Found by chance and will definitely be back when we’re in the area. Fantastic place and the hosts were brilliant.

What an absolute find. On our arrival, we were met with a huge smile and a very warm welcome from Phil the host and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for him and his wife Adele. The hotel is beautiful, furnished to a very high standard and in keeping with the age of the property. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and provide everything you need, with tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge, hair dryer, shampoo, body wash and smart tv. the list goes on, oh what can I say about the bed, best nights sleep I have had in a long time and the luxury bedding and soft pillows made it heavenly , From our room window we looked out over Shibden Hall, and its surroundings, the view is breathtaking. The peaceful outdoor seating area was a quiet retreat from everyday urban life and was just what the doctor ordered, taking our morning coffee here before going to eat a delicious well presented full English (our choice) although there is a menu with other delicious choices.. Whilst the hotel gives the illusion of being in the middle of nowhere, Halifax town and other attractions are only a five to ten minute drive away and Shibden Hall and its beautiful grounds and park are within walking distance. There is also a beautiful little cottage attached called 'The Hideaway' decorated to the same high standard as the hotel with its own garden and large gate for anyone wanting to bring their fur babies. We would definitely recommend this 3* hotel to anyone wanting to experience a 5* facility at an unbeatable price. We will absolutely without a doubt book to stay here again.
