I have signed up with them, but cancelled my subscription. Out of the blue after months without my knowledge unpaused my subscription and started charging me for it, eventhough I cancelled it. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. They are impossible to get into contact with and are criminals for taking people's money after subscriptions have been cancelled.

I had a trial ages ago and forgot to cancel after trial and was charged the subscription (in fact i am not sure if I had). Anyway, i attempted for a refund and failed. The staff replied that instead of refunding me, they would let me extend my subscription for another 6 months without extra fee and assured that i wouldnt be charged again when the 6-month was over.
Yet, after 6 months i am charged again with subscription fee. I emailed Shaw again to check when happened, but never got any reply.

I am absolutely DISGUSTED by this company!! On the 1st April 2021, I signed up to a ‘free 4 week course’, and did not Buy any extra services or upgrade to premium (as they’re trying to tell me I did). Literally within 20 minute of me signing up I realised it wasn’t what I thought and cancelled it immediately!

Straight after I got bombarded with phone calls as to why I cancelled, and then Six days later I got charged £39.99. I was shocked, and immediately demanded a refund. And they proceeded to tell me that I had ‘clicked premium’, and that I had cancelled after the 7 days (when I got charged on the 6th day). But I also have screenshots of my confirmation email from the 1st April confirming my cancellation and confirming I spoke to someone about the cancellation on the 1st day!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! They are a scam and as soon as you sign up to their “free” course they will take your money regardless if you cancel!

If I could leave a 0 I would. I have tried to cancel with them for months!!! They continue to charge my credit card after contacting them many times to cancel my membership! I have never gotten anything from them yet they continue to take my money. This is a huge scam company!!! They need to stop stealing peoples money. They are crooks.

I signed up for a free trial and my credit card was immediately charged $45.99 for “materials” which I did not authorize. Tried to communicate with them for a refund with no luck. Many months later am still getting emails from them to “claim my certificate” when I never went back on their website. Filed a case with PayPal and still didn’t receive any money back. Total scam artists.

I signed up for a free online course with Shaw Academy, a course which I did not even do. Next thing the debited R399 from my account. I have been sending emails but nothing. I want my money back please.

While on a free trial, I kept receiving pop ups for discounts. The first time I saw one I clicked for more info. Little did I know this was a one-time purchase. Immediately sent a request for a refund and did not download anything. Never heard back from anyone. Needed to submit a dispute with my bank. Just yesterday, tried to watch a course while on the free trial and nothing ever showed. This is a scam. Steps to cancel through the application eventually leads you to have to call. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!

I booked a yearly subscription in february and in March i got charged again for 199.95€ and they still don't send me my money back.
I also told them i wanted to cancel my account and it seems impossible... This company is 100% scam

Cancelled my free trial over 6 months ago after a long and difficult process which took weeks. I thought it was finally over after that but now they are spam calling me daily and waking me up at night. I've blocked their numbers but they keep using new numbers! They will not leave me alone trying to make me re join. I assume they tried to charge my account again out of no where and noticed my old bank account is closed now because of them. Do not trust! I'm going to have to change my phone number now

Shaw academy is a scam.
My story is similar to others; I signed up for a free trial. Than I cancelled, since the "scheduling" of classes did not suit me. They kept calling from various UK phone numbers and offered to give me one more month free so that i can finish the course and gain my certificate. Nothing worked as promissed during the phone calls. I have not taken a single lesson and my account has been charged 4 times totalling over 180€. They are still making impressions to "work on my request" for a refund, but everytime someone else is responding.
If you asked me, I´d advise you to stay away from the Shaw academy scammers.

Worst experience ever. My bank refunded what they took and now they want to charge me back. They even had all this invoice or the so called evidence that I reactivate my account. Watch out people they want to twist things around here.

My subscription has not been cancelled! They are liars! They charged me even on my first month which is supposed to be free! I checked my credit card statement and there it was! Shaw Academy is a SCAM! Student number is 16284.

Worst ever!!!! Don’t ever! I signed up for the free 4 week classes... I’ve talked to a representative and told them I’ve never started and didn’t have time and what’s the point of taking a class and you gotta pay for materials and to remove me. All was agreed on I thought... until this morning I wake up and check my account and SHAW HAS CHARGED MY ACCOUNT 69.99 ... I can’t get anyone to talk to about it... I want my money back!

Scammer thieves. Unauthorised charges and impossible to unsubscribe.

Right when I thought I might finally get my money back Shaw Academy either does not respond or just keeps asking for my credit card info. I don't understand why there's not a number to call and how they expect me to give them credit card info over an email when they've already taken over $200 for me. I didn't want to have to resort to fraud actions but looks like it's the only option at this point. Very disappointed

Like all the other reviews on here, I got baited by the "free-trial".

During that free-trial period I cancelled my subscription after receiving endless phone calls form my "course advisors" who were trying to get me to spend more money on a free-trial....

Even though I had cancelled my subscription they still took out £50.00 from my bank account and are now telling me that they "cannot refund" it.

I'm still in the process of being refunded, but do yourself a favour and stay far away from them.

I wish I had read the reviews online before blindly signing up to these con-artists. The only way to cancel this so called "free trial" fee that they have already stolen out of my account is to cancel my card. How is this company still operating??
