The interview process went smoothly and I felt prepared on what to discuss during the interview with the client.

I interviewed with Alex at Language Spa for a local opportunity. He was super fast and responsive and the process was very easy. They got back to me the next day after the interview even though the company ultimately passed. Overall a great experience.

Alex was a huge help with everything. He restructured and arranged my CV to a much more professional standard which I have continued to use. He’d also found me an interview very quickly and I got some help with getting ready for the interview.

I have since used the CV that was worked on by Alex and it set me up for my job search which I can’t be more thankful for.

I highly recommend their services and for me personally Alex couldn’t have been more helpful.

The candidate which was put forward did not clear the third party reference checks and we withdrew our job offer. The recruiter became verbally abusive. I have written to the director and am waiting for an answer . Below an extract of what I have advised them

We could debate the finer details of the situation, but that is not really the issue. What concerns me is that this type of communication does not bode well for establishing or maintaining long-term business relationships.

A more professional approach would simply have been to accept that recruitment is a process where "you win some, you lose some." If references do not meet the required standard, the appropriate response is to move on to the next candidate rather than engage in unnecessarily confrontational or discourteous correspondence.

The owner of the company has actually written back with the same foul language , using swear words and threatening language

Language Spa is a great company to work with and after an initial assessment I was guided through the interview process with my current employer seemlessly - good process overall and quality preparation materials to work with too.

Communication with applicants needs improving and this is something for management to look into. Quick response times, though.

Seems like they have good employer contacts, which is valuable for any language grads!

They sent me an opportunity for a German speaking role and were able to provide me with the job description with very clear steps of the interview process. Very proactive with the contacting which I loved!

Furthermore the recruiters were keeping in touch with me throughout the interview stages and gave me helpful advice by pushing my advantages like my German language and background to it for the role.

The Language spa was first reaching out to me about a German speaking role and went to the company and did my presentation. I didn’t get the job for the German speaking SDR role but they kept me in their portfolio and after 4 months they offered me a Dutch speaking role as SDR. Good all round recruitment process which resulted in a job offer. They put a lot of time into making sure candidates are prepared which is definitely worthwhile. Recommend them for language roles in sales and customer success or customer service.

The communication with my agent at the time was smooth and straightforward to keep up with. They make sure to update regularly on the process which helps a lot. In regards to languages I'm not a native speaker so was put through one of their assessments for writing and speaking.

Applied for a job and got contacted via email, shortly followed via WhatsApp. Found it a bit odd for them to reach out via WhatsApp, but no big issue.

Had a call scheduled - they called me and hung up immediately. I called back but no answer. After that they just messaged and told me my experience would be B2C, whereas they’re looking for B2B. Good spot, my CV says B2C. I had no further feedback and followed up via message again a week later. They said I would not be a good fit based on that - that’s fair if I’m not a good fit and I’m not upset about that. However, what annoys me is the bad communication from their end. No answer to my call, and replies to my messages were just single words.

I have been working at Language Spa for over a year and it is a great company. We are a team of 8 people working with top clients across the UK and USA. Language Spa look after their staff and have cool management. Hope to see more positive reviews like this! Freya
