Poor communication
Poor communication on their part when we remortgaged meant a payment from the old mortgage went out that was unexpected. We then have to wait a week for a refund. They got the job done, but not to a good standard of customer experience.

Terrible communication.
Wanted copies of multiple documents which I already sent.
I asked for a copy of our invoice and I am still waiting a month later for this.

We used sort legal to complete a mortgage to pay off our help to buy. Mahenoor was excellent, she responded to any issues/enquiries straight away and progressed everything quickly, professionally and competently. EXPECT IT TO TAKE MONTHS
Tooks nearly two months to process a remortgage, costing us over £1000 in additional payments
I'm not sure Faiza could have been more unhelpful if they tried.
Need multiple copies of iDs, then rejected signatures on documents despite having both a passport and driving licence.
Waited 6 weeks to ask us for documents relating to our new build despite the hold up being related to the registering of our new build! Had the audacity to say they didn't realise it was a new build.
Took a week to then confirm and sign off once all the documents had been agreed and acknowledged.
They also seem to schedule emails for right at the end of the day so you are unable to answer.

We also understand that new build properties can involve additional Land Registry complexities, which can sometimes affect timescales.

Currently dealing with them and after being successfully 'onboarded' via their portal we then received an email stating this was not indeed the case.
Was then told (rather rudely imo) to send numerous additional ID documents via email which feels unsafe , feels like an interrogation!

Challenging Legal process
I had a very complex transaction as I was on both the selling and purchase end of the legal process, which was very stressful. Annie, Ria, and Millie were so efficient in making the transaction succeed within a limited deadline. No question was too much trouble for them to resolve. They picked the phone each time, explaining and supporting me throughout.
I am using them for another transaction and would highly recommend sort legal.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Abbie and Lisa throughout the whole process. Both were extremely helpful and friendly, and whenever I called, one of them was always available to answer my questions promptly.
Lisa was exceptional from start to finish. Her communication was outstanding, she kept me regularly updated, and she was always quick to respond — especially when dealing with third parties. She really helped keep everything moving smoothly and made the whole process far less stressful.
