I am new to the world of writing and having an editor has been immensely helpful. I naively thought my manuscript would be ‘Ready to go”and now am aware that a further edit to tidy up some of the ideas/concepts is still required. After reflection I fully appreciate this now so that the work remains in my voice. My editor did a wonderful job. Her language skill was coupled with a sensitivity to the content. I am utterly grateful. I recommend Scribendi as helpful, prompt and great value.

Didn't ask for a rewrite
The editor was knowledgeable and corrected the text rather well. However, in general, the edits were too extensive as if we requested editing instead of proofreading. It also gave us a lot of work to check all the changes, decide if we agree with them, and then go through the text once more to determine if all is correct. This would be fine in a draft stage, but since we just wanted to have it proofread it was too much and gave us a lot of work. Overall, great service but do specify to the editor what exactly you want done.
