It’s simple really
I get exceptional service from the Banbury office and team
In particular Lee is at the end of a phone and recently arrived the morning after my call to the office to deal with outbreak of Fusarium on my lawn
He is a credit to the company and relies on Janet in the office to keep communication flowing
Lee also manages the local area and cares for his role of looking after the customer base and his team
I call the whole setup “ good old fashioned service “ and recommend the local business on the above comments. Thankyou to all. Mike Kidd

Do not waste your money!
I used this company services for 16 months and I am really disappointed.
Firstly the communication with them is very poor every time I had to ring them and escalate an issue yo be solved.
Secondly, for this period of time there was no improvement whatsoever absolutely waste of money!
Along with their services I have been looking after my back lawn and comparing with the front the difference is shocking. My back lawn is times better than the front which has been maintaining by "professionals"
I have given this company so many chances but nothing has changed, just wasted my money!
Apart from this there were times that they didn't turn up on the scheduled day and again- phone calls, complains and reschedulings...
They give you a two hours time slot and never turn up within those 2 hours!
I don't really get how this company has such poor management!!
Do not waste your money guys. It is not worth it going through this nightmare!

We have been with Greenthumb over twelve years in total and up to 2024 we would have given five stars.
Early this year our local franchisee retired and head office took over.
We have absolutely no issue with our operative, Will, who is friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. However dealing with head office twice this year over an issue with weeds in the grass has been the opposite and we were on the point of cancelling our contract of nearly £500 per annum. Eventually a visit this week from regional manger, Rob, has dispelled that course of action for now, much to his positive approach.
Green thumb need a new franchise holder or a total review of head office attitude.

After 3 years my lawn is finally coming along, but no thanks to greenthumb themselves, a usual operative came round, (I must also add the one on the previous year, said it was his mission , along with the opperative the year before, to ensure to get my lawn to where it should be. The other day when a nutri green was meant to be put down via an email I received a few days earlier the operative came, NO TREATMENTS, and told me to just carry on watering each day when im just watering bold patches, it's been re seeded and top soiled at least 12 times ,3 times this year alone. ive asked for some seed so i can seed and top soil where needed, as the operative the year before allowed this. now this isn't allowed apparently and on the last occasion he never had any seed on his van!! its had numerous aeration but with the machine they use , probably helpful for a farmers field but not for a small garden. so I took things into my own hand and spent at least 8 hours putting 1000's of spike holes into the ground the day before green thumb arrived, and once again compacted my ground even more over the years, then put seed down. That's why it's flourished recently. but I'm still expected to carry on watering bold patches without seed or top soil, daily, after its last seeding and top soil was around 12 weeks ago, the whole process seems futile and a waste of my time and water costs. I've made a call to speak to Derbys franchise boss but he never got back to me, and i may also add its not the first time. There is so much more I can say but I'm getting keyboard angry and annoyed about the service I've received. Let's see if I get a response from this. And I'm never one Daryl for complaining when Not necessary but it's starting to become a joke watering daily after 3 years of treatment when a grass just meters away on public land gets nothing but at least there's grass. I'm very disappointed and hoped after all these years I'd see something without having to put my own graft into the project.

We signed up to Greenthumb for our first treatment in May 2024 after seeing how great my parents lawn was looking after using the company. Initially we noticed improvements with the moss that had been there being treated. However fast forward to now and our lawn looks dreadful, completely brown and patchy. Not only our lawn but my parents lawn whose had always looked great looks just as bad. I’m not sure if they’ve changed what they have used but both our lawns (front and back for my parents) are looking terrible, especially compared to all the lawns from houses around us who haven’t received any treatment. Complete waste of money that we will need to now spend money on trying to improve.

Looked after my garden for 6 - 7 years they've eventually ruined it what a waste of money, they ruin it then try charging me to put it right😡

Came to our new build and seeded the garden and the grass has been just amazing!

Darren has been on call if we had any questions and came back to us really quickly! Quote was quick and easy and the work got done not long after.

Gentleman that completed the work were lovely and good at what they do.
We opt for the monthly direct debit same as family members and we are so far very happy.

What a fraudulent company.. taking money by DD and rarely showing up, no answer to calls.. just get yoru gardener to do maintenance, lot cheaper as these guys are fraudsters

Removed family cars from the drive to be told they’ve run out of weed killer!! 😡 then said I’ve not got an account, then said it was for a quote ….. terrible customer service I have got an account, I gave you the go ahead regardless of price, …. Will update ratings when/if completed.

Just had Dan (Croydon) treat the lawn. Friendly, polite, knowledgeable and did a great job.

After a fair few years of continual lawn maintenance our lawn has never looked better and is a major marvel in the place we live in. Most, if not all of that, is due to the service that GreenThumb provide.
This last visit, last week, included aeration, scarification and Nutraboost and Oasis applications and already (even with very little rain) the lawn is set for another summer !

Great airation and scarification job by Glyn at the Sheffield branch of Greenthumb. He is really committed to the best lawn health and knows so much about the requirements of a well kept weed -free lawn!

Had my lawn Scarified by Glyn and Ian today, great job done and left no mess at all, which is tough when Scarifying. Glyn is a goo lad always gives good advice and is my usual visitor.

Would recommend the Sheffield branch for anyone

Really unreliable. Have used them for a few years and grew increasingly frustrated by the unreliability of service. Appointments constantly changing, often no-one turned up when I was expecting them, leaving me to chase up for when they would come. Rubbish customer service.

Glyn & Ian from Sheffield branch scarified our lawns and did a great job. Fiddly job with different areas. The guys did a thorough job including bagging up all the stuff (28 bags!). Glyn took the time to give me some tips on lawncare and best way to do the next cut.

After having used green thumb a few years ago when I lived back in Liverpool, I didn’t hesitate to recommend them to my partner at the property we live at now in Royton greater Manchester, a guy called out on time and the company also gave me a call 15 minutes prior, which I asked them too, to let me know when he would turn up, The gardener who arrived was very friendly, he listened to what I wanted. And also gave me some great advice. On that basis I told my partner we will definitely be using green thumbs services, and I’ve now been informed the guy who came out to advise us and give us the quote. Will also be our regular gardener. An absolutely lovely guy. His name is IAN. And I look forward to seeing him again. ! Kindest regards. Kevin Taylor

Do not send invoices then demand payment. When something (like a weed treatment) fails you get charged again.

The product is great the person who has the franchise in my area is really rubbish , never answers emails, doesn’t come when he says he is going to come, but is very fast to collect and push for payment after his poor service - who is put there with a similar product?
