I've been a member of SBL since 2017. The content and course teachers are world class. I love the variety of study areas. As someone who is not a professional musician, but wants to improve, SBL has proven to be invaluable. The team and support staff at SBL are super helpful with any question I have.

the is the one platform thet covers all aspects of bass playing

SBL has helped me to understand Bass playing in a way I've always wanted to, but could never grasp these concepts in the past. I had played for about 10 years just learning Bass tablature, but I couldn't feel like a bass player, I felt more like a person who happens to own a bass. Using SBL has helped me to actually LEARN the Bass guitar!

Awesome content, easy to access and learn at your own pace with excellent tutors.

I’m a beginner bass player past 40. I mostly played guitar back then, but I had this friend that made me love the bass. The fun for funk! But also the work of the bass player behind the scenes.

I start to follow sbl through their you tube channel, and those guys reminds me a lot of what I like the most in music: the sincere fun playing and talking bass and music by Scott and Ian. At some point I decided to try.

And what I found was something very comprehensive of a lot of lessons and paths, interviews, interactions (which, by now I’m not a big fan of, but just because I feel there will be more space for me to follow the huge flow of people inside the community of the forum) from how to start to how to progress and beyond.

Surely not all the topics are easy or fun, but there is sooo much there that you can find what you’re looking for: inspiration, songs, guided paths or small lessons… and if sometimes, you want to take a brake and just have fun you can always check their Tube for additional good times!

Worth at least trying!

You can't ask for anything more. SBL is loaded with bass/music knowledge from many different perspectives and the functionality of the site is awesome.

Talk about something for bass players by bass players, you couldn't ask for anything more than SBL!

Great teachers, great lessons and lots of fun! Realy makes you a better bassplayer. Changes my musical life, i am a much better bassplayer, especially when playing in a band.

Never stop playing. This resource makes me never want to stop diving deeper into this gift of music through bass. The teachers are smart and inspiring.

Well, it is amazing. Value for money is just crazy to me :) (I'm using annual membership). It requires a certain self-discipline, but eventually you can learn so much.

I love the format of the the Full Stack Bassist course.
Its instruction is at a steady, balanced pace for my level of intermediate bass playing. The SBL Academy have a high level of instruction which is both understandable and clear. Surfing the net for some time to find the right course for me as a bass player was very wearisome, but having the opportunity to learn the techniques, skills provided has enabled me to play with confidence and greater understanding. Well worth joining any courses in order to become a better bass player.

The best thing about SBL is the over positive vibe that exists in each instructor and lesson. Second, is the volume of high quality instruction available for all levels of experience. Even the variety in approaches to anyone topic is exceptional....just try it, it's also just plain fun!

ease of the site and all the info

Lessons are engaging and foster confidence and a sense of progress. Access to teaching from world class bassists and educators cannot be found elsewhere.
As a 54 year old beginner, I appreciate that I have access to previous lessons already completed, to refresh, remind, and reassure me that I have actually learnt something haha.

I wasn't sure for a few years whether to sign up, was it worth the money and investment?

After finally taking to step and joining...it's one of the best investments I've ever made.

My playings vastly improved, it's amazing being able to have a tutor on call for any problems or questions.

The bass hangs each months are fantastic and being able to hang out scott and ian is very cool.

The mentors live feed as amazing and the amount of mega bassists giving lessons is worth the investment by themselves.

If you're wondering if it's worth it.
It is! Do it!

Even after more than two years as a member I am still enthusiastic and still have so much to learn here at SBL. The best teachers I could wish for. Thank you!

Great instructors, thorough skill building, self-paced

There's so much info here to help learn from and be inspired by. I've been watching for maybe 5 years and signed up for their online lessons maybe 2 years ago and I finally got the lifetime plan today.
