The light bulb never arrived
both lamps did NOT look like their photos and are unusable.
Contacted their customer service and they would only accept a return if you pay for shipping yourself + they keep a 20% restocking fee.

NZ$2k stock order, not shipped after 26 days, still "coordinating"
Paid in full NZ$2k for items advertised by them as "In Stock" but received no shipping notification. Fifteen days passed by with no contact at all. When queried, I received a confusing reply which dealt with another item (which they admitted they could not supply for 18 weeks - another story). After clarification, and several more days with no replies to my emails, by then 23 days after payment in full, all they would say was that they were "currently coordinating with our designated team regarding your request and will provide you with an update as soon as we have more information". Now another three days of silence despite follow up emails.

“Disappointing experience. Item arrived not as expected and there was absolutely no flexibility or reasonable return option offered. Customer service felt dismissive once the sale was completed. Buyers should be very careful before purchasing, because if something goes wrong, you may be stuck with it.
Poor service
Poor service. Light Damaged (scratched) in the post. Not packed well (no padding inside box) I had paid the insurance to cover this but they will not replace, just offered an $8 refund (10%). Inside of light different colour on website. Took over two weeks for the light to arrive. Will not buy from this company again. Disappointed.

The Lighting Outlet Australia claims they have a store in Wellington NZ with NZ online sales. There is no NZ The Lighting Outlet business in NZ, the NZ address is false and any goods purchased online are ex. Australia

The product description on the website was comprehensive which made it easy to choose the right product. Delivery was very quick. Excellent experience.

mark your product properly
the light we bought works well but is a sensor light and nowhere on the packaging does it say this. I would not have ordered it a we need a constant source of light. As it is not usable as a sensor light the electrician had to somehow block this which cost time and money. Good thing the electrician noticed as he was wiring it in. Electrician searched al packaging and nowhere does is say it is a sensor light. he's very unimpressed.
Terrible delivery service
The delivery or lack of ruins the entire experience, it doesn't really matter about the products in the end if the delivery is crap.
Using "dark patterns" on web site
Using "dark patterns" on web site. Added "TLO Shipping Protection" to my order basket without explanation. asked 4X on a single order if I wanted to subscribe to your marketing newsletter. After double checking order, and seeing unknown item added, I asked to cancel order within 5 minutes. They did give a full refund ...but they said if was one-off, for me only, and implied they were doing me a favor because their policy was store credit. "Store credit only" is illegal, because "dark patterns" and unexpected additions explicitly require full refunds always. Store policies do not overrule Australian consumer laws.

Customer Service call = A long wait for no answers!
After I filled my online basket with 5 items, I called customer service with a few questions on one their products. This turned into one of those calls where you are not sure if you are being understood. I tried to explain slowly & carefully, then waited on hold while they checked with 'the warehouse'. Eventually, the one answer I got didn't make sense. I couldn't get any further clarification so I ended the call. Overall a very frustrating experience. Don't waste your time with their customer 'service'.

Buyer beware and stay claer of this company!! After ordering a light that was back ordered twice and changing to another light that was in stock when i ordered it, only to be told after chasing them that it was now on also on back order, is really really poor service. Hard to contact them. No return phone calls and I am now trying to get a refund. Just steer clear!
The LED battens replace the old fluoro…
The LED battens replace the old fluoro lights in my workshop. The light they produce is excellent as well as being a lot cheaper to run.

Excellent products and service. Purchased 3 Luma Ultra Slim LED Oyster Lights which are well designed and built, and look perfect in our rooms. Also very well packaged and delivered on time.
Horrendous customer service
Horrendous customer service - do not buy from this company. Claims to be operating out of Australia and New Zealand but sincerely doubt there's any New Zealand warehousing at all. Paid for express shipping which took over the outlined time to be fulfilled and now hasn't updated tracking in over a week which they are claiming is my responsibility despite what NZ CGA outlines.
Really bad experience
Really bad experience. It took them more than two weeks to prepare the shipment of the item. They have absolutely no idea what they sell, the specifications on their website are misleading, and the product doesn’t look like the pictures at all. In the end, when I asked for a refund and return of the product, they stopped responding to me.
This is absolutely disgraceful. Avoid this shop at all costs.
