Bought these on impulse, I must say they are very tasty and meaty I do mine in the oven will defgo buy again
Great effort !!

We have bought Black Farmer pork sausages for several years and always found them tasty and good quality. Our local Sainsbury's doesn't always stock them and so it's been a while since we had them. However, I bought a pack a couple of weeks ago and the skins were so tough, we couldn't cut them, let alone chew them. I ended up stripping the skins off the sausages and eating the sausage meat on its own.
I don't know what you're using for skins now, but it's inedible. I note other customers have made similar comments in recent months. I won't be buying them again, unless you do something about the skins!

I recieved a voucher for a bottle of prosecco for my birthday unfortunately I tried to put the code in and it didn't work so after I had submitted my order I rang customer services however I was told I should have added it to my basket and because I hadn't there was nothing they could do. In my order we bought two flat iron steaks they were the worst we have ever eaten really tough and fatty. They cost us just short of £20 we couldn't eat it. I'm so sad we have always loved the black farmer produce but we won't be buying from him again!

I've just received my 2nd delivery of ready made meals. They are very tasty and convenient.
But what has blown me away is their Black Pudding which tastes as nice as it used to taste when I was younger. I rarely bought it because in supermarkets it's cardboardy and tasteless.
But not this. Wonderful old fashioned taste.

The new White City store is superb. The selection of produce is fabulous and fairly priced. The staff are attentive and warm. What a great addition to the area.

I ordered the Chicken and bacon suet pudding. Unfortunately it was nothing like the advertisement. While it was nice and I did enjoy it, the meat was minimal in comparison to the picture. This isn’t a cheap product and I would have expected it to be at least similar to the advertisement. It was nice, but didn’t live up to expectation.

I ordered a large gammon joint just before the New Year break for the first delivery date after for a large family gathering. I had excellent, courteous and charming assistance from Sophia, who rectified an address error I made promptly and made sure I received my delivery on time.

The gammon was super fresh, with barely any excess fat coming off - just the right amount to glaze and roast with honey and mustard after simmering on the stove. The ham was delicious, as was the stock. I would definitely buy again. Thank you very much, Sophia and Wilfred!

Oh Dear. Had tried to order a Black Farmer turkey via Ocado but they couldn't deliver so went direct.

Ordered a turkey and gammon from the website on 30th November for delivery on 20th December. Received a DPD tracking reference. On 20th received a text message saying they would deliver on 21st. This was then followed by a message saying they would try and deliver on 23rd December.

As this was not a guarantee, decided to cancel and then ended up going to a supermarket for a turkey.

Ordered a delivery for the 20th Dec. Order didn’t arrive, so phoned & explained, no ham , no rilletts. Was told they didn’t have the ham, the rilettes would be sent next week. Already received an Email to say order was on its way for said date. I placed this order on the 6th Dec 24. So they had plenty of time to address the problem. The items were of course for Christmas lunch.Hugely disappointed with this company, first time using, will not be returning. Feel have been treated really badly with no proper explanation. Just a ‘sorry’

I used the BF twice now, my latest order was okay, but very disappointed with the potatoes 1kg of small potatoes for £3.70 which only had 6 small potatoes. And 500g of big potatoes for £1.65 which consisted of two potatoes. I wouldn’t order them again, wouldn’t order the ready meals again very small ratio of meat to rice. But on a positive note the carrots, scotch bonnets, cauliflower & shallots tasted absolutely beautiful. So thank you for that kind sir.

Just had another Steak and Horseradish as well as a mutton Curry and Oxtail stew (over 3 days)

The steamed pudding was wonderful EXCEPT that the instructions do not tell you to remove the outer packaging. As many microwave dishes tell you to pierce the wrapping that was what I did. It caught fire. As I didn't fancy removing the black bits it went in the bin.

Fortunately I had another which was wonderful. Not a lot of horseradish so I supplemented with my own horseradish fresh from the garden to hot it up.

The Oxtail stew was wonderful - if a little light on the oxtail. Well cooked but as a lot of it is bone, it could do with a bigger container and a bit more oxtail to make it a satisfying meal. Loved the mutton curry.

I will definitely be reordering once Christmas is over and we have space in the freezer again

I love steak and kidney pudding and haven’t had one for decades. I had a hankering to try one the other week and found The Black Farmer website. I was excited as the photographs looked mouthwatering. I ordered 2 steak and kidney and 5 other suet pastry pies/puddings. Unfortunately, the day before delivery I was contacted by phone and informed that they didn’t have any steak and kidney puddings in stock. I was disappointed as these were the reason I placed my order. My order arrived, well packaged the following day.
I have just cooked my first pudding, Beef and Horseradish. I steamed it, as I don’t have a microwave. I am a bit disappointed. It didn’t have that nice suet taste that I remember from my childhood and it was a bit dry. I will definitely make some nice gravy to go with it next time. In my opinion there was not enough filling and gravy, although what was there was nice and tender. It didn’t taste much of horseradish and generally lacked taste and seasoning. This is my first order from The Black Farmer, and my first pudding. On my first tasting I am a little underwhelmed. I will give the others a try.

Really really bad the chipolata sauasges were the worse sauasges I've ever had the meat tasted really odd I've never tatsed meat so disgusting I won't be ordering anything from garbage again

Have used twice now and for me I would have to say this is a five star establishment. As a great lover lamb my family was extremely impressed with the quality of meat we received. Very well packaged and customer service is also great as I received a personal phone call when an item I ordered was unavailable. In my opinion this is a proper gourmet butchers and will definitely be using again regularly in the future. Highly recommended and top marks from me.

Unfortunately I found the pastry awful, it definitely doesn’t look like the photos, I messaged them and asked how to heat them and they replied as were the details on the package!! I explained that didn’t work and I got ignored. This was supposed to be suit pastry !!! Hard and we threw them away !!!!

Was the best supermarket sausage not anymore. Casing on the sausage has become tough and splits. Flavour lost it taste and now resembles a cheap own brand .

Ordered Beef fillet to trail the quality. Was delivered the next day and the taste and quality was perfection. Will definitely be using again.

I ordered 6 Caribbean meals and 2 dough breads
Ready meals were disappointing, hardly any meat on the mutton and oxtail , dough bread was nice but not firm enough. Sorry I won’t be ordering again , delivery was efficient and well packed

Just purchased 6 premium pork sausages, the casings were that tough and chewy that my dog had trouble eating them , looking at reviews from over a year ago it seems it was a problem then and you obviously aren't interested in rectifying the problem, I won't be purchasing any more.

I recently bought a Black Farmer Mutton curry ready meal at Tesco.
To be honest it was disappointing. A couple of lumps of mutton in a relatively small amount of sauce - not enough to soak the long grained rice in the pack.
Taste-wise it wasn’t spectacular - bitter and not very spicy - maybe too much salt.
Looking at other reviews on the Tesco website, my experience was not a one-off.
I think that B F is doing itself a disservice with this. The sleeve of the meal made a big play on the Windrush and the Black Farmer himself. Quality and Quality control are more important. The Caribbean attitude of “Be Happy, don’t worry” mustn’t let quality go out the window,
