Zero customer service at Hervey Bay

Customer service at the Hervey Bay store is zero. Clearly a guy who should not be front of house with a manner that would be best suited working a night shift when there are no customers. I’ve used Supercheap as my first go to for years. Needless to say, I won’t be going back. Supercheap you need to retrain some of your staff.

Impeccable service delivery - Rotorua store

The service delivered by expert staff namely Carmen, and Ron at the Rotorua store of Supercheap Auto NZ was simply impeccable. Carmen was multi-tasking and she was still able to assist me with finding new bulbs for our car, and she assigned her colleague to conduct the fitting of them. Great service from beginning to end. Incorrect Stock Listed on Web

Good morning, I’ve experienced a service issue with your Toowoomba stores.
I researched a Gator Dash Cam and your web site showed that both stores had in stock, one listed as ‘Low’ and the other (James Street) listed as ‘In Stock’. I made the effort to get to the James Street store only to find ZERO stock. They sent me to the Toowoomba South store to find the last one with a ‘Display Box Only’ sticker on it. The box contained the item I was after, BUT it had been opened so was actually could be either used or soiled stock! A sealed box with the original seal intact is the guarantee of a new, unused item. It was missing here!

I didn’t get the product I’d originally traveled into town for, that is a brand new unopened product at the store that I was told by your company where stock was held. I had to travel further than planned and accept (if I wanted the model I was looking for) a soiled open display item.

No extra discount for a this was offered and no apologies were offered. This has soured my interaction with Supercheap and will colour my actions when next I need something for our cars or caravan as there are a number of other similar outlets in Toowoomba I could go to. To make things worse, I rechecked the James Street stock when I got back home about an hour later and it was still showing as 'In Stock. VERY misleading!

The supercheap store in Singleton…

The supercheap store in Singleton ordered a part that was in stock at cessnock, I drove to cessnock 4 days later to pick up the part, not available. The staff member had put aside a part from a different manufacturer.
Results was a waste of 2 hours.

Went to enquire for a replacement…

Went to enquire for a replacement battery for our car. Turned out they had none in stock n would have to order it.

Went back to our car only to find couldn't start the car, battery was stuffed.
Went inside to ask for a Jumpstart.....
Got a "Sorry we don't offer any assistance". WTAF, You're a fkn mechanical supply shop.

Mislead in order delivery date

I ordered car parts and was told it in stock and will be ready to collect in 3 days.
10 days later when I called I was told the supplier forgot to pack my delivery but it will be there in 2 days.
Today I was told the container got delayed and will take 5 weeks to clear.

Morayfield Shop, don't waste your time. Employees could not provide me with the information I required in order to choose the correct part for my vehicle and was denied to contact the area manager. Incompetent and unprofessional.

Liars & thieves!

I paid $45 for a normal H11 headlight globe which is $10-15 more than needed. But that is not the most serious problem with this product or Supercheap Auto.
The light this globe produces is so dim that it is dangerous to use and clearly is not as advertised. Supercheap has been getting reviews pointing this out for at least four years now. Their response to these reviews is always to say that it will pass on the feedback to their quality control department and thanks for helping us improve.
Yet they continue to sell this product robbing their customers and putting lives at risk.
Boycott Supercheap Auto.

The most useless faceless business…

The most useless faceless business slack as!, took my money never delivered the product, got a massive run around on a refund, never got my money back...!! useless! I will never shop with supercheap, I would say they are the worst auto store there is, not one person working there can help in any way.. wasting your time just walking in the door.

I went to the Lower Hutt Wellington, Alice town branch today to buy parts and other other items. The gentleman who served me Joshua I think that's his name was very professional. Not only was he very patient in catering for my need but extremely helpful. I was really impress with the service he and his manager provided. Thank you. Harooj

Stock level OK on website. Nil stock holding only discovered days later.

Order from warehouse (?) to store. Order number PLU SPO8251517. Raised 26th January 2025. (Sunday, Monday was a holiday). Stock level said they had the part, a 3inch "U" bolt type exhaust clamp.
Estimated day of delivery was Thursday 30th January.
Thursday came and went. Friday afternoon I get a call from the delivery store to say the part is unavailable in Australia, and it must be ordered from overseas. That will take FIVE months, and requires a minimum order of 50 clamps. The fact that the guy I spoke with couldn't decide how to refund my money, plus I had MAJOR issues understanding his speech.
Why call me on the Friday to tell me there was zero stock? Wouldn't they know that WHEN THE CLAMP WAS ORDERED? Or ws it only ordered on the Friday?
NB Supercheap has since refunded my purchase price, But that still leaves me with a car in bits expecting delivery of the part. Now I have to order another from a different supplier. (Which as it happens CAN deliver it (but now too late) and the product quality is better.

Misleading Price Match Policy, Horrendous Communication & Denial of Request Based on Unsubstantiated Criteria

Using the Supercheap Auto Web Chat portal on the 29/01/2025, I contacted a representative seeking price matching. I provided the link to their in house product offering and an equivalent item from Catch of the day; the price difference was substantial ~$500 AUD vs ~$67 AUD. Immediately, the worker was looking for reasons to dismiss my request. Citing the exclusion of "market place" sellers from this policy to wit; I rebutted this reasoning with direct and contradictory quotes from their own criteria for the Price Beat Guarantee program. The representative conceded that I was right and admitted that Catch of the day "market place" items ARE in fact eligible. I thought this was fantastic and enthusiastically asked how to proceed with the price matched checkout process, my excitement was misplaced as despite the half an hour of conversation that lead to this point the obfuscation and semantics had only just begun. The representative then proceeded to in the space of a further 30-45 minutes, send irregular responses with new excuses to deny the price match: to which I concisely argued how the criteria had not only been met but exceeded.

Regardless this was to no avail and I was essentially fobbed off, lazily telling me I can go in-store (Inconvenient due to my location and work hours), call the support line (Sit on hold for great lengths of time) or direct an email to their customer care address. I have now conversed with easily 5-6 different support agents, with zero consistency in who responds to me. (Note: how can I expect my case to be handled diligently when the agent addressing me is constantly changing?).

They continue to fail to address my reasoning as to why the product fits the criteria, completely ignoring every point I have made and citing "policy" that is not advertised to the public on any of their documentation entailing their price beat guarantee.

Please note: Despite being extremely frustrating, I have strived to maintain my composure with all support workers; while they continue to provide minimal assistance and zero valid justification.

Appalling customer service after damaging my car

Having previously had good customer service at the Labrador store before I was shocked at the appalling way I was treated after they damaged my car during a brake light installation.

It took over a month of multiple emails and phone calls to sort out and over ten people involved in the process. To say it was very poor communication is an understatement.

I am well aware that mistakes happen and wasn't overly upset about my light cover being broken, I just wanted the damage repaired.

Instead of apologising and fixing the issue promptly, I was treated with hostility and it was even suggested that I was lying about the damage. This was after the manager had picked up the broken piece off the ground where my car was attended to. So they indeed had full knowledge it was their fault.

Their CCTV clearly showed the technician breaking the light cover and yet they sent an email saying they claimed no liability and tried to make me sign a waiver before the damage was repaired giving up any further claims.

The store manager Ian needs urgent customer service training as I have never felt so badly treated by someone in retail in my entire life.

Head office customer support were not much better in their handling of the issue. There was no apology for the poor handling of the situation at all.

Their customer service complaints and processes need to be investigated and improved.

Never will I go back to Super Cheap Auto again and I suggest that if you get any sort of service from them that you video record the process because good luck trying to get them to fix any damages.

Do not order through their website!!

Strongly suggest to go into the nearest physical store. Their website is unreliable. Made the mistake of placing an order through their website and they lost my order they I had opted for click and collect. I was asked to wait for 3days before I can go into the store to pick up my order even though their website state that click and collect orders will be ready for pickup after 30min of placing the order.
The online support was even worse. I was told that the order#, that was from the email receipt their system sent, was not in the format they were expecting.

I would strongly suggest buying your vehicle parts and items either through Autobarn or Repco. Their customer service online and in store are always awesome. They always make sure their customer always receive they help and support they need at all times. Supercheap need to learn from them.

Online purchase experience gone very sour...

I did purchase an item online and forgot to collect it. The store lost the item and couldn't find any traces on the system of what happened to the item. I would expect online stores to have auto cancellation and auto refunds for uncollected items after certain period of time but SCA really gave me a hard time to receive my refund. I'm actually surprised I finally received it. Also SCA advertises about their oil recycling service. However at the store I was told they don't recycle oil but dump it in the red bin inside a plastic bag and directed me to do like that. That's what they do anyway. Very irresponsible. However I went to Autobarn where I learnt that council recycles old engine oils for free at the tip so that is much better option.
The bottom line is if you can find your needed items elsewhere I would highly recommend. Autobarn has very good customer service and Repco also has better customer service than SCA. I don't know what keeps SCA alive since they are a way below the bar.

I was looking for paint and called 4…

I was looking for paint and called 4 different stores with 4 different prices.
One store wanted to charge $48 for 300grams of paint.
Look elsewhere people,the supercheap auto we fell in love with is dead! They should change their name to "superexpensive Auto".
I ended up finding paint for $35 per can elsewhere.
Tack cloths are $10 for 1 at SCA and the same paint shop it's $2.50 per cloth.
Trade and club plus are a complete joke too,absolutely useless!

Order break pads online 2 weeks ago and can't get any sense out of this mob as to why they haven't arrived.After contacting the Mill st Hamilton store where I ordered them,I was told they had no record of it and I needed to contact the Brisbane branch to find out what had happened.
SC Auto is an absolute joke and a waste of space.If you need to order online,I'd suggest you go elsewhere as trying to deal with these idiots is a major frustration

All I wanted was a sump plug washer.
Order paced on Sunday (I know, nothing happens on Sunday) but Tuesday already and item still not couriered from Supercheap dispatch centre in Otahuhu.
Phoned the Customer Service centre - a misnomer if ever there was one - which was in Australia. The 'customer services' individual was completely disinterested in offering any assistance in helping me get my ordered part and made it quite clear that he couldn't care less.
But that's ok. I get to exercise my options and I choose not to deal with Supercheap again. There are many other customer oriented businesses happy to oblige.

In general terms I like super cheap…

In general terms I like super cheap auto. But the length of time their SCANZ app is a God dam pain. It's as slow as my grandma and she's dead. It can never find parts. It's basically only good for cleaning and painting and things like that. And tools as well. But as a parts department with online search.BLOODY HOPELESS! SORT THAT APP OUT. HOW LONG DOES SOMETHING NEED TO BE BAD BEFORE IT GETS SORTED.

Supercheap needs to employ people who…

Supercheap needs to employ people who can order the right parts. Not just half. They have a computer system that tells them. And they stuff it up. When you go back. They say oh what do you want to do. Order the right parts dumbass. Sorry special order. So have to wait another 5 days. No car while waiting. He'll no went to Repco. More expensive, but they got it right. Email supercheap and they still don't care.
