Very compatible software for both Federal & State. Ease of use after 10 years of using the software and brings data forward from year to year which is a tremendous help.

Software is great but we can still do better, web-based software can save us time if we can do a direct input on 1040 rather than going step by step on forms. year comparison and tax bracket rate of 15% etc on clients based on income. direct chat on troubleshooting on tax returns, when help arises and need. Business return and Partnership 1120S on Webbased than using 2 different software Desk top & webbased. Overall its great but need more tweak.

You still have not settled my numerous issues. It seems like it is very difficult to speak to someone that knows anything. I have asked for a $200 refund in email for your support people telling me to get an IT guy and I did not need one.

Aubrey is so knowledgeable about not only the software she sells but about the requirements a tax preparer must meet to be able to work as a professional. She literally saved my tax season. I would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase tax preparer software.

Very bad experience, I've been with Drake for 9 years and they offered me Taxslayer and I decided to change because I liked the fact that I could use it even without being in my office, but in the first days of the season they had problems with the system and I couldn't work and I had to cancel all my clients, Every time I have a question and I have to call technical support, they are worse off than me, because they don't know and they have me on a call of more than 30 minutes.
In order to help me setup my signature pad, 2 people had to talk to me at the same time and it took them more than 1 hour to do it and they always told me that it was not the right pad, when a technical support person sent me a link to order them and they told me that I had chosen the wrong one, Finally it worked but they didn't know how, I had to activate it. Finally decide to spend more and return to drake.

Aubrey was AMAZING! From start to finish. Told me exactly what I needed in order to sign up with my EFIN which I had never done before. Was there for any and every question I had. I would highly recommend her and your company again. Thank you!

Yesterday at noon, I was in a panic when the tax preparers who have done my returns for years were unable to help me, and I needed them done FAST. The only realistic option was to do them myself, even though I haven't done my own taxes in over 35 years! I was terrified.

After looking online at some different tax prep options, I chose TaxSlayer because reviews said they had the best support. Within an hour, my panic was replaced with a gratifying "Hey, I can do this". From their easy step-by-step process to the quick turnaround of my questions, I am now done!

I really enjoy using Tax Slayer. I love the customer service. I do wish they had software training that was more current.

DO NOT PURCHASE THE ONLINE VERSION IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FUNCTIONING PROGRAM.

I have been using TaxSlayer for the past few years, initially attracted by the convenience of accessing the program from anywhere. As someone who travels frequently, being able to connect to WiFi and access returns seemed ideal. However, I have encountered several major issues that are hindering my tax business operations.

1) The inability to e-file AMENDED state returns is a significant problem. I was not aware of this limitation when I purchased the software, and it only became apparent when I had to e-file multiple amended returns. The solution provided was to redo all the work in the desktop version, which is extremely frustrating.
2) Even if individual state extensions are mandatory, you cannot e-file them using the online version. Paper filing or resorting to the desktop version is necessary, although this information was not disclosed during the software purchase.
3) The software lacks the capability to prepare or e-file CITY business tax returns. I encountered an instance with an Ohio City return where I had to prepare the return outside the software and paper file it. Despite TaxSlayer stating that the desktop version is fully functional, this was not the case.
4) The desktop version is not user-friendly. It is perplexing that I have to guess where to enter information, and the representatives are sometimes unfamiliar with the business screens, hindering their ability to assist.
5) Although updates are released, the aforementioned issues were never explicitly addressed or communicated.

I have repeatedly requested to speak with the team working with the developers and expressed my interest in conducting a Zoom meeting during their end-of-year review of the software. Unfortunately, I have yet to meet with anyone, despite speaking with Tom Richards, who has been understanding of my issues and frustrations.

With over 18 years of experience as an accountant, I have never encountered such problems with other software providers like Proseries, Gosystems, Drake, or Lacrete. Being told to simply paper file a return whenever an issue arises is dismissive. In an era where AI accomplishes incredible feats, it is disheartening to witness developers taking weeks or even months to fix problems. I am both disgusted and saddened by this situation.

Now I must inform my clients, who were expecting their refunds, that the software does not support that process. I am concerned that the same NYC form filed for my clients last year may not have been properly submitted. This is a frustrating situation, TaxSlayer.

Software is easy to adapt to but the very best part is the customer service. Questions are answered quickly and help is always readily available!

Taxslayer has always been a great product. It gets better each year. And exceptional customer service.

Overall it's great. The desktop business platform is not user friendly at all. IT also had a hard time helping to use the application.

I'm a registered tax preparer and an ERO. We are two preparers in this office nowadays. My colleague is a CPA and former IRS agent. We strive to turn out a complete, accurate, and honest return for the client. I've bought TaxSlayer Pro twenty six years. I've seen TaxSlayer grow. I've seen the software become more and more capable, easy to use, and comprehensive each year. It's alway been good software for a preparer or larger office. The 2022 package, as it is each year, is the best it ever was anew.
