If only the hardwood parasol had a securing tie...
If the hardwood parasol had a simple tie to secure the parasol when folded down I would have given it full marks. Bearing in mind this is a premium product it really ought to have come with a securing tie.

Excellent quality garden furniture
Very professional, helpful and friendly couldn’t do enough to make sure we were satisfied. Furniture top quality beautifully made by skilful workmen and built to last for many years. Delighted with our experience would highly recommend and will certainly buy from them again. Especially comfortable a pleasure to sit on.

Payment headache
Was looking for sustainable products, but got a headache instead. Payment went through with my bank but Sustainable Furniture are insisting they didn't receive it and telling me to place a new order. Now having to deal with the fraud team at my bank. Very disappointed as I would have liked to find a sustainable seller I could trust.
Update: Almost a month later after going through the dispute process they confirmed they did in fact receive the funds and will return it. Despite the payment being made on their website, it was apparently an "unusual" method.

We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating payment issues can be.
To clarify, we did not receive the payment into our account. When you contacted us, we immediately investigated the transaction and confirmed that we had not received any funds. To prevent any possibility of you being charged twice, we cancelled the pending transaction from our side and advised that a new order would be required if you wished to proceed.
As the payment never settled into our account, we were unfortunately unable to fulfil the order or issue a refund ourselves. Any funds showing as pending or cleared on your banking app would need to be traced by your card provider or bank, which is why we recommended contacting them for assistance.
We appreciate that this situation was disappointing and apologise for the inconvenience caused. However, at no point did we receive your payment, and we took immediate action to ensure the transaction was cancelled on our side as soon as the issue was identified.
We wish you all the best in resolving the matter with your bank and are sorry that this experience prevented us from serving you as a customer.

Non delivery despite several emails and…
Non delivery despite several emails and calls. This company was ill served by DX couriers and I sympathise with their plight. We were drawn to this business due to their sustainable ethos, unfortunately we were disapointed by the logistics of their courier, who also failed to reply to customer service queries about the delays. Good staff at Sustainable Furniture eventual realised that DX were never going to deliver. I received an apology and full refund. A shame all round.

Firstly, we would like to sincerely apologise for your order not reaching you. We completely understand your disappointment and share your frustration with the outcome.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, the shipment was lost within the DX courier network. To try and resolve the issue, we arranged a replacement and dispatched a second order, which was also subsequently lost in transit. Throughout the process, we remained in regular contact, providing updates as soon as we received information and doing everything we could to achieve a successful delivery.
When it became clear that the courier was unable to fulfil the delivery, we promptly issued a full refund and our apologies. While we accept responsibility for ensuring our customers receive excellent service, we are disappointed that circumstances entirely outside of our control prevented us from completing your order despite our best efforts.
We appreciate your recognition of our team's communication and customer service throughout the process. Situations like this are extremely rare, and we continue to work closely with our delivery partners to minimise the risk of similar issues occurring in future.

Lovely Teak table
Great choice of tables only. Ordered large round teak - expensive but absolutely lovely table and stand. Packaged and protected well, delivered on a pallet FOC in a few days. Delivered up my drive by an excellent Palletex driver. Very happy with product and company.

Cynical attempt to get us to accept incorrect order
At the beginning of April we ordered (with some difficulty as there was no cover for the Easter period at all) a 6-8 seater outdoor table without a parasol hole. I expressly asked that this was possible and it was agreed that a table without the hole would be made for us. Apart from waiting until mid May for the order to be delivered, the delivery turned up with the holes and we were told on the doorstep! The idea that nobody would tell us in advance that there had been a huge mistake in their supply to the warehouse BEFORE the delivery was sent out is clearly a cynical attempt to get us to accept the delivery with the holes in both the table top and central lower bar. A mistake that we eventually accept responsibility for and which our carpenter will have to attempt to fashion a circular bung to close up. Or send the table back and have no replacement until the summer is over! Fabulous. Really, this is the worst way to do business. Apart from anything else this makes this company unreliable. So we have a delivery. But not what we were promised. And not what we paid for. Make your own conclusions.

We are very sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience, and we completely understand your frustration regarding the parasol hole issue.
When your order was placed, we did agree that the table would be supplied without a parasol hole, and unfortunately, a manufacturing error occurred at source, where the parasol hole was still applied to the table. We fully accept that this was not what was originally agreed.
Your order was placed on a pre-order basis for May delivery, which we fulfilled within the agreed timeframe. Regarding communication over Easter, our team were taking a bank holiday break. We try to answer as many calls as possible whilst out of the office, but this is not always possible, however we do remain contactable via email and respond on the next available working day.
Once we became aware of the issue, we made the decision to still deliver the table so you could see it in person and decide whether you wished to accept it, rather than cancel the delivery at short notice and leave you without a table for the start of the season. We appreciate that you may not agree with that decision, but it was made with the intention of giving you an option rather than further disappointment.
We also offered to arrange a specially manufactured replacement table without the parasol hole on our next shipment; however, we understand you decided against waiting further. To help resolve matters as best we can, we have agreed to send reclaimed teak so your carpenter can create a matching bung for the lower support bar. The tabletop itself is already fitted with a flush wooden insert for the parasol hole, with only the lower support bar remaining visible underneath the table.
We genuinely regret that this situation occurred, as it was never our intention to mislead or inconvenience you. We do appreciate your feedback and will be reviewing how manufacturing changes and customer communications are handled moving forward.

I love the quality and shape of the…
I love the quality and shape of the Aster Adirondack chairs and the extra money for the Teak was worth every penny - beautiful timber and really nicely made. Stainless steel fittings with a lovely snug fit.
Delivery was fast and we have lovely new chairs that should last a good 50 years.
