Taxfyle makes the process of getting someone to do my taxes easy. However, I do think the accountants take a lot of cases on and you have to pay attention that they get the details right.

11 Weeks ago, I started a Job with this organization I had previously used. I mentioned I was an expat, but it wasn't a complicated job. They charged and allocated me a "pro" (laugh), but there was no news for 8 weeks. After eight weeks, I got another pro for two days, and another one. Then, I received a message telling me I had to pay a significant additional amount. It is where I am now. I have requested a refund for non-delivery (cricket...)

HORRIBLE. The tax preparer they assigned me told me I owed $34,000 in taxes last year. My entire income was around that amount for the year. This tax preparer a so called expert argued with me on chat for over an hour on a Saturday night stating I did owe this. The stress was unbearable. No one at Taxfyle available to help until the following Tuesday. When I cancelled their service, the firm stated I owed them for the job anyway. When a firm does not provide a competent service, how could you owe them? After hiring another competent accountant my taxes were $0 for the year. I am in process of going to small claims court against them.

This gotta be the worse customer service and the worse platform to file your taxes,I had an HORRIBLE experience and I won't suggest to my worst enemy.

I had a great experience with Taxfyle. I used to rely on other platforms that didn’t make me feel secure. Here, I had complete transparency and the ability to ask my pro any questions. My pro was very communicative, friendly, and professional. I found the pricing to be quite fair. I’m ready to submit another job for my tax preparation this year.

I bought a 30min video call with a tax advisor. The call happened as scheduled. Also, the CPA was very professional, and answered all my questions. I had a great experience and the price was just right 👍

The experience was very hand-holding; I dont know the first thing about taxes, and Taxfyle identified forms that needed to be filed and information I had to provide due to me being an immigrant even before I was connected with a tax expert. After being connected and providing the needed information, my tax return was ready and filed within a day or so. Very quick turnaround and got a bigger refund than I thought I would! Definitely recommend.

Made filing my Taxes way less stressful. Every year, I dread having to file my own taxes for fear of forgetting something or messing a form up. Taxfyle takes it completely out of my hands so that all I have to do is upload all of my relevant forms with income and the Pro handles it all. They even asked follow up questions to make sure I wasn’t forgetting anything. Website is also intuitive and simple to use.

My Taxfyle tax preparer worked at the IRS for 30+ years. He expertly adviced me on how to handle my situation involving foreign taxes. I owed way less money than I would have otherwise, and he reallly helped me straighten out my taxes.

I had some questions about sales taxes and bookkeeping for a project I was just starting, my pro was able to solve all my questions and even provide me with some extra tips that help me save some money during the year.

I submitted my tax documents through the Taxfyle app and within minutes of paying for the service, I was connected to my Tax Pro! I had submitted all my documents except one that I was waiting for from Robinhood, my Pro let me know that they would start preparing my return as far as he could while we waited for the document. As soon as I received the document from Robinhood, I uploaded it through the Taxfyle app and my Pro responded within a couple of hours and sent me a draft return to review. Once I accepted it, my Pro began to file the return and let me know what I owed.
All in all, the experience was quick and simple!

I felt comfortable knowing my taxes were gonna be handled correctly as it was being done by a Tax Expert. Onboarding was quick and easy.

Horrible Experience! I've had a BUSY year and needed help doing my taxes from 2023. I paid extra for bookkeeping fees. 1st person assigned to me said she was going to do it by October 15th when they were due.. said everything was going great. I stayed up until midnight waiting around and available to answer any questions, only for her to say sorry having internet issues, that she would submit my taxes as is then amend them later. Then she proceeded to ghost me for 3 weeks!!! I had to figure out how to get customer service to help me because no number to call... 2nd person assigned to me was nice but I had to do all of the bookkeeping myself because we were now in a super time crunch to have them amended by November 15th. Was super short with me and I don't feel like I got $1500 worth of work done when I had to spend my entire birthday weekend doing all of the bookkeeping myself!!! I complained and they offered me nothing but a discount for next year- NO THANKS. Completely stressful situation and not worth the money. If it was just one person, take my review with a grain of salt. But 2 people, and barely any communication? I paid more taxes than I've ever paid in my life- I am 40 and have always gotten a refund. Do NOT recommend.

** UPDATE 12/18/24 *** PISSED! I received a bill in the mail from the IRS saying I owed even more money for FILING LATE!!! Taxfyle promised that they filed it on time and explained that it could be amended so I wouldn't get fined. Now I owe $1500 more in fines thanks to their lie. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Uber for taking a person from one destination to the next in under 30 minutes makes sense.

Uber for business taxes does not make sense.

The tax pros are random and you have no idea who you'll get.

My pro had broken English and so that reduced my trust in their system.

She put the income on the incorrect line, and had other discrepancies.

She replied back anywhere from 2 hrs to 3 days later, so it was frustrating to wait.

I paid someone at TaxFyle to review her work and he said "looks good".

Then for this year I went to another bookkeeping/CPA firm and they had lots of questions on the 2022 return.

Perhaps it's the luck of the draw. Maybe you'll get someone good.

It was about 30-50% cheaper than my previous full service firm, but as a business owner I've had to step in and manage this one much more, I don't have much trust in the process.

I would give their customer support and account management 4-5 stars for quick responsiveness.

I'm not saying my bookkeeping and everything else was perfect, but they make it too easy to start, and when you're dealing with taxes the outcome must be perfect, so that's what this is being judged by.
