I was looking for a new suit for a wedding and Kerin was on hand in the shop with her expertise helped me pick out a suit quick and easy. Wonderful experience

I came in with a friend of mine to buy my groomsmen suit for his wedding. The vast majority of the staff were incredibly helpful except for one member of staff who swore at the groom and stated he was “lucky only women work here” when he asked to try on different pairs of shoes. Implying if there were male members of staff that is would warrant what? Violence?
The groom also left a complaint about his experience and was offered an apology by the manager and a free jacket. They then asked that he remove the review, and when he explained he was happy to update it and reflect the action that had been taken, but not remove it; they reported his review about the language used by their staff members for “innapropriate language”. I find the whole situation incredibly unprofessional and given the £277 i spent on my suit aswell as the thousands of pounds spent by the grooms party, I would expect a better service and reaction to staff misconduct.

I visited the Bishop Auckland store yesterday the lady Kerin was very helpful. She also made the purchase of my suit quick and easy, i will 100% used again.

Visited the Colchester store today, for my cousins wedding suits fitting. Great shop and stock, but even better was Faye who assisted us - what diamond and asset to SC. Really helpful, accommodating, friendly and clear. I'll be returning there for my work day to day suits I reckon.

1 Star – Zero stars if I could, purely down to one staff member being threatening, using foul language and terrible complaint handling

My groomsmen and I visited Suit Culture Colchester to get our wedding suits – this should have been a fun, memorable day out together ahead of my wedding, but it turned into an awkward, upsetting experience we won’t forget for all the wrong reasons.

From the start, I was confused to be told all suits had to be paid for from one single bank account, with no option for my groomsmen to pay individually. I asked questions to understand the process, which I thought was reasonable, but the attitude from one female staff member was shocking.

We paid to hire a fitting room for two hours to try on suits and shoes – trying a few pairs of shoes is standard at a wedding fitting, it’s what you expect to be able to do. When I was looking at a third pair, this staff member actually said: “I will quit my job if you try another pair of shoes on” (with foul language in that sentence that I can’t repeat on trust pilot), while rolling her eyes at me. When I decided to go back to the first pair I’d tried, she gave me filthy looks the whole time.

Later, when I apologised to the other lady for seeming confused earlier, saying I just hadn’t understood the payment rule – she was kind and said it’s confusing for 9 out of 10 grooms parties, even for them. But the rude staff member then turned round in a threatening manner and said to me: “You’re lucky that only females work here” – which came across as an outright threat, and completely intimidated me.

It killed all our good spirits straight away; the whole mood turned awkward and uncomfortable for me and all my groomsmen.

I phoned head office straight away to complain, before we’d even received the suits. They refused to refund our deposits, saying it had been over two weeks since I first collected suits for myself and my son – even though they hadn’t even started making our new order yet, so I couldn’t even take my business elsewhere like I wanted to.

Worse still – nothing was done about my complaint. No apology, no explanation, no confirmation they’d taken any action about the staff member’s behaviour at all. The store is covered in cameras so they have all the evidence to back up exactly what happened, but they’ve chosen to ignore it.

I’m leaving one star only because the other staff members there were absolutely lovely and helpful – this rating is no reflection on them at all. But this experience was unacceptable, unprofessional, and ruined what should have been a special day with my friends before my wedding.

Since this encounter I’ve received two calls from suit culture. The first call I was told they would be taking action against this member of staff and they sent me a free blazer from their store. The second phone call they asked me to remove my complaint from here. When i asked what action was taken toward this member of staff I was told “we have had a staff meeting and a talk with her to make sure it never happens again”. I’m still awaiting a call back from them to discuss things further about removing my review.

This is a repost as my last complaint got flagged as I used a word repeating the langauge I was given of the member of staff so I have removed that word now.

First of all, false information shouldn’t be shared, as nobody brought any of my items to my car. Me and my friend solely brought all of our suits to my car whilst one of your team members opened the shop door for us . Yes I did feel threatened which I explained way before I picked the suits up when I tried to get a refund but you refused. And yes of course I was happy and polite with the staff because if you read my review right, every other member of staff other than the one in question were lovely and helpful. I received the second phone call asking what could you do in order for me to remove my review, I said to offer me some compensation, I didn’t seek this was asked a question. “Everybody should have the right to leave a review” but you make phone calls to ask to remove the reviews, isn’t being very professional if you ask me. I have these phone calls recorded also. On those phone calls I’m told “it doesn’t sit right with any of us, how you was treated”, but now what I say doesn’t match up? Whoever is writing this knows everything I said is true because there are cameras all over in suit culture. So please don’t leave false information. This reply to my review has made my feelings ok suit culture that much worse. Unprofessional, untruthful and very very poor customer service from head office.

Was my first visit to Suit Culture Colchester today Tuesday 4th August. I retired 4 years ago and had wore a suit on a daily basis, so this was my first suit purchase since then.
I sew the suits online and could have easily done an online purchase, but you never knew exactly the sizing and quality you were getting.
So I drove the two hours from home to Colchester, and I’m really happy I did.
The suit centre itself is professionally laid out , plenty of free parking.
Then you are greeted by two very smart young women with a lovely smile and a warm welcome.
The young lady that helped me was called Faye , not sure of the other young ladies name.
Faye was very professional, obviously knows what she is doing and took the time to make sure the suit I picked fitted perfectly, I was also extremely impressed with the quality and price , in London you could easily pay double.
Would highly recommend this business and wish them all the best.
Hopefully one day they open up a Suit Centre in Kent

My Fiancée & myself came into the Elmstead Market store on Sunday 26th July and was greeted by 3 lovely ladies.
Very relaxed feel about the place, didnt feel rushed in the slightest.
We didnt have an appointment- just turned up to have a browse. However, Laura in particular made us feel very comfortable and popped us in a gorg wedding suite! We felt chuffed!
Allowed us to try on what we liked & answered all the questions we had. Previously went to a few other mens suit shops & I can safely say Suit Culture is a 10 out of 10!! Not only for the customer service but the quality of suits is next to nothing.
We look forward to returning later in the year with the remaining men.

I went in to the Colchester branch earlier today to get my suit for my daughters wedding, my daughter had gave me a list of everything I needed 😂 From the moment you walk in their is a very cool and chilled vibe about the place and ALL of the staff are friendly and welcoming without being over powering, they are spot on with their service!!!! I’d like to give a particular mention to Faye, who looked after me from start to finish. I’m not your average size, but Faye made me feel comfortable and relaxed from start to finish and her knowledge and ideas were invaluable and made the whole process very relaxed and easy to do!!!!! It’s a massive 10/10 from me for Faye, the other staff and the shop, the whole experience was simple, and both pain and stress free!!!!!!!

Amazing suits! Great value for the quality of suit. I recently got married in Cyprus and required 5 suits for the wedding party.. at short notice. This being no issue for Suit Culture Colchester. All various sizes required and everyone was impressed with their suits. Id visited other suit shops but nothing is the same.
Then the service provided by Iris was outstanding, more than helpful, and helping with recommendations. All other staff I had brief encounters with more than helpful and friendly!
Would 100% recommend and will be using again in the future using the online service which I also used previously, Quick and easy also!

Ordered a suit at 2.30pm on the 22/7/26 i messed up the delivery options when ordering dropped them a message on facebook they had the suit delivered to me at 9am on the 23/7/26 unbelievable service & much appreciated thank you!
