I have shopped at Suzy Shier, Ottawa St. Laurent location, for many years. I have never been disappointed with their service or their choice of style and selection of clothing. This is my first time writing a review, and I should have done this long ago. However, I really wanted to shout out the store manager, Tiffany, of the College Square, Ottawa, ON, location. I attended her store on a Saturday, and immediately, she made me feel welcomed and helped me pick out some outfits. Even when she was busy with other customers, she assisted me in in making selections I was trying on. Thank you! Tiffany, for making my fist time shopping at your location such a great experience! Suzy Shier has the WORST policies and customer service I have ever experienced!!!!!! I spent almost $1000 at your online store. I purchased online because when I go to the store at Tsawwassen Mills, I never find my size. I am either a XS or a S. The sales people said they only receive one XS and one XL in the delivery truck. So I bought everything full price online. But by the time the order arrived, all the dresses I purchased were on sale! Egads! I returned the ones that didn’t fit. I wanted to return and buy back the others that were now on sale. Your employees said I wasn’t allowed. When I mentioned why I bought online, they joked, “Well, now we will have your size in store! Haha!” But I am not allowed to buy them! It almost seemed like they were prejudice. That is really bad, and I am tempting to report your company to the BBB. I was willing to spend money and give you business and you don’t want it? Is my money really not good enough? Why am I being punished? Unfortunately, I liked your products, but will not recommend your company to others. I do recommend Mountain Warehouse, Petal Lush, April Cornell, Winners, Marshals, Fairweather, Garage, even Ardene's. There are so many other places. I'm glad I found other companies that sell equal or better products. Goodbye Suzy Shier.
Pathetic customer service..imply that customers are liars
Poor customer service. If it was possible to give negative stars, I would have. The lady claiming to be the "manager" has a terrible attitude over a matter of refund. She kept insisting that there was no way a cashier earlier could have told me a particular item was refundable and that I was the one who had misinterpreted. So many other brands out there with comparable prices who don't treat their customers like liars.

Today I decided I wanted to try on some pants and tops at the Surrey Central location.
I have always received outstanding customer service from the staff in this store for over 7 years.
I asked if they had a larger fitting room, since I’ll be 69 on my next birthday and the smaller rooms are to cramp for me.
She politely took me to the larger fitting room.
I asked if there was a chair, she said no. There are no chairs.
I removed my pants, while trying to balance.
I decided, I’d put my pants back on.
I didn’t want to take a chance of losing my balance.
I then told the associated, “it’s impossible for me to try on the pants”.
She then started to make an effort to find a chair!
Somewhat to late!
My recommendation, is that there be a chair available for elderly and disabled customers.

The cashier Jane salesperson number326157 was quite rude and didn't bother to help me.
I am a regular customer here and in all my other visits the sales girls have been very helpful and welcoming.
Knowing the weather outside is harsh today my carrying bag was a little wet. Her concern was my wet bag instead of helping me out her behavior was very rude.
She needs proper training on customer service otherwise you will lose a lot of customers. Atleast I will never step into the store if she is behind the desk

Update: After asking weekly about my delayed order, they finally 28 days later, told me it must be lost and that they are going to refund my money. Then proceeded to tell me to go back onto Suzy Shier and order again. Why? You can not even provide any status updates or even provide what was purchased, why would someone go back and do the same thing again? Do yourself a favor, do not order online, if you have to, go into the store.
No communication and takes forever to get your order. I put my order in December 28th. Then later in January they refunded items because they all of a sudden did not have stock. Ok, this can happen, but I still have yet to receive my order and it is January 20th, and I even selected to ship to store. I will not order online with Suzy Shier ever again.

Made my on line order on Dec 4, reply was 3-5 business days. On Dec 18 sent a note to customer service asking if the address was ok as I have not recieved or heard anything. Response was " order shipped December 6 2022– Customers who selected Ship to Store will receive a separate notification from the store to confirm that the package is ready for pick up once the store receives it. Shipping takes 5-10 business days once it leaves our warehouse. If you are not contacted by Dec. 21" Sent a note to customer service on Dec 22nd as I still did not recieved my order and the response was basically "don't know where your order is but we can refund your money". So basically 18 days after ordering and now 3 days before Christmas having lots of opportunity to avoid a potential issue. I was left with "sorry no item for you here", we are sending your money back you are your own bye. Thankfully, the young ladies at the STC and square one locations heard me out and found what seemed to be the only store in the city that had my item in the size required. However, it was a 2hr drive round trip which could have been avoided... if the on-line customer service actually provided customer service. But I get now, you just don't want my business, lesson learned thanks.

I ordered online and payed with paypal.. i wanted to return an item so i went to the store and they didn't want to return it as i payed with paypal .. they said only online. Doing that i found that i will have to pay 5$ fees to return a 17$ item !!!!!!!!!! Never again will i order from them online

I have ordered online with delivery to my New Brunswick store three times now, and each time I have had to call the store (after waiting and waiting for notification) to see if my order is in... which it is. They do not call and they do not send an email. This feels a bit sketchy to me. I verified my number the first time as they mentioned maybe they have the wrong number. It was correct in their system. Second time, I was puzzled. Third time? Realizing they just don't care.

Suzy Shier has cute, peppy, pretty clothes that are often on sale, especially at outlet stores and outlet malls. They have elegant pieces and cute things that can also be found at stores like Laura and Melanie Lyne. It's a well-known company with decent customer service. I'm not giving it 5 stars though because it's not AS excellent as some other classy stores, but it's pretty high up there!
