I thoroughly enjoyed my Camino de Santiago walking holiday and overall it was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to others.

The walking itself was excellent, although I would have preferred to start each day’s walk earlier in the morning before visiting tourist sites. I think this would have allowed us to walk while feeling fresher and more energetic, as well as avoid some of the warmer temperatures later in the day.

The hotels were comfortable and generally met my expectations. However, some of the food provided in the hotels was mediocre, and it would have been nice to have had a choice of meals rather than a set menu. Fresher ingredients and a little more variety would have enhanced the dining experience.

Despite these minor points, the trip was extremely well organised and offered a wonderful combination of walking, sightseeing, and cultural experiences. The Camino is a memorable journey, and I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday to anyone considering it.

Amalfi Coast, TD Active, stayed at Hotel Paradiso, Castellamare Di Stabia. Meals very very poor quality, quite unacceptable. Would not recommend. Also, there were 33 people in our group, so too many for a "walking" holiday.

Good weather ,great guides,exercise and great scenery made this a fabulous trip. The Hotel Alcadima was a great stay.

Our walking trip in Croatia was truly memorable. Our guide Zeljka was particularly pleasant, very knowledgeable, helpful and took great care of all our needs. The addition of 2 local guides for every hike meant all fitness grades were managed really well. The accommodation venues and the brief stopover visits were interesting and worthwhile. The hotels were well located, comfortable with very pleasant staff. All our transport was efficient and on time. The coastal scenery was spectacular and even the weather was kind. Overall a brilliant trip, very well organised and to be recommended.

Wonderful guide Natasha and great bus driver Eric. All the guides were excellent.

My India trip was an amazing adventure. While we visited the usual tourist hotspots we also have many sightseeing excursions, seeing the day to day life of India. Our tour guide Rahi’s knowledge on every monument, palace and temple was superb and very insightful. We also had city and village tours with local guides by bike and rickshaw which were also amazing. Rahi was an excellent guide, he was personable and attentive making my holiday very memorable.

We did our first TD Active holiday this year. I wasn't sure how a group holiday would suit us as we are used to planning our own holiday . We spent 12 days travelling around India ( Dehli, Jaipur, Agra, Dausa and Varanasi) as a group of 6 with our amazing guide Rahi. He made the holiday so enjoyable and he had extensive knowledge of everywhere we went. Delhi by bike in the early morning was terrifying and one of the highlights of our trip. Hiking in Jaipur, early morning yoga, and sunrise on the Ganges were all amazing experiences. Of course the Taj Mahal at sunrise was an experience I was really looking forward to and it did not disappoint. Rahi was a guide who adapted the trip to suit us and his restaurant recommendations were excellent. Thanks to Rahi and our bus driver Sam we were able to see so much more than if we travelled around ourselves. Rahi had everything so well organized in advance and we just had to get on the bus , arrive at an amazing tourist attraction with Rahi getting us the tickets , giving us extensive knowledge about the attraction and then arriving back to the bus where Sam would be waiting with the hand sanitizer and a bottle of cold water.
A trip of a lifetime with a guide who made it so memorable.

I Went on a trip to India 🇮🇳 which was just fantastic, from biking in Delhi to hiking in Jaipur then biking in Agra, getting to see the Taj Mahal for sunrise visiting farming rural families in their environment was an eye opener and a fabulous experience to Getting to the Ganges for Sunrise seeing pilgrims bathe in the ganges, I have to say i think alot of our experience was down to our Brilliant guide Rahi who was a font of knowledge about all the areas from Monuments and their history to restaurants, nothing was a problem Rahi went above and beyond to make sure we had a truly Indian experience which never disappointed and can faithfully say he pulled a few things out of the bag that I'm sure the usual traveller didnt get to see. Highly recommend this trip & I hope you get the same guide as us Rahi so thank you for making it a holiday of a lifetime to remember for me and yes Sam the bus driver was great too & always smiling😃

The India trip was interesting, memorable and very worthwhile. We went to Dehli, Jaipur, Agra, Dausa and Varanasi. We visited the monuments but also saw and experienced life in India at first hand on two cycling trips, one in Dehli ( an experience!) & one in the countryside near Agra & a return rickshaw drive in Varanasi ( again an experience!)
Our guide Rahi was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and always ready to answer questions. He was very tuned into the group and very helpful with practicalities. He was resourceful in tweeking arrangements and getting us into places which really made the trip more enjoyable.
A big shout out also to the bus driver Sam - a real gentleman!

My recent holiday in India was outstanding. We did the usual Golden Triangle but so much more. Not only did we visit the monuments but we cycled in Delhi (hair raising!), hiked in Jaipur, cycled in Agra, visited schools and homes and attended a cremation in Varanasi. The real highlight of our holiday was our guide Rahi. He excelled on every level, care for the group members, his encyclopedic knowledge of everything, his ability to gain access to places that were out of bounds and his likability. Rahi raised our holiday to a real experience of India. I absolutely recommend this holiday - if you are very lucky you will get Rahi too.

As always , the Travel Department organise extremely good holidays with great attention to detail..In my experience , the Guides are always excellent ..very knowledgeable and present from beginning to the very end of holiday...very available and very.helpful...

In this instance , I thoroughly enjoyed the week...crowd , Hotels , food etc. However , I did feel advertising this walk as Level 1....was not accurate...
In all , we walked 85 kms....some of that in 35 degree heat ! Maybe trying to fit too much in between city tour guides and Camino stretches..Alot walks quite uphill and taxing , particularly in the heat...

As I say , I thoroughly enjoyed it..It was beyond my comfort zone but I managed it...However , I woukd not sign up for a walking holiday again .

Had a wonderful experience on the TD Active walking holiday in Slovenia. Every aspect of the 7 days was planned and delivered professionally. Our guide Natasha, catered for the varied needs of 34 people so competently, making sure everyone got what they wanted from the holiday. I highly recommend using TD Active Holidays

A well organised holiday. Our guide Eric was great and as well as guiding us on our walks he gave us lots of information on the history, the geography and the plants of the area.

We recently did the Transylvania walking trip and we cannot recommend and rate highly enough. Radu Viorel, our guide was very professional, knowledgeable and treated everybody with the greatest courtesy and respect. He never failed to follow up with a query and was always courteous and helpful. He is a great ambassador for the tourism industry and his country.

Booked with the Travel department to do the Camino. First solo holiday, it was brilliant, everything organised, didn’t have to worry about anything. Flights, transfers, hotels, tours all sorted, would definitely recommend them.

Just back from a walking holiday in Slovenia, a very beautiful country with amazing landscapes and stunning mountains. We stayed in 2 centres, Bohinj and Kranjska Gora, everything was very well organized, hotels were clean and comfortable and the food offer was excellent. We had an amazing guide called Natasa who went beyond her duties in taking care of a large party of approx 34 people. We cannot rate her commitment and guiding skills highly enough. The holiday was so much the richer as a result of Natasa’s help and understanding.
