I recently bought a farm which had a separate 30 acres on a different title i was charged sdlt on the whole purchase price which came to 102 k in stamp duty sdlt refunds have just secured me a refund of 34k less their fee .The whole process took 31 days from me sending through the paperwork they required . A very simple and worthwhile process i would definately recommend them

Maria was successful in reclaiming me a SDLT overpayment on an uninhabitable property. It was managed quite quickly and efficiently after I supplied relevant documents. The costs to me were reasonable, and I would use them again if I ever make an overpayment mistake.

SDLT refunds are fantastic and just got me £10k back from HMRC!
I bought a house last year that had an annex attached. Some months later, I found out that conveyancing solicitors generally don't understand the intricacies of stamp duty legislation, so I ended up paying a lot more SDLT that I should have done, as there is SDLT relief available when there is an annex.
Sam at SDLT Refunds was brilliant, he talked me through the whole process very clearly and even gave me honest guidance in terms of what I had to do to ensure the refund was granted by HMRC.
The whole process was very efficient, from signing their terms to getting the money in my bank took around 5 weeks.
No cost up front, and yes, SDLT do take a success fee, but it's negligible compared to the refund received and from my research they were more competitive than others in the market offering similar service.
I also appreciated that their fee includes indemnity in case HMRC decided to "go to battle".
Top marks, highly professional, no pushy sales spiels, and very efficient.
Definitely worth a try, it costs you nothing unless they get a result!
