I would reccomend
This is a great insurance company to deal with. They dealt directly with the vet. It’s very clear what the excess is and co payments so you know up front what you need to pay. Lovely people on the end of a phone if you need them. Claims dealt with very quickly and with minimal fuss.
It is value for money. Premiums are affordable and offer peace of mind. I have made 2 claims over the years for 2 of my dogs without fuss.
It does pay to read the small print. Vets charge huge fees for drugs and consults but the policies only cover a set amount for consult fees and may not pay the full fee.
Though it pays out on drugs , if may not pay the full amount on the the hyper inflated amounts vets charge for drugs. Despite this, it’s still a very good value and affordable policy. We have both on premier.

I hesitated in claiming for Zak’s lump…
I hesitated in claiming for Zak’s lump removal as it was only a few weeks after changing to Scratch & Patch that it appeared. To be honest if I had known I was going to have a reason to claim I would have stayed with our previous insurer. I changed because Scratch & Patch was far more economical and half expected my claim to be questioned. But that was not the case. A most efficient and straightforward service. Would definitely recommend Scratch & Patch.

Our dog had a lameness that needed…
Our dog had a lameness that needed further investigation and I can’t argue how easy the process was in claiming the bills back for this.
From initial submission of the forms from the vets to money being back in our bank was less than 4 days! They communicate well, quickly and effectively to get info from you where needed and if it’s in line with your policy they pay!
Highly recommend!

Be careful when insuring your pet with this company.
My dog was 12 years old and we thought he was healthy having had regular check with the vets every year.
He suddenly collapsed and we rushed tot he vet only to find he had cancer of the liver that had burst causing a massive internal bleeding and very sadly he had to be put to sleep.
Cost £600 claimed on our insurance to find out that with all the stipulations and because he was over 10 years old we received £19.
Make sure you read the small print as the insurance was next to useless. A waste of money.
