I purchased two vest and two batteries. One of the vests did not work…and the workmanship of the vest was subpar. So I never opened the second vest, sending both back. That’s when the aggravations started. (Each number below is a separate email)
1. After requesting info on how to make a return, they offered me 15% off my bill if I kept the vests. I reminded them that the vest does not work and I want a refund for both due to poor quality vests.
2. Then they offered me 30% if I keep them…I had to decline that as well and again requested directions on returning the vests for a full refund.
3. I had to paid for the return, even though one of the vests did not work.
4. I had to track the return and let them know when “they” received the return
5. Then I had to confirm the vests and batteries were returned.
6. Then I had to confirm that the batteries were returned.
7. Then another individual asked if both vests were returned.
8. Another needed to know if the batteries were shipped with the vests…same questions over and over …for each ridiculous question I confirmed and requested a refund.
All communications were all separate emails…one per day…this turned into a two week process with no end in sight. At this point, I found a phone number and let them know how i felt about this whole process. Lo and behold, three days later I received my refund. I will never deal with the Solona gear again. I my mind, they still owe me the 12 dollars for shipping a non functioning vest back to them.
UPDATE: See Solana response below…they have at least ten emails from me with all my contact info on each email. If they truly wanted to refund my shipping cost for a heated vest that did not work, all the information is already available to them. Just more wasted time that I will not be part of….

I ordered the XL and got the SMALL. Replied to them, rec'd discount IF I kept the 1st one. Did same and reordered the XL (perfect fit) BUT I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BATTERIES. Don't remember seeing the ad for battery pac. Would have liked that & need that having Raunads Disease. Was VERY satisfied with the speed of their responses. Several conversations. Anything coming out of china these days costs too much shipping to return so they don’t want returns but return policy doesn’t state this fact.

I went to their website via a browser search looking for insulated gloves for our son who is a mountain biker. There was no documentation indicating shipping charges etc., so we filled out an order to see what the total charge would be. At no time was there ever an intent to order, nor did I ever approve the order. Several days later two packages were delivered to my door for insulated gloves, one large size and the other medium size. When I looked at my credit card statement, I had been charged three times ($54.35, $21.74, and $54.35) over three days. I contacted the company and explained that I had not ordered their products only to be told that in order to get a refund I would have to return the items AT MY EXPENSE. Although I did not think it a fair way for them to do business, I followed their instructions and returned their items, unopened, in the same condition as I received them. I received an email from their "customer support" offering a $43.49 refund. After a very vigorous objection from me, they offered an additional $65.23 that they termed a "full refund". They offered no explanation how they arrived at those two numbers. They stated there is a "$9.99 nonrefundable shipping fee" for each shipment that is not documented anywhere on their website. At that point I disputed the charges via my credit card company. I have also replied to their latest email and stilll demanding a full refund and I will eat the $9.54 it cost me to return the items. Remember that I DID NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! AVOID DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH SOLANAGEAR !!!!

Poor customer service and return policy, I ordered a Solana heated vest, size small (unisex sizing), and it was too big. I returned the vest using the US Post Office. I did not keep the tracking number but did provide proof of purchase to Solana. Their customer service asked me get a tracking number from the post office, but they cannot provide it. After several phone calls and emails, I was told that I cannot get my $109
refunded.

reviews. Figuring, I have to start trusting websites.
I just received them, Jan 10, 2026. An unusually long
time. Several emails to Solana were responded to very quickly, advising they had been shipped.
Upon opening the package, and removing the gloves,
I was unable to unzipped them, in order to try them on. It seems this is an inherent problem they have yet to address. They are being returned first thing Monday morning. I would strongly suggest anyone anticipating placing an order for any of their items, first, read their customer reviews.

The vest was too small so I contacted customer service to exchange the vest for a larger size. The young lady I spoke to was very accommodating and handled the exchange information in a professional manner. I was pleased with her assistance. I have not received the new vest and I did not try the battery pack on the smaller vest. My rating is only for the professionalism of the customer service professional I spoke with. I do not know how this vest performs and I bought this vest based on recommendation from a friend and her husband who wear their vests fishing in the Gulf of America and they love their vests. Fingers crossed!

Sizes are running a little small. Ordered X Large and received both (2) as was the order placed. Tried the vest on and found them a little snug and a little hard to zipper. Gave the 2 vests to relatives and ordered 2 2-XLarge vests with power cells. Fit great and feel comfortable and easier to zip up. Have not worn the vest as of yet but the power cells are charged and ready to go. So far, Thanks and a pretty good price and timely shipping period.

The company doesn't give the refund even if they receive the item back. In my case they kept item for a month, not giving the refund. Without tracking number and without conformatin from the post office they will not give the refund for returning item. Bad business!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! They are a borderline scam, I wish I’d read more reviews before my purchase.
Received the wrong size and when I called to exchange it they offered a “discount” on the incorrect one to just keep it as well as a discount on the new one I requested in the correct size. I figured I’d use the wrong size one as a Christmas gift so accepted this. When the second one arrived it was also the wrong size, and when I requested to return they immediately tried to do the discount thing again to which I said no I want to just return. To which they then went on to explain their absolutely insane and antiquated return process which basically costs half the price to send back (customers expense). I ended up just keeping both despite them not being the right ones and decided to cut my losses rather than follow up for another month. I wish I could give zero stars, but one will have to suffice. I did find a great one online for slightly higher price with great return policies (which i didn’t have to utilize because I received the correct size!) so please for your own sake do not give these scammers your money!

I was over the moon with my choice of heated vests from Solana Gear for my son and his wife. They loved their Christmas gifts living in an area that gets quite cold in the winter especially. However, the sizing was off. One needed to be returned and I needed another size ordered. I can’t say enough about how excellent the customer care was! They got back with me within 24 hours and my initial customer care rep was very helpful in telling me what the process was. My next customer care representative that reached out to me was beyond amazing! Riley was just the sweetest, most compassionate, caring, understanding associate I have ever worked with. I mentioned my family had to go out of town for two birthday celebrations and that I could not return the items until the following week. When my son returned the vest and had the tracking number, I submitted the information and specified that it was to go to RILEY ONLY PLEASE! I was blown away! In no time I received an email from Riley asking about my family and the birthday celebrations. I always felt as though I was a special customer, as the messages were ALWAYS warm, endearing, so kind, very professional but so polite and truly kind, almost as if I were a member of the family!! It was the most pleasant message I could have possibly received. Then came the icing on the cake, the new vest was on the way, I had a tracking number, all of the necessary information I would need if I had any questions and needed an order number. I had the phone number, email address for Riley and the message closed with the most heartfelt words thanking me for my patience, when I was the one that needed to say thank you to Riley for the patience with the delay due to the birthdays. I do not usually give reviews, but this was the exception. Riley was excellent at customer care, but more than that, I could feel the kindness and care that was poured on me! Riley, you are gifted at what you do and I cannot thank you enough for helping me and my family with such awesome and amazing customer care!!
