Where to start - no response to a submitted web form, no response to a contact us email, no answer when trying to phone...... Your customer service is awful..... Im not surprised at your low rating on here..... Just respond to my email request and treat your customers with a decent amount of regard.

If I could give them a zero I would. I got a vehicle back in 2018 with Santander for my loan. At the time I had no choice because I needed a vehicle to work as a single parent. I was working almost five jobs still struggling trying to get this vehicle paid off. 2020 hit and I was able to get a request for help for a month. So I paid what I could etc etc and I was still having trouble trying to pay it. So I called them up again trying to get help and they rejected me okay then. So I still try to pay what I could when I could, still falling behind. So I called them again probably around the end of 2021 beginning of 2022, I asked them how much I have paid off on this vehicle. They told me I paid about $14,000 and then I asked them how much I still owed, they said 17,000 and the vehicle at the time when I purchased it was 20,000. So only $3,000 has gone into this vehicle. I'm not going to lie when I heard that I was immediately upset. I have worked five jobs trying to pay this vehicle off for what? I know I have a high APR but that's a little ridiculous that only $3,000 has gone into a vehicle but I've been paying for over 4 years. I stopped paying because that pissed me off. So now my car is getting repossessed as of today or tomorrow, they wouldn't work with me about making some type of payment arrangement of what I could pay. They kept telling me I wasn't qualified anymore. So they have just gotten all this money out of me me struggling to make sure I have a vehicle to work and get my children to appointments and everything. And I did my very best
Horrendous wait times on Customer service
I have been trying to ring them today, and have still not got through- over 3 and a half hours on hold. It's hard to see how they can still use Covid as an excuse for this appalling customer service.
Awful customer service- avoid at all costs
Awful customer service. You can never talk to anyone, hold times are always over an hour and automatically cut you off at 5pm. No one wants to help and the online chat service is useless
Absolutely appalling service
Absolutely appalling service! Tried to get through on the phone for 3 hours today only to be met with the call center has closed! Wanted to pay my final settlement for my car early and couldn't make the payment online as the system is out of date and backward leaving me in a position where I could do anything!
Needed my settlement sorting before purchasing a new car and can seem to get hold of anyone to get anything sorted!

What a terrible experience dealing with…
What a terrible experience dealing with this company is.
I needed to retrieve my property deeds and have a nominal 50p mortgage charge removed from them - inherited from an Abbey National mortgage Deedsafe scheme paid off in 1993.
Here is where the fun begins - for three days running I attempted to contact customer services (without success) for a total of 6 hours. By this time I had almost lost the will to live so I presented myself to the local branch, explained the situation and told them I wasn't moving until my problem was sorted. Two and a half hours later (after tying up one of their pokey glass cages, a Santander telephone and a bemused assistant we finally got through to customer services!!! She was able to put me in touch with the Abbey Nationl team who said they would sort things out in 7-10 days. I LIVE IN HOPE - but will NEVER use this company again.
Appalling, useless, absolute disgrace CEO needs to be sacked
Made to endure ridiculously long holding times whilst being forced to listen to the hideous, brain damage inducing, holding jingle on a loop. When you finally get through to a person, you can barely get your query out before they put you on hold again and back to the stupid jingle, hold and hold and hold, then get cut off without warning. Arrrgh!
What a pathetic service from one of the biggest banking brands in the world, a financial giant managing billions of customer £s. You cannot blame COVID, short staffed, heatwave or whatever excuse is convenient. Whoever is responsible for this utter joke of a service needs to be sacked. Where is the customer management and why isn't this a priority?! I'm fuming that I have to waste my valuable working time on this utter disgrace of a company. LOOK AT ALL THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Very disorganised and incompetent company. Do not use this as your finance company. Stay very far away from them. They have negatively impacted my credit score wrongfully for 3 months in a row now. Staff don't have a clue what they're doing, and phone line wait times are abysmal. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Find a different finance company for your car and do not use Santander Consumer Finance.

Costing £3300 to take to court as they have refused for 3 years to honour the legislation in place to protect customers from shady sellers and the ombudsman is less than useless
They have ignored a legal notice served in November 2021 despite stopping sending threatening letters weekly which shows they have acknowledged the accusations against them
They have held false information on my credit profile for the entire time stopping me being able to secure loans both business and personal meaning I’ve had to use credit cards with 22% interest rates for purchases to grow my business in the mean time suffering a 17%+ loss due to the high interest compared to loans during a pandemic and economic crash
Tuppence to them life changing for me!

Terrible customer service ..tried calling twice today first call was took 40 mins to answer then was promised they would send the finance agreement over by email. Nothings happened, called again waited 1 hour 40 on hold and then cut off. Then got hold of them online and customer service rep was just plain rude
WAIT TIME SO LONG!
If I could leave a 0 star I would. Wasted OVER 1 hour on hold for them to not even have staff competent to deal with my issue or suggest someone to help. USELESS. AVOID!!!!

Cut off after 45 minutes!
On hold for over 45 minutes only to be cut off at 5pm as their offices close. I don't know why they bother putting customers in a queue if they aren't going to answer the call. If the company want staff to leave at closing then close the phone lines down earlier and don't have customers waiting in a queue to nowhere!
