From the very first point of contact I felt at ease. Any nerves just disappeared and I knew that I had made the right decision. Mr Guy Slater made me feel like nothing was too much. The whole process of arranging my Gastric Sleeve operation was painless and the aftercare exceptional.
Mr Slater was reassuring and honest with me from the initial consultation, listened to me and gave me realistic expectations. He made me feel so comfortable I booked my procedure the same day. Mr Slater performed my surgery and I could not have asked for a better recovery to date. My only regret is that I wish I had been brave enough to have had surgery many years ago.
I cannot express my thanks to Streamline Surgical enough and would highly recommend them if your considering weight loss surgery.

My experience with Streamline from start to finish has been excellent. My surgeon was Shaw Somers and the care from him and his team superb. I went in to my surgery fully informed and completely supported at every stage.

I had a gastric sleeve with Nick Carter at Spite Havant mid June 2022 and it has been a decision that I have been thankful for ever since! The service from Streamline has been amazing and Nick Carter is a lovely surgeon who made me feel at ease from the first consultation and I truly felt like I was in the best hands.
My post op recovery has been straight forward and with the regular planned appointments and helpline if required, I have felt confident and supported to trust the process and it hasn’t let me down!
Currently almost 5.5 stone lighter and feeling amazing, I am excited for the future…I would certainly recommend anyone thinking of bariatric surgery to use Streamline :)

The 2 years aftercare has been amazing, my dietitian wrote to my GP to arrange my regular blood tests to check my vitamins were all ok, fully informed throughout the whole process and nothing left to chance

I am now 12 months post opp after having a gastric by pass. I was very nervous about having this done. 12 months on i have lost nearly 12 stone and my life has been transformed. Having had a lifetime battle with my weight I finally did something about it! It hasn’t been easy but it is genuinely the best thing I have done for my health and for my self esteem. From the initial feeling of finely talking to someone who understood and made no judgement, through the care and support, to finally being able to be in control, I have absolutely no regrets and only positive things to say about having this procedure!

I’m 5’ 4” and was 23 stone 12 lb. Reckon I was as wide as I was tall. I’d put on 2 stone during the first lockdown. I was on the NHS path already for bariatric surgery but with covid that waiting list got longer. I approached Streamline and it just felt right. Shaw Somers was my surgeon and in July 2020 I had a gastric bypass.

I had no choice over the actual hospital due to the pandemic and I wouldn’t go back to the Clementine Churchill hospital for a number of reasons. However Shaw Somers made me feel as at ease as I could pre surgery. The anaesthetist he used was excellent. They both were interested in making it as smooth and as painless as possible. I was lucky and had no pain at all. Shaw Somers has kept in touch over the last two years which I needed for reassurance but it was Lauren, the dietician, who has been my saviour post surgery and then more recently the lovely Nicole. They are both helpful and friendly and so reassuring which is absolutely necessary. I have lost 10 st 9 lb in total. I go up and down a pound or two and feel amazing. I can walk, I can move, I can dance, my confidence has grown and I’m still learning about me which is ridiculous at 53 but I’m new. Thanks Shaw Somers and team. I couldn’t do this alone. You’ve literally saved and changed my life.

Absolutely first rate and can't recommend them highly enough. From making my initial enquiries to my discharge 2 years later (the after care is spectacular), every member of the team has been so professional, caring, and approachable. My surgeon, Mr Somers, put me so at ease that I was able to talk openly with him about ally hopes and fear ... which is something you should be able to do when considering surgery! I was 54 when I underwent surgery, with a BMI of 43.6, I was unhealthy and very unhappy. Two years later, after a 98lb weight loss my BMI is 22.7 ... Streamline literally gave me my life back, and a future that I can now look forward to. Thank you.

This is my 2nd review as its been nearly 1 year since my surgery with Nick Carter. I can only say that this operation has literally been life saving , I have had regular checkups with my doctors and now have no signs of diabetes and my cholestral is under 3. I recommend having the 2 year after service as you have the Dietician in my case George ringing you every couple of months to check up and its a good time to ask questions that could be important to you. I have lost 6 stones and have never felt so heathly and well. I can't recommend Streamline enough so if you are thinking of having the operation just ring them and ask questions, you will not be dissapointed. Thank you Streamline.

I thoroughly recommend Streamline Surgical, especially George Hamlyn Williams. From day one George took me through the whole process of Saxender and how it could work for me. The level of attention and care by George including arranging blood tests, which incidentally highlighted a couple of things which had not been picked up before, and his medical knowledge has been second to none. George is a great motivator and I feel very lucky to have George mentoring me. Also, my weight loss has made me so confident again. Thank you George.

I had surgery in July 2022 with Marko Mlotshwa and he was amazing. I felt so at ease with him, he was so positive throughout and I was so calm because of this. It was amazing that he had such a great outlook on it. He informed me throughout and was just such a friendly face. Honestly feel I couldn’t of had a better matched surgeon!

Highly recommend him! I have the tiniest scars where he was so delicate- truly just amazing work. Him and the team at Nuffield Guildford where just amazing through and through. Couldn’t of had a better experience if I tried. Aftercare has been great, he has called me directly twice which I wouldn’t of expected (assumed it would be a nurse) and appreciated he took time out of his day to speak to me. Any concerns I have had he has been there.

Mr Somers carried out my gastric bypass a year ago. It has completely changed my life (currently 8.5 stones lighter).

I am more confident, mobile and have a much more positive outlook on life. Regular zoom meetings with George (dietician) have been invaluable.

I had my surgery with nick carter back in august 2019 all through the start he was lovely made me fill at ease. I do not remember anything from the day of surgery to a month or so after as the a couple of day after I was rushed to hospital with sepsis I had had a leak and was put into a coma I partner said that nick had poped in but was of on holiday the next day so dr somers came in and checked on me I was pumped with drugs one day I was getting better the next I may not make it so scary for my family . But made it with the help of the nhs . I did try to contact my Dietican a few times in covid as wanted some support but with no contact made I lost a little but not what I was hoping I think maybe with having the sepsis it may have expanded the stomach with all the drugs that was pumped into me to try get me better little disappointed with this lose .

I recently had gastric sleeve surgery through Streamline and cannot fault the experience I have had. My surgeon - Mr Guy Slater was so kind and understanding and explained everything in detail. His expertise has meant that I have had a very smooth recovery and I am feeling great. The whole Streamline team are very helpful and efficient - the nurse, Anne Marie called me a few days after surgery to check everything was going OK and I have several appointments booked in with the dietician, Alison - both have been very helpful.
I also cannot fault The London Clinic for their excellent care, the hospital is very clean and comfortable and all the staff are friendly and helpful.

I cannot give Mr Somers and his wonderful team enough praise. Exactly a year ago I was over 7 stone heavier than I am today. It’s not been an easy journey (as no bariatric surgery is) but it’s the support and genuine care that has been given to me that has made it so much easier.

The staff at Streamline respond quickly to any concerns and always carry through on their promises to get back to you. It’s joined-up care at its best.

Most of all I feel that I’ve benefited from the genuine care and empathy that Mr Somers has given to me when I’ve been asking for help from what I’ve experienced as a shameful and misunderstood condition.

Prior to contacting Streamline Surgical, in particular Mr Somers, I felt I was not a part of the living world any longer as I was suffering physically and psychologically having gained some 35kg in a pretty short time. I battled with it for many years not knowing what to do. I felt stuck. Consultation with Mr Somers gave me an incredible hope but above all I trusted his gentle manner and detailed explanation of available options and his advice. His expertise combined with a mild manner helped me begin the journey. Now, some 14 months after the surgery (band) I feel alive again, I do not only like but love myself again and equally importantly my weight has reduced (gradually and carefully), from 104.8kg I managed within one year to reach my lowest of 76.8kg and am a healthy, happy mum and grandma. I cannot thank Mr Somers and his team enough for all the care and support on this challenging and emotional journey. Without them I would still be "stuck". I highly recommend Mr Somers, the band surgery (which was perfect in every way with minimal pain, fast recovery and excellent aftercare), and Mr Somers' team.
