Terrible Customer Experience - Would not order!
Terrible customer experience would never order again.
What I am about to write is the short version of the story. SewShan has ruined what could have been a great small business. Her designs while amazing, are not good enough to excuse the abysmal customer service I have received. Honestly, this is the worst shopping experience I have ever had.
Firstly, I contacted SewShan via tiktok. There were no problems, she replied and was friendly. I paid for priority after talks with her, but yet my item was shipped late. I got no reply when I tried asking for an update.
When the parcel arrived, there were issues with loose threads on one of the mystery items. No reply from SewShan until I eventually commented on a video of hers, where she told me that contacting her via TikTok was an inappropriate form of contact, and to email her. At the time there was no email address on her website.
Eventually, get her to send me her email address, where she offers to replace the item. I ask if possible to have the same design (as it was beautiful). After initially telling me no, she then agrees but can’t promise the colour of the t-shirt. No problem, happy to have any T-shirt colour.
The new item arrives with more problems. The design is missing some key elements were the machine just didn’t work. I tell SewShan this, and show her comparison pictures of her website and what she has sent. She ignores this and tells me she is a small business, and I should accept mistakes. But this isn’t what I ordered, and small business or not you do expect quality.
After emailing back and forth, she tries to blame me. Saying that I was ‘demanding’ to have the same design (instead of just politely asking, which is what I did). She claims there was nothing wrong with her designs, and when I eventually get her to acknowledge the difference, she tries to tell me that the design is unsuitable for a t-shirt, which she can’t help (this is nonsense as if it wasn’t suitable it should never have been sent in the first place; I did not pick this design, it was in a mystery bundle).
Eventually, after going back and forth for nearly a month, she agrees to replace the top again but cannot promise the design. She says I can keep the faulty t-shirt, (as I would not accept her £5 off voucher, as I certainly will not be ordering again). The new t-shirt has arrived and it is the same design as the other item in the mystery box.
I am waiting to hear from SewShan, but I am confident she will try and tell me that ‘it is a mystery box, you do not get a say in what you get’. But nowhere on the website does it state you can get duplicates. This is just an assumption but a good one based on her previous emails to me.
Overall she seemed very unapologetic, and unable to accept constructive criticism. I did not want to write this review, as bad reviews can be damaging for small businesses. But people should know that if they order from SewShan, and there is an issue, do not expect an easy resolution.
I would advise everyone to AVOID this seller.
