This company stole my money. Bought a metacycle preordered 2-3 years ago. Still no delivery. No contact with customer service unless it’s to collect a fee. I want a refund. Just give me my money back.

Buy a bikeshop branded ebike. You get the service you need and support your local economy.
Definitely agree with so many others. Support is non-existent. Actually had a response from someone, then their invoice would not allow for the completion of the order. Followed by crickets. So frustrating to have ebikes in your shop that provide no support.

Won't return a call or email. I think the entire company must have quit as no one responds. I have the same experience as everyone else. I have a quick question about a bike a purchased from Costco. I will now return the bike since i can't get a small part replaced. Costco tried to contact them also they said and couldn't get a response so they told me to return it.
They’ll take your money and not call you back
I put in an order for a metacycle. I started making $500 monthly payments, but the company didn’t respond to multiple attempts to contact them including voicemail. They won’t return your calls. I doubt if I’ll ever see the $1500 I paid into a metacycle.

I put down a deposit of $100 on a metacycle on 04/16/2021 and still no metacycle in sight.
NO Service-Bike arrived without brakes working
No Customer service -they do NOT respond to inquiries (New Fold XS arrival and brakes do not work and bent chain wheel).
I purchased a Sonders Fold XS in July 2023. Arrival time was great (about 10 days) but after assembling it, the hydraulic brakes did not work. No response from several Inquiries thru their website. Called 10 times and left 4 voicemails (only would get their voicemail). Someone did call back once and unfortunately i was not available. The person left a voicemail saying the best way to contact them is sending a message through their website (which as mentioned, they do not reply) and did not leave their name.
I had a professional bicycle repair shop review the bike and the brakes did not work because they had very little fluid and were filled with air bubbles. In addition they tested the gears and the chain would fall off particularly in 1st gear which was due to a bent chain wheel. They said the chain wheel was flimsy thin as well as the chain guard. Also, the front fork was not adjusted properly. Spent $160 for these adjustments.
Sondors unresponsive customer service
I have called Sondors customer service at 323-372-3000 several times and left messages for the last 30 days. NOBODY has called me back. I need to find out WHY my Sondors ebike battery, which was purchased from Costco gets drained so soon. Till today I haven't been able to talk to anybody at Sondors customer service. Costco shouldn't do business with such unprofessional vendors.

I have been waiting for a Metacycle for which I paid in full nearly 10 months ago. Of course, no one answers the phone at Sondors nor do they reply to emails or their useless online chat. At this point, I don't even want the thing even if they did decide to ship it. If Sondors does feel obligated to communicate with someone that has given them $7,000, does anyone believe they will take your call if there is a problem with their products? That is if this company is actually still in business. From my experience, this company has taken people's money and disappeared. Do NOT give Sondors a dime for anything unless you can take delivery on the spot!
Brakes did not work upon delivery and support does not respond
July 2023 purchased a Sonders Fold XS from their website.
Arrived in a week to Incline Village, Nevada.
The bike was not shipped in quite the same assembly as their video tutorial so was a bit confusing to assemble.
Called several times and pressed all 4 options including the Costco option and No one answers their phones (leave a voicemail response every time I called) or responds to service inquires through their website.
Eventually got it assembled but the brakes did not work. I watched Sonders brake adjustment tutorials but then learned this bike has “hydraulic brakes” and they don’t have tutorial for hydraulic brakes. Called again (a couple days later) and got voicemails; and sent another service request. I did finally get a call back but was not available to answer the phone. The person does not leave a name or return phone number to call back. Their voicemail told me it was best to submit a service request thru the website (which as mentioned, I did twice and no response). A week passes so
I scheduled a professional mobile E-bike repair service to look at the brakes. They told me that the brakes did not work because they were full of air.
Consequently he bled the brakes and there were alot of air in the brake lines. He had questions to ask Sonders since there was no info
on their website for hydraulic brakes. I kept calling Sonders support while he was working on the bike but no answer. He got the brakes working well.
-The technician then tested the gears and the chain would not engage or would fall off in 1st gear because the chain ring was bent.
He said it was a cheap chain ring b/c it’s thin & flimsy.
He easily bent the ring to straighten and gears worked fine but said for me to be careful not to bang chain guard as that too is flimsy.
He also found the front wheel was loose so tightened it by detaching the foldable handle bar stem and loosening the bolts to tighten the silver metal stem with #10 allen wrench). Said it can’t be too tight or too loose as the stem piece pushes down on the fork.
-also the throttle is too sensitive / dangerous as it easily pulls a wheely when barely press on it.
He said the quality was similar to a Rad bike - not great but fine for the money.
Repair bill was $167
No customer service
Email customer service many times but no response.
Called 2 times a day for 1 week straight, nobody answers just voicemail say to leave name and phone number for call back but nobody ever call back. Customer service is completely a joke.
Scam
After waiting more than a year and over 10 months past the delivery date while they had over $3600 of my money. Getting new eta’s over and over I finally asked if they had a real eta and not just a random guess. There response was you will get an eta when we get them to our warehouse. So I asked for a refund and after that they won’t respond to any of my emails or phone calls for the past 5 weeks. I can’t believe a business could do this to there customers it is shameful. Scamming people out of there money.

I ordered a Sondors Step on a special offer they sent by email. I placed the order and put in the special code required to get the discount. I hit the next page expecting to see a breakdown of the discount and shipping charges, the next page actually placed the order. I have tried cancelling the order on their website and it did not work. I have called four times and left messages and still no contact, I have sent two emails trying to cancel the order, no response.
They charged an extra $300 for my purchase. The confirmation page said the ebike will ship in 7 to 10 days, one day after the bait and switch purchase I received another email saying the bike has shipped.

They promise products, accept deposits, never offer them for delivery (in Europe) and fail to respond to endless repeated requests for reimbursement of the unusable deposit. Don’t go near these people.
2 years - no bike & no refund - terrible
I ordered and paid $5000 for a MetaCycle in Nov 2021. I have paid for the $700 shipping in Feb 2023. Now I get zero reply to my emails and phone call. Today the Sondors customer service person answered the phone but told me she could only email accounting and that is all she can do.
Terrible, poor quality of the bike and of their service
I bought a Sondors smart-step in February from a guy who won the bike at a TV show. Never heard of the brand before, but thought that a brand new ebike for a good price could be a deal. It has been a nightmare. Ever Since the beginning, the battery had issues charging. It blacked out completely on a morning on my way to work, which turned my day in an ordeal. After a back and forth with the Company to try in vain to fix the issue over the phone, they sent me a new battery. Funny thing is it started also having issues after a while. Moreover there were mechanical issues, the front forks of the bike were wiggly and unstable, the whole bike is too heavy. In time I realized that, despite it theoretically being a "mountain ebike" a few weeks riding in the roughy NYC roads had already partially displaced the rear wheel. Then finally at the end of April, the bike blacked out again. Again, long afternoon on the phone trying to fix it. Result: bike unfixable, I had to send it back to them. They initially said that they would send me a brand new ebike. Now it has been more than a month that I am without bike, they're not communicating with me. Some guy named Grant has been sending me voice recordings that I cannot access because I am supposed to have an account which I don't have.
In the end I am quite shocked that this Company even exist. The quality of their bike is so poor. Their attempts to fix things over the phone an utter failure. The bike seems poorly structured, full of all kinds of flaws: hard to ride, uncomfortable, unreliable.
Beware of this Company and of their e-bikes.
