We had our wedding party hosted by Thames Party Boat, and honestly, it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I genuinely wish I could give 10 stars!
A massive shout out to Charlie, who supported me over the last couple of months in the lead up to the party. Her customer service was incredible. She was always so helpful, reassuring and on hand whenever I needed anything, which made the whole planning process feel so much easier and kept me completely at ease.
Chris was also absolutely fantastic. His support throughout the day was incredible, and he was so calm, collected and professional. He honestly knows his job inside and out and was brilliant at making sure everything ran smoothly.
DJ Richard was amazing and kept the vibes going all night long! He worked so well with us and made sure the whole schedule was organised perfectly around the boat. One of the biggest highlights was getting our family involved with the DJ and seeing everyone getting involved and having such a brilliant time. The dance battle was absolutely incredible and created such an amazing atmosphere. It was one of those moments we’ll never forget!
Hannah and Aaron were the most incredible bartenders. They kept the spirits high throughout the entire night and were so friendly, attentive and genuinely lovely. I honestly cannot fault their service. They were fantastic!
A huge thank you as well to the photographer, who was unbelievably busy the entire night capturing so many incredible moments. They were constantly moving around, making sure they didn’t miss a thing, and we are so grateful for the amazing memories they captured for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
And the catering was honestly AMAZING! We had a live BBQ on the boat, and after speaking to our guests, the jerk chicken was by far the dish everyone was raving about. The chef was incredible, the food was served warm, full of flavour and absolutely delicious, and the selection of salads was fantastic. It really added something special to the whole experience.
To everyone at Thames Party Boat, thank you so much for making our wedding celebration so incredibly special. From the planning and preparation to the atmosphere, food, drinks, music and service on the day, everything was beyond what we could have hoped for.
We had the most incredible time, our guests had an amazing time, and we’ll be talking about this night for years to come.

I cannot thank Grace and the entire Thames Party Boats team enough for making our private event such a success. I organised a cruise for 120 guests, and from the very first enquiry to the end of the trip, Grace was incredibly professional, patient, and supportive. She answered all my questions promptly and made the whole booking process stress-free.
On the day, the boat crew was outstanding—friendly, organised, and welcoming. They ensured everything ran smoothly and safely while creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for all our guests. The boat was clean, spacious, and perfect for our celebration, and the views of London from the Thames were simply breathtaking.
Our guests had an unforgettable experience, and we received so many compliments about the boat and the excellent service. Could do much better
Although overall we had a good experience, it was not up to our expectations.
We had ordered a beer pong table that was not provided
We had paid for security and DJ, the DJ was also the security person.
The DJ did not follow the brief and was eating from the food we purchased.
Toilets were not very clean.
Bar was not great and boat was old and worn out.

We take professionalism very seriously and the conduct you described regarding the DJ is completely unacceptable. We can assure you, and our future guests, that this individual is no longer part of our team.
Regarding the vessel, the boat actually underwent a full renovation last year to upgrade and modernise our facilities. However, we sincerely apologise that the cleanliness and presentation on the day of your event — particularly the toilets and bar setup — did not reflect this. This is certainly not the standard we expect from our crew.
Finally, we apologise again that the beer pong table was unavailable for your event. As agreed with your party on the day, we hope the equivalent value provided in drinks helped make up for this omission.
We really appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, as feedback such as this helps us continue improving the experience we provide for future guests. Should you wish to discuss your event further, please do feel free to contact us directly.

Absolutely fantastic Christmas boat party!
We had the most incredible Christmas boat party with Thames Party Boats — from start to finish it was faultless. Charlie who helped with the booking and organisation was outstanding. The boat itself was fabulous, beautifully set up and perfect for a festive celebration on the Thames.
The DJ was amazing, kept the energy high all night and had everyone on the dancefloor. The food was excellent, plentiful, well presented and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
What really made the experience special was the staff. Every single one of them was an absolute delight: friendly, professional, attentive and genuinely happy to help, which made the whole event feel seamless and relaxed.
Sailing past so many of London’s iconic sights beautifully lit up at night was the cherry on top and made it a truly memorable experience.
Highly recommend Thames Party Boats for a Christmas party (or any celebration!) — we couldn’t have asked for more.

What a shocker! Avoid!
Still can't believe how appalling this company is. Booked onto a Boat Party to cruise the Thames with 4 DJ friends and lots of their friends and family.
The boarding was chaotic, with no-one in charge or telling us which boat we were on, people barging into the queue with no control or security. To cap it all, the boat sailed off leaving half the DJs and 50 paying guests on the dock. Impossible to contact any form of customer service

We’d like to clarify that our company did not organise or sell tickets to this event. The boat was privately hired by an external promoter, who was solely responsible for ticketing and managing guest numbers. Unfortunately, it appears they oversold the event without informing us, which led to the situation at the pier.
We strictly adhere to safety regulations and capacity limits, and we would never knowingly oversell or deny access to valid guests. When we provide a boat, we carry out all necessary checks and clearly outline responsibilities around ticketing and capacity in our contract and terms & conditions.
We truly hope this experience doesn’t leave a bad impression of our company, as this was unfortunately outside of our control. Again, we sincerely apologise for the situation and appreciate you sharing your feedback.

I had a terrible experience with Thames Party Boats while planning my wife’s 40th birthday. I started organizing in January and after several discussions, paid a deposit to book the Hurlingham boat for late May. A few days later, I was told someone else had also paid a deposit for the same boat, and we were bumped. They offered us an alternative — Valula — and I agreed in good faith, signed the contract, and moved forward.
I spent weeks organizing everything else — booked a DJ, arranged catering, sent invites — all with the expectation the boat was locked in. Then, just weeks before the party, TPB called to cancel. Valula was “under maintenance” and wouldn’t be ready in time. That was it — no backup plan, just a cancellation.
It took over a week and multiple follow-ups just to get my deposit back. They referred me to other boat companies, but everyone was charging a premium at that point, knowing I was desperate. I had no choice but to cancel the entire surprise plan I had been working on for months.
The contract I signed turned out to be totally one-sided, giving them the right to cancel with no real protection for me. I didn’t share this earlier because I still hoped to pull something off for my wife. Now that her birthday has passed, I want to warn others: Be cautious before booking with Thames Party Boats. What should have been a joyful experience turned into a really stressful and disheartening one.

As a seasonal business with high demand, particularly from mid-April onwards, we strive to accommodate every request. However, bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and unfortunately, another client secured the original vessel just before your deposit was received. We informed you of this within 24 hours and offered Valulla as an alternative, understanding the importance of your event.
We always aim to ensure each event runs smoothly while minimizing disruptions for planners. Unfortunately, six weeks before your event, we were informed that Valulla required maintenance that would overlap with your booking. Since health and safety are our top priorities, we were unable to proceed with the vessel. As soon as we became aware of this issue, we sought alternative options and presented another possibility, but we understand that it did not meet your requirements. At this point, we had no choice but to cancel your booking, something we did not take lightly.
Once we received your bank details, we processed your refund within one business day, and you received it within five working days. While our contract includes cancellation clauses for situations beyond our control, we recognise that this does not lessen the disappointment or frustration you experienced. We are committed to learning from this and improving our processes to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
We sincerely appreciate your feedback and hope for an opportunity to regain your trust.

Improvements could be made
Staff members on the boat, with the exception of the bar ladies, were not very friendly and began eating in front of us the food we had paid for. Upon being asked whether all chicken served was halal, they replied that they had no idea and had not bothered to inquire. Prior to the party, they should be aware of the type of food served to the customers. The dance floor was sticky as soon as we went in.

Communication was poor on the night, there was an issue with the caterers, who were late - a lot of confusion and a stressful start to the evening. We also had this party in freezing December as our summer booking was cancelled by Thames Party Boats, there was no effort to offer us anything extra to recognise this failing on their part. We had been told we would sail to Greenwich, but went to Putney instead. The bar staff were excellent though and overall everyone enjoyed their evening.
