The travel staff were thorough and gave good advice for things that might improve our holiday. They were quick to respond as our plans developed. The paperwork was comprehensive and all the arrangements went to plan.

Knowing TMR had done the booking gave us reassurance that everything would work. We knew which platform to make for and then signage helped us find our seats.

The response from the team when we needed answers even when we were already on our journey. They were efficient and receptive to ideas and requests.

Everything was superb, since the beginning of the journey when defining the itinerary, routes, hotels, etc, we received excellent tips and suggestions.
The trip was perfect in terms of trains, hotels, and service provided.
We will continue resting in them for futures journeys

From beginning to end TMR were helpful and efficient. They listened to our requests and booked a great trip with rail journeys travelling through lovely scenery. All hotels booked were four star and very comfortable after a day of sight seeing. When our train was delayed in Italy which meant we would miss our connection, I was able to email them and within half an hour they had rearranged the details so we were able to take another train to make our final connection. I would thoroughly recommend TMR and will definitely use them again.

This is the second time I have booked with Katie at TMR and I would absolutely book a detailed itinerary via TMR again! Just returned from a week with my daughter visiting Paris, Barcelona, Lyon and a spot of lunch in Lille before the trip home. With TMR, it really is a tailored rail holiday so you can request the things that matter most to you- a sun terrace, first class travel or a hotel with a rooftop pool, a location near to certain landmarks, a courtyard room etc. TMR will do their best to accommodate requests! I have recommended TMR to friends and family and will continue to do so!

This was a major adventure holiday with many transitions and changes of accommodation - and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was typically really well thought out. The only reason for not giving 5 Stars was due to a few issues - but these were resolved very quickly.

Communication is great and input is always constructive when planning a journey. A very clear itinerary and instructions means you can enjoy the travel knowing the details have been taken care of. There’s a real sense of working together to get the best possible holiday. Highly recommended

The TMR team was there from the booking to the end of our trip, being professional at all times with any questions I had. TMR was there when the trains in france were cancelled and soon got us back on track.

The trip was very well organised. Dealing with the company in arranging the trip was very easy. Staff were very helpful and always responded to any queries very quickly.

All of the hotels were of a high standard.

There were no issues with any of the connections between trains.

Ticket pack was user friendly. The way the tickets were to be used was clearly explained.

I rang TMR one morning in early May. I explained what I wanted to do and within what time frame. That same afternoon I received an e-mail with a proposed itinerary which matched my stated requirements. Also included was a price, which included all tickets for the proposed railway journeys and all hotel stays on a b&b basis.

I accepted the quotation, provided some details (passport numbers and such), and paid the fee.
A few weeks before departure I received tickets, seat reservations and hotel vouchers. I had chosen to have these as hard copies, but I could have received them electronically.

On the appointed day we we went to our local station and started on the first leg of our journey, which took us to Paris as described in our itinerary. Our hotel was very close to the station and we were expected. The next morning, following a good breakfast, we set out for a different but nearby station to catch a train to our final destination of Mulhouse (change at Strasbourg). Once again everything matched what we had booked and our hotel, which was very pleasant, was expecting us.
After a stay of several days we returned home by the same route even staying over at the same Paris hotel. Once again everything happened as booked.

I am very pleased with TMR's service and would not hesitate to use them again.
It seems I am supposed to rate the product separately from the service, but in this case the service is the product, or the other way round.

On the whole the holiday was well organised. The trains were all on time. A hiccup with the second hotel which we were told was cancelled when we arrived because it hadn’t been paid for. We had paid all the holiday up front so were a bit worried. Luckily the manager at the Rex in Zermatt found us a room and said he would sort it with Tailor Made Rail which he did.
