Elsa from the Albany Road conveyancing team handled our recent FTB purchase. All of the legal work was carried out with great efficiency and attention to detail.

Sharon was also responsive and ensured everything was explained clearly. If you're a nervous first timer like me you might find the latter ends of the process waiting for news frustrating but the team were very clear with us on their time scales and what we could expect from them. I appreciated their direct communication; I only wish I'd trusted them more and not stressed myself out! Trust the process, they know what they're doing.

All of our searches and enquiries were complete within a fortnight and the handling of my account and final balances were scrupulous and detailed. The fees charged were competitive.

We had the pleasure of having our conveyancing work carried out by Benjamin Eaton. We first had an offer accepted on a property we thought was perfect - he highlighted things we hadn’t thought about that were wrong with the property that in the end meant we pulled out due to fundamental issues. Throughout that process, Benjamin was patient, friendly and understanding, even though it meant we didn’t pay as we didn’t complete. So back to the search we went! We quickly found another property that we fell in love with and again had our offer accepted! No chain as was a part ex. From offer accepted to completion, it was 7 weeks and 1 day - I’m now sat at our dining table in our first home on the day of completion writing this review! Absolutely couldn’t have asked for more from Benjamin, quick to respond, explained everything we needed to know and, as with the first property, patient, kind and understanding. We are so thankful and it has been a pleasure to work with him, we trusted him wholeheartedly and it took so much of the stress out of buying this home meaning we could focus on enjoying the process and planning our future. Afraz also worked on this purchase towards the end when it came to the funds and again, all the same attributes. Such a great experience we’ve had. You hear some horror stories about conveyancing that sound like nightmares but this process has been a dream for us. THANK YOU!!!!!

I recently used this firm to buy and sell my home. Elsa was incredible! Along the way a few hiccups as you would expect and she sorted every little thing it made it a simple process and therefore not stressful!

I purchased my first home through this company and I have to say I would not recommend at all! Poor communication, added stress as the solicitor left and they did not reallocate quickly (4 weeks later), incorrect billing, what they estimated at the start was incorrect and final bill was over double +. Not supportive of first time buyers as they did not talk your through the process. Poor service and added stress which you don’t need. Ruined my experience of buying my first house!

The team at Spicketts Battrick Wales did a great job pushing through the legal process of our recent move to Cardiff, particularly Benjamin and Afraz. They were prompt in replying to emails, good at explaining procedures and issues, and efficient at all stages of the process.

I would never use this company again, communication was terrible and they have come back demanding additional payment over 10 months after completion, I was never told about additional fees and they ignored my emails for 6 months when questioning it to then come back and ignore my questions and just ask for money.

They made my house buying experience very easy and simple to understand and helped me every step of the way I would defintely recommend them to any one of my friends and family

Terrible service with zero communication. The only email I received was about payment, and when I replied with a question, I never got a response. Extremely frustrating experience.
