It was a pleasure travelling with Simple Coach Hire. My family and I visited Liverpool last week, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and straightforward, and even when I had some last-minute changes, the team accommodated them without any extra charges.
Both drivers over the two days were highly experienced and professional, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey. The whole team was supportive and helpful right until the end of our trip.

We visited the UK last week with our group and used Simple Coach Hire for 5 days throughout our trip. From the very beginning, the booking process was easy, smooth, and very professional. The team was always quick to respond and made sure everything was arranged perfectly for us. Our driver was excellent throughout the journey. He was very professional, friendly, and had great driving skills. We always felt safe and comfortable, even when travelling through busy areas and city traffic. During our trip we had the chance to visit some beautiful places including Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Hyde Park, Camden Market, and the London Eye in London, as well as Stockwood Discovery Centre and Wardown Park in Luton. Having a reliable coach service made the whole experience even better and allowed us to enjoy every destination without any stress. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Simple Coach Hire and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional and reliable transport services in the UK.

I booked transport for a group journey on 7 March (Booking Ref: SCH/050346581) through Simple Hire Coaches. Before confirming, I obtained multiple quotes for a 25- and 29-seater coach travelling from Hull to Reading (with stops at Nottingham and a comfort break at Leicester), including a return journey the same day. This company quoted £1,400, which I paid in full via BACS.

Later, when our group size reduced, the vehicle was downgraded to a 16-seater, yet the price remained unchanged.

Two days before travel, I was unexpectedly asked to pay an additional £450, allegedly because the journey exceeded eight hours and required two drivers under UK regulations. After raising concerns, we agreed to proceed without the additional charge, but notably, only one driver attended on the day. This raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of the last-minute extra charge.

There were also several major issues during the journey:

1. Serious Safety Concern – Missing Wing Mirror
While travelling on the M1, we discovered that the driver-side wing mirror was missing (only the frame remained). This meant we travelled approximately 500 miles without a functioning mirror, creating a significant safety risk.

2. Faulty Handrail
An elderly passenger (aged 86) was put at risk when the entry handrail came loose while boarding. Fortunately, she was supported by a family member and avoided injury. This indicates poor vehicle maintenance.

3. Poor Vehicle Condition and Comfort
The minibus was extremely cold throughout the journey, with no effective temperature control. There were also no functioning interior lights, forcing passengers to use mobile phone torches. Legroom was limited, and there was inadequate space for luggage, even for a modest number of bags.

4. Uncomfortable Return Journey Experience
Although we had agreed to depart Reading between 5:00–5:30 pm, the return journey began at approximately 4:15 pm. During a scheduled stop, we were made to feel rushed due to the driver mentioning potential extra charges for waiting time, which made passengers uncomfortable.

5. Lack of Documentation
Despite repeated requests, I have still not received an invoice for the payment.

This journey involved NHS doctors, nurses, and elderly family members travelling to attend a funeral. It was not a leisure trip, and we expected a safe and professionally managed service. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of this expectation.

Despite raising a formal complaint with the company, no meaningful response or action has been taken.

Given the safety concerns, questionable additional charges, lack of transparency, and poor vehicle condition, I strongly advise others to exercise caution when booking with this company.

Excellent service our driver Zahid was early polite and very professional. The vehicle was immaculate made our journey to the O2 stress free and a lot less hassle than the train and tube.
Nick communicated through out the whole booking process keeping me up to date and reassured .
I would highly recommend using this company again and to other people.

Usman our bus driver was very helpful and helped us put all our belongings on the bus. Pick up and drop times were on time and the journey was pleasant.

We used simple coach hire for our trip from Lincoln to Manchester Airport. The driver was early, but didn't rush us. He loaded all our suitcases into the van. On our return, we got a text from the driver telling us exactly where we were being picked up and he was waiting for us when we got out of the airport. Nick, who was our assistant was amazing. Both drivers were very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Simple coach hire, and will use them everytime i need a minibus.

Hi I used simple coach hire for the very first time , for the rugby grand final, I will definitely be using this service in the future ,and I would recommending using this service , they were very professional well organised and very informative throughout.

Never actually used the company just enquired. Months later still being bombarded with text messages with no way to stop it. I’m clearly not interested in the quote you’ve sent STOP contacting me….borderline harassment to be honest

Have used this company twice now, most recently for a group of 20 airport transfers, and the communication up to was really helpful especially as we had some changes happen. Provided contacts of the drivers and they were helpful and no issues with driving, also did a stop off on request when lots needed the service facilities! Will use again in the future :) thank you

Used this company last week for a airport transfer. Got the driver details 48 hours before which make it more easier for us to communicate with them. Nick helped us throughout the journey and make our journey a memorable one for us. Will definitely use this company once I visit the UK again
