Run don’t walk …
Run don’t walk to Sofar Sounds in Malibu. We attended for a friend’s Birthday and absolutely had the best time in a beautiful venue. Loved that it was run so smoothly. 3 performers/bands that sung 4 songs each with outstanding classics being played in between each set up. Thanks for an outstanding event. We will be returning.

The venue was INSANE
The venue was INSANE . Rooftop view of downtown Vancouver on the most beautiful night imaginable. The performers were way beyond what we expected. The bar was excellent-good prices and options.

Amazing experience
If you're into listening to great artists without having to pay an arm and a leg, and getting a genuine live music experience, Sofar Sounds is for you. The MCs are also great at breaking the ice for the crowd, it feels like a familiar space. Getting to meet with the artists also makes the experience more special. Very wholesome experience overall!

I had such a wonderful time at Sofar
I had such a wonderful time at this Sofar event. The setting at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts was beautiful. I had never been there before, and it was such a lovely surprise to experience live music surrounded by art.
Connor Donohue, Milah, and Tanner Dane were all fantastic. Each artist brought something special, and the whole evening felt intimate, soulful, and thoughtfully curated. Between the music, the art, the welcoming atmosphere, and the food/coffee offerings, it felt like one of those special Greenville experiences you’re grateful to stumble upon.
Such a cool event and a beautiful way to discover new artists and local spaces. I would absolutely attend another Sofar show.

Good music
Good music, engaging artists. Venue was ok, although small and you couldn't see the stage well from the back. Breaks were a bit too long, would love to get 1 more song from the artists and less break time. Also it would be great if it would be announced previously about any drinks & food options

Our Fifth Sofar Show, and Unfortunately the Worst
My boyfriend and I recently attended a Sofar Sounds event, and unfortunately it was the most disappointing experience we've had. This was our fifth Sofar show together, and we've always enjoyed them in the past, which makes this experience even more frustrating.
The event started significantly late, and communication from the staff was poor. While attendees waited, the person providing updates repeatedly told us the performers were "20 minutes away," but the delays continued. What made matters worse was the lack of professionalism—there seemed to be little urgency or genuine concern for the audience's time. The apologies felt insincere, and there was no effort to keep attendees informed in a meaningful way.
When the event finally began, there was only a brief, lackluster apology before the music started. There was no proper introduction, no acknowledgment of the extended delay, and the overall atmosphere felt disorganized and unprofessional.
I've recommended Sofar Sounds to friends many times because previous experiences were so enjoyable. This time, however, I was genuinely embarrassed to have spoken so highly of the brand. What had become a special tradition for my boyfriend and me now feels like something we're unlikely to attend again.
I understand that delays and unexpected issues can happen, but professionalism, communication, and respect for attendees go a long way. Unfortunately, those elements were missing from this event.

There was no actual show
There was no actual show. I sat there with the artists and 4 other guests in the middle of a grocery store. We all were waiting for staff that never showed up. We ended up leaving around 8:15 and going to another venue. None of the artists heard from any staff person.
