lettuce and flowers was beautiful then the power cord went out.
Should be an easy fix however no one seems to carry the power adapter we called RISE for help so many times as it is under warranty. They told us call office depot, They also cannot find the replacement power adapter to fit the newest large RISE Unit - now we are stuck with a $1500 piece of junk :( they keep telling us its on back-order buyer beware - they should have just replaced the unit but nope................#warrantynotreal
