Avoid. Still trying after a year to get £3,000 refund for a job that did not proceed! Manasa claimed she had sent the money; after a full bank investigation proved she had not, she is now refusing to respond to chasers.

I have a drive for four cars so expected the work to take a three or four days to do, I had a block pavor drive, all was lifted out and cleared for the base layer which was laid by the end of a long day, an early start had concrete laid and by the end of day 2 we had our lovely drive finished, it has really enhanced the front of our house, everyone comments how nice it looks even passer bye's.

Currently struggling to get a refund for my parents who as elderly individuals have fallen foul of doorstep charm and promises. Multiple emails and the surprise they have when the refund promised weeks ago has not landed in my parents is laughable.
Total joke - keep clear.

17/1/24 - to confirm monies finally refunded about much chasing

From receiving a phone call from Mensa and discussing there offer to there product, to then making an appointment with us for Ray the salesperson to come to us, and explain the procedure of how they would carry out the work.
Ray arrived on time and explained everything and was not pushy at all and even went out to his car so we could discuss in private if we wanted to have the work carried out.
To then Mark coming to carrying out the work to a professional standard , and all flooring covered to the roof hatch and no need mess at all .Very pleased with the work, and have already felt a difference in the heat in the house .

The man who came and told us about the product was very knowledgeable and I was more than happy to go ahead with the installation.
The men who came and installed it were extremely hard working and finished in the time predicted.
We noticed the improvement in the temperature in the house the very next day and it has continued todate.

The workers turned up on time, were very friendly and got straight on with the job. They did an excellent job and left everything clean and tidy. I would recommend them to anybody thinking of using them.

Over £10,000 taken with no work done, and no communication.
SCAM. Please do not give them your money. Large scale scam company. They routinely take deposits and do not do the work. There are multiple ccjs against them, however there are no company assets to take.
There are also many trades people who have not been paid for their work either- all the work is completed by sub contractors and Skean have almost run out of contractors they can use- it is a 2 scam. They currently owe us over £10,000 for work that was supposed to take place this summer, we have been through the court process and won all claims, we are persuing multiple routes to get our money back, and compiling evidence against them to take the matter further.
They asked for £20,000 deposit.
The scam includes taking your first deposit for the booking, taking a second the day the work is supposed to start, it also includes calling up only a day or two before the work is due to start and demanding more money to do the job, or they threaten not to turn up at all.

Please don't go near this company. Their business practice is to take money, a deposit and then a stage payment needed before work can start, but the work doesn't start. Manasa Mamidli, the CEO of the company, is initially quite convincing but becomes less credibly with time.
After 5 months wait for a driveway to be resurfaced and paying out nearly £3000, I was told by Mamidi to apply in writing for a refund. To this I receive a response from Laila (Manasa) that a "priority" refund would be with me in 2 weeks.
This refund never happened so I have now filed an online court claim.

Following this I received this text from Manasa :-
"I have been advised you put a court claim on us
Now the solicitor has to deal with it
We need to take advise on it and we will process accordingly.

Took the company to small claims court to try and recover the money I have paid out to them.
Skean Homes failed to respond in the given time so I have asked for a CCJ ruling.

On 29th Jan this year a county court ruling was made, instructing Skean Homes to pay the £3,034.67 owed to me.
Last Tuesday I received an email from the company saying that they were trying to contact me. I phoned Manasa Mamidi and she said that they had a new team and could undertake the driveway resurfacing.
Other customers had allegedly accepted this offer rather than hold out for their money to be returned. I declined the offer.
Today I visited trustonline.org.uk and found that that Skean Homes has 12 other CCJ rulings against them, a total of £50,802 in unpaid debt.

Further to my previous.

Skean Homes took a deposit for works they quoted.

12 weeks later they told us the price would increase £3,500. For no reason

We had a visit from Darren. He is amazing but he doesn’t work for Skean he is a company Skean homes hired in, they never told us this is how they do business.

Manasa quoted the job but Darren could not do it for the price Manasa had quoted us. We were told this 12 weeks after paying a deposit.

I have no evidence that Skean Homes directly employ staff to carry out works. They therefore rely upon sub contractors for design and specification but Skean homes take a deposit on the basis of the scope and design they have provided. It gives them every opportunity to hold customers to ransom.

I never asked for a driveway based on cost in fact I asked for some extras to be added.

The comments from Manasa on my previous review demonstrate the type of person she is.

As of today we still have not had any money returned from Skean homes, they have not carried out any works and are disputing a court judgement against them.

Looking on companies house they have not submitted accounts on time as required and I can see other people have similar issues. I am also reliably informed they owe contractors money.

Maybe they have managed to arrange Sub Contractors to carry out work and certainly Darren who I met was brilliant but he wasn’t Skean Homes and Manasa demonstrated she was not skilled in surveying property nor able to guarantee her price.

Manasa threatens me with Lawyers. To date I have not suffered her with the same. That to me says it all.

Again, please be aware and choose wisely with such a large investment, when it goes wrong it is a lot of work to get your money back.

We are absolutely delighted with the service that Skean Homes Ltd provided. The team that attended to complete the work both in the preparation phase and then later to lay the resin were excellent. They were all friendly and incredibly efficient - It really has transformed our drive. An excellent service from start to finish and we would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I would and have highly recommended Manasa, Darren and the team to other people interested and impressed with the finished product of our resin driveway. They went above and beyond (in the freezing cold) to make it look right. I can’t thank them enough for what they did and how friendly and professional they were from start to finish.

We hired Skean Homes to install a resin driveway at our property in 2021. The installation went well. However, within 2 months weeds were coming through, although we were promised 10 years no maintenance driveway! We contacted Mansa at Skean Homes who initially was receptive and agreed there was an issue with the installation. Someone was sent round to review the driveway and spray weed killer! After almost 2 years and a promise of a refund, Mansa and Skean Homes have gone quiet, no longer responding to our calls, texts or emails. We’re left £10,000 out of pocket and a driveway full of weeds! Would not recommend this company for a resin driveway.

Update November 2023:
After posting the above review Mansa got in touch and offered us £3000 compensation, when we paid £10,000 OR refit of the resin driveway at no extra cost to us. Obviously, we went with the refit, the date agreed upon was the 21st September 2023.

21st September came and went, no refit, no communication, no date change, just radio silence. I have since tried messaging and phoning Mansa and received no response.

I would not recommend this company as there is zero customer service, no interest in correcting issues, once they get your money.
