Waited over three years for the chess board I backed and it never came. I asked for a refund and was sent an EXPIRED visa gift card instead of, you know, being refunded. I'm blown away by how awful this company is, and how deceitful they've been throughout the development of their products. Never backing a product again after this awful experience, and staying far far far away from Square Off.

I've also heard that the few people who did get a board have had nothing but bad experiences with their boards, including warped boards and mechanical malfunctions. Pathetic. I hope this company goes down in shambles.

Jeu automatique, les pieces qui bougent toutes seules, j'en revais. Je l'avais vu en financement participatif il y a quelques années.
Dispo sur Amazon à 1500€, beaucoup trop cher.
600€ sur le site officiel américain, et livraison en France possible.

A coup de promo via newsletter et de code promo trouvé sur le net, je finis par tomber a 450€.

Commande passée debut decembre, on m'annonce une livraison début janvier.

Début Janvier pas de nouvelles, je leur fait un mail et on me réponds "fin janvier".

Je décide de faire des recherches et tombe sur cette page, autant dire que j'ai pris peur.

Je demande donc un remboursement, on me répond livraison fin janvier.

Je les ai donc spammer, à coup de 10 mails par jour pendant 3 jours, et j'ai finalement obtenu mon remboursement.

Dommage, le produit faisait rever...

I got the SWAP after waiting for 2.5 years or so. Fair to say that the pandemic caused unexpected delays indeed. The board seems to be well constructed and so far it is working decently. Although it has happened that a couple of times the robotic arm is out of calibration and the fix has been either to upgrade the firmware or to ensure that you have a good internet connection right when the device is being turned on. I see a lot of potential with this product if they increase the reliability. Its sort of fascinating to see the pieces moving by themselves :D

Since more than 4 years I waited vor the square off chess board. Nothing happened. They only had apologieces. Now, Miko bought the company. What changed? Nothing! Miko sells the boards now instead on their store while telling us we have to wait. They got a lot of money from a lot of backers. They are not loyal to their customers. I am tired of waiting. Never will I buy again anything from those company’s.

Ich habe meine Bestellung im November 2022 aufgegeben. Ich kontaktierte hello-at-squareoffnow.com im März 2023, sie antworteten und verschoben die Lieferung bis September. Der September kam und ging, ich habe sie erneut kontaktiert, und sie haben die Lieferung bis Ende November 2023 verschoben. November und Dezember kamen und gingen. Keine Lieferung und keine Nachrichten. Im Dezember habe ich sie erneut mehrmals kontaktiert und warte immer noch auf ihre Antwort...

Terrible! Waited over three years for the chess board. Once it finally arrived, the surface warped. I was promised a replacement. It’s never arrived. I’ve asked for a refund and no one replies, they just close my support ticket. They should be fined for being so terrible and lying to customers.

Beware! It’s a scam company. Paid for a chessboard but never got my order. Lost hundreds $. Stay away, I wish I checked the reviews back in early 2023 :(

Warte ebenso seit vier Jahren auf mein Board. Inzwischen bieten Sie uns einen Spielzeug Roboter als Ersatz um wahrscheinlich wieder eine Zuzahlung / Gebühr abzurechnen und nichts zu versenden.

Ea handelt sich wohl um einen riesen Scam!

I backed this product 3 years ago as a kickstarter and waited those 3 years to get my board. I had it for 2 weeks before it became faulty back in July and i was told that I had a years warranty so I could return the item and get a replacement and like many others the expected delivery date kept getting pushed back until they stopped responding to me altogether. It has now been 2 months since they last replied to me so now I am out over £200 and no signs that I will ever get the board i waited so patiently for. Absolute disgrace of a company and I do not advise anyone to place your trust in these people. Keep your money safe and avoid this company at all costs!!

Placed order for 2 boards early October got an expected delivery date of 13 November...then an email 27th October informing me that the order was delayed. Now 22 December no further updates I have sent messages via site but no joy.

i have ordered full price a grand kingdom set on the 21th of November 2023.
I have well received a email with the receit but...no news since. i can even track my order on their website saying that there is no shipment yet.
they are well organised, they even send you multiples email proposing waranty for the product.
Waranty company that i had on the phone and are also a big scam.
i emailed them several times but no answer at all.
i will fill a complaint with police obviously.
it is shamefull to act this way.
SQUAREOFFNOW is just a very good scam.

I wish I had read the reviews here earlier. I placed an order, my credit card was charged but no order confirmation and no customer support. Nothing!

seit knapp 4 Jahren mit dreisten Lügen vertröstet.

like the board (neo) although it isnt perfect.
the problem is the app i payed to upgrade to the premium it charged my card but didnt update.
several emails have been sent to customer support not one single reply shocking.
avoid like the plague

Severe delays on deliveries and lack of assistance

This company needs to keep its promises regarding delivery dates and responding not ignoring repeated emails. By replacing my non functioning swap board as promised
