The entire experience of selling my sewing machine was reassuringly very straightforward. From my initial enquiry online, to receipt of quotation by email, to collection of the sewing machine by tracked by Royal Mail parcels organised by Ashley at SellMySewingMachine, to money transfer to my nominated account, everything went as planned leaving me most satisfied.

Great service, speedy and cash deposited within 48 hours as promised, it was a Sunday too! Will deffo use them again should I need to sell an old machine.

I’ve contacted SellMySewingMachine twice via their contact form - once several months ago and then again a few days ago - and they have never responded. I have an old machine to get get rid of - I don’t expect any money just wanted it to be of use to someone as it was my Mother’s machine - but will now have no option but to go to the tip. It would just have been nice to get a response either way; or even an acknowledgement of receipt of details.

After a small hiccup in communications at the start, I was offered a fair price for my machine and sent instructions for its collection. Everything happened as stated- the machine was collected on a Friday and arrived on the Saturday, with the money appearing in my account on the Monday morning- I couldn’t have asked for more.

Have tried to contact this company several times. The phone number is invalid. Sent pictures, emails etc, to get a quote, as per the website, but no-one ever responds.

Do they actually exist and, if so, how do you contact them?

Update 2 - Have already had a further response to our request to sell our machine. Even though they do not deal with Singer "treadle" machines, it was good to find that out quickly, along with some useful advice about what we can do next.
Happy to update the rating based on the responsiveness, once we had overcome the initial communication problem.

Efficient service, slight delay in payment but was paid after I emailed.

Great communication. Very easy to sell. They pick it up which was fantastic. Recycling made easy with a cash bonus. Paid as soon as received. Can't fault them.

Everything was done by email. I just took a photo of my machine and sent it in by email. They offered me a price almost immediately. I accepted the price, gave them my address and details. The Royal Mail collected the sewing machine at the specified time with a prepaid tracked sticker. The money is already in my bank. Someone else is using my sewing machine. I am so happy that it is no longer gathering dust. Thank You for such a brilliant service and smooth operation.
