Attraverso il sito carjet.com abbiamo prenotato un’auto presso questa agenzia, con richiesta specifica di una Nissan Qashqai E‑Power.
Il voucher, tuttavia, non segnalava chiaramente che la sede operativa di Street‑Rent a Car si trova al di fuori dell’aeroporto e che è necessario attendere sul posto l’arrivo di un loro incaricato per il trasferimento all’ufficio di noleggio.
Giunti in sede, abbiamo scoperto che il veicolo prenotato non era disponibile e che non vi erano auto di categoria equivalente (elettrica o full‑hybrid). Ci è stata invece consegnata un’Opel Grandland diesel, con sedili sporchi e un evidente odore di tabacco. Abbiamo accettato l’auto soltanto perché non c’erano alternative e l’orario era ormai tardo: ci attendevano ancora oltre 220 km da percorrere.
Al nostro rientro, abbiamo constatato che Street‑Rent a Car aveva addebitato circa 40 euro in più rispetto alla cifra pattuita con CarJet, motivando tale differenza con un costo assicurativo che avevamo già saldato al momento della prenotazione online. Dopo la nostra contestazione, il personale ha reagito in modo sgarbato, invitandoci ad allontanarci e rifiutando di accompagnarci nuovamente in aeroporto, nonostante fosse buio e la zona fosse trafficata.
Un’esperienza complessivamente molto deludente, sia per la scarsa trasparenza nelle informazioni sia per la condotta poco professionale del personale.

Alquilé un SUV en Tirana y la verdad fue una experiencia excelente. Todo salió tal cual lo habíamos coordinado, el auto estaba impecable y casi nuevo. La atención fue de diez, súper amables y rápidos en la entrega. Me lo entregaron exactamente en el punto acordado, sin demoras ni vueltas. Súper recomendable, sin dudas volvería a alquilar con ellos.

We hired a car with STREETs cars in Orlando booked for 19:00. We arrived at 19:45 (due to the wrong information given on how to find the transfer bus and how to find STREETs "office").
We arrived at 19:45 but due to there being only 1 person at the desk (we were next in line) and taking 45 minutes to sort them out, we missed a 1 hour deadline (that was not disclosed) and so the price went up 250%.

We landed in Salta with our voucher and invoice to be told the booking had been cancelled and they didn’t have any cars. I rechecked emails and my booking via the link given and the booking was still showing as valid. The phone numbers given with the booking and by the girl in the office didn’t work. The girl refused to try and call the office for us or help in any way.
I would say never use this company ever.

Bait and Switch Stay Far Away
This place is a flat out scam easily identified as a bait and switch, don’t rent from this company. I rented a car for my wife to use while she was visiting family in Tampa Bay. I used Priceline who forwarded me to “GoRentalCars.com” I paid $245.00 and selected to use my own insurance. The trouble began when my wife arrived and right away noticed a lot of unhappy customers. There was one agent free and when she approached her my wife was told that she was only helping customers without a reservation and my wife would have to go to the other agent who was busy having a conversation with another customer who was obviously unhappy. Even though she was next in line, it took her over an hour to get to the counter to be served. She showed the voucher from GoRental and then was told that she needed to provide proof of insurance. My wife’s insurance app wasn’t working for her so she called me I knew she would need proof of coverage and collision but was totally unprepared for what happened next. The agent told me my collision coverage was acceptable but instead of the state minimum I would need $300,000 liability. I have rented cars all over the world and this was the first time I had ever heard of any rental place asking for this. I asked the agent why they required liability at all especially 3 times what the law required she said that it was policy. Here is where the bait and switch comes in - she said they would be more than happy to cover the difference with their supplemental insurance which was only $75 a day with a $300.00 deposit. That is crazy, who would pay that? I told my wife to step away from the counter to a place we can talk.
Thankfully I had used a third party app to arrange the rental so I called GoRental.com who, I want to say, did the best they could do with this situation. Their agent told me that the requirements were on the voucher. I told her that I saw the requirements and thought I met them I told her they said my collision was okay but for some reason they wanted 300,000 liability which of course I don’t have without it they wanted an extra $75 a day plus a $300.00 deposit. She read the requirements and told me that I was right they were not on the voucher. I told her I wanted a full refund and after talking to her manager they agreed to do that. I hate to think about what would have happened if I hadn’t used the third party, I probably would not have gotten a refund.
My wife noticed a lot of people leaving upset and talked to another customer who also complained about insurance. I am going to do what I should have done the first time, call Enterprise or Hertz. Never again will I use a travel app to book a rental car.

Absolute Katastrophe!
Kleineres Auto als bestellt, wollten noch abkassieren, obwohl schon bezahlt. Das Auto an sich dreckiger als jede Müllhalde, alle gelben Warnleuchten, die verfügbar waren leuchteten auch - auf Nachfrage wäre das alles normal und korrekt in Mazedonien. Auto war zugeparkt - mussten im strömenden Regen den Herrn bemühen doch mal die anderen Autos beiseite zu fahren. Tank fast leer. Resümee: Streetcar - Never again!!!

I used the Street rental company in Marrakesh. Deniz Tours. Scammers, They charge for the debit card under some pretext (they said our credit card is not working but is was not thrue). They tried to extort extra money for imaginary damages. Also for cleaning the car. They cheat on everything. Why doesn't DiscoverCars remove them from the offer. There are tons of similar reviews about them on the internet.

“Economy Bookings & Street Rent a Car: Failure to Deliver Paid Service”
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the rental car service I recently experienced, booked through Economy Bookings and handled by Street Rent a car.
Despite having a confirmed booking and fully paid rental (including insurance), I lost a total of £170 due to an incredibly rigid and poorly managed service. My flight was delayed by just 15 minutes, which caused me to arrive slightly later than anticipated. Upon arrival, I found the rental office completely closed, with no representatives or instructions available.
I’ve tried calling on the support number that was given on the voucher but no answer, so after 45 minutes I’ve decided to leave. When I contacted ‘Street Rent a car’ the following morning, I was told that they typically allow a 1-hour grace period for delays, but in this case, there were no cars available due to overbooking — a practice that should never occur when bookings are confirmed.
This situation is completely unacceptable. Not only was I pressured through multiple emails to buy insurance, but in the end, I was left stranded late at night, with no car, no support, and no refund. This experience was both frustrating and financially damaging.

SCAM - Street Rent a Car Malta
Booked a car to pick up on 20th April for 10 days for myself and my 6 year old boy. I've rented cars for years and have never had such a bad experience.
Upon collection I was told that I had 2 options. Either I pay an additional €295 to bring the deposit held on my card down to €400, or I pay around €1200 in order to bring the security deposit down to £0. I explained that nowhere on the terms and conditions state I need to select this and if it is mandatory then why is this extra charge not included in the price at the time of booking. I also explained that I was more than happy for the full security hold of €1400 to be placed on my credit card and that I was happy for any damages to be paid from this, however they refused to release the car to me unless I chose either of their options.
Having read other reviews, I suspect that they may have overbooked and were trying to put me off taking the car I had booked.
I could not afford to pay the additional costs and they refused to give me a refund so I got in touch with STREET RENT A CAR who got in touch with the Malta office and they LIED and said that I refused to put the security deposit on my card so they gave me 2 other options which I declined.
This left me having to use public transport to travel to and to get around Gozo.
This company also use the name SURPRICE, CARGINI, CARWIZ and NEXACAR. PLEASE DO NOT USE!!!!

Es ist wirklich die schlimmste Erfahrung, die ich machen durfte. Ich habe mehrmals in unterschiedlichen Ländern ein Auto gemietet, da ich sehr oft reise. Doch solche respektlosen und unfreundlichen Leuten bin ich bis jetzt noch nie begegnet. Obwohl uns bei der Anreise in Larnaca im Büro bestätigt wurde, dass wir das Auto bei der Abreise später zurückgeben und unser Hotel von dieser Firma min. 1 Stunde entfernt ist, haben sie mir am letzten Tag im Urlaub 3 Stunden vorher!! geschrieben, dass ich das Auto früher zurückbringen soll. Da wir am letzten Tag noch Pläne hatten und man im Urlaub natürlich nicht ständig auf sein Handy guckt, habe ich die Nachricht viel später gesehen. Als ich sie gesehen habe, haben wir uns sofort auf den Weg gemacht und versucht, zur gewünschten Uhrzeit dort zu sein. Wir haben uns durch den Verkehr 15 Minuten verspätet. Kurz bevor wir ankamen, erhielt ich die Nachricht, dass die Polizei verständigt wurde und das Auto als "vermisst" gemeldet wurde!!! und man unsere Kaution in Höhe von 900€!!! abgebucht hätte. Als wir ankamen, war ein älterer Herr vor Ort und hat sofort angefangen uns anzuschreien, er wollte sogar auf uns (2 junge hilflose Damen) losgehen. Er hat behauptet, dass wir nur gekommen wären, weil die Kaution abgebucht war. Wollten ihm erklären, dass wir einen Rückflug haben und was wir sonst mit seinem Auto tun sollten, als es zurückzugeben, aber er wollte uns nicht glauben. Er hat uns schließlich diesen einen Tag noch zur Rechnung gestellt und ohne weitere Diskussion den Betrag abgebucht. In dem Moment haben wir erkannt, dass das ihre Betrugsmasche war. Da wir aber zu unserem Flug mussten und schreckliche Angst vor diesem aggressiven und gewaltgeneigten Mann hatten, konnten wir nicht weiter diskutieren. NIE WIEDER! Würde es niemals jemandem empfehlen. Bleibt fern von dieser Firma!!!

BOOKING NOT HONURED
We made a confirmed booking for both a van and a car with Street Rent A Car for our Easter holidays back in January. The full payment was made at the time of booking, and we received a confirmation email verifying that our reservation was secured.
Upon our arrival at Malta International Airport, we proceeded to the Street Rent A Car office. When we got there, we were met with a long queue of visibly frustrated customers, and even police presence on site. After waiting for approximately an hour, it was finally our turn to be served. However, the representative, who was both rude and dismissive, informed us that neither of our reserved vehicles were available.
Despite showing proof of our confirmed January booking, we were told there was nothing they could do and were advised to seek rental vehicles elsewhere. This was completely unacceptable, especially considering we were traveling with two infants and two elderly family members. We weren’t alone in this – there were at least 10 other customers facing the same issue. It became clear the company had significantly overbooked and was failing to honor confirmed reservations.
Eventually, we were told that a vehicle might be available, but only if we agreed to pay a mandatory insurance fee of €60 per day – a charge that was never mentioned anywhere on our rental confirmation or voucher.
In our attempts to find alternative transportation, we contacted other rental companies at the airport, but due to the busy holiday period, no suitable vehicles were available. We were further informed by others that such practices are common with this company, which operates under multiple brand names from the same office, including Street Rent A Car, Surprice, Carwiz, Cargini, and Nexacar.
We have since filed a complaint with the Malta Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA), the Malta Airport, and the local police. It is deeply disappointing and unfair to confirm a reservation, take payment, and then fail to provide the service – ultimately ruining our holiday. With no other choice, we had to return to the terminal and take a taxi, which was a disheartening start to what was supposed to be a joyful family holiday.

This was a terrible experience once I rented the car for $114.02 days before I’m ready to pick it up. They slapped me with another $50 for whatever. Then I get and rent the car and they tell me I can’t use my own car insurance I have to buy theirs which was $250. I will never rent from them again and I advise you if you’re thinking of it to make sure you know what you’re getting. I’m also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Ordered a KUGA “or equivalent” and they did not have anything comparable but refused to refund the difference.
Also paid for automatic but given a manual despite issues with my ankle.
The woman in the office was horrendous. Too busy texting her friend and charging her phone.
Took two hours to pick up the car!

Worse experience ever at Puero Montt airport. Booked a VW Amorak but received a stupid Chinese wannabe bad car. Pickup inefficient and took 1,5 hour. On return the desk was closed! So dropped the key.
